Btw I called Cincinnati bell to help me fix this problem that you are talking about in this video and they didn’t even know of this button. They just went back to their grand ole van and grabbed a new router. Thank you my guy
I was not able to factory reset that way. I had to unplug the power. Hold the reset button down while I plug the power in. Keep holding the reset button until the orange lights flash a couple of times and then go out completely then let go of the button. Wait approximately 5 minutes for a full reset.
Chad, I was having issues with my Google mesh router and two points and the connectivity to the existing service providers router recently recently so I just hard reset the Google mesh router that light is slow flashing on and off just like you said, but I am now having a problem, reconnecting that router to the service provider router, and I cannot find the video that you stated at the end of this video on how to reconnect to it
I have 3 access Points. 1st point is connected to my home router. When I perform the factory reset, do I unplug the other 2 points or leave them plugged in?
Hi! I encountered a problem with my google home while installing my google nest main router. It says "Problem connecting to cloud" . Itried installing and reinstalling the app, checked the bluetooth. The problem is still there. Just wondering maybe you have a solution on how to fix the "problem connecting to cloud"
After we reset it from the router can we just add it back on the app? So we don't have to reset up all the devices in the house cause I'm only able to get 25 devices and nest kicks devices off the network after that?
I do need help with the setup. I am one last try away from sending it back. It continues to get stuck on the last step. I've gone through all the steps via Google Home app successfully until I hit 'Checking internet connection' and then I get the 'WAN settings are incorrect' screen where I can choose between DHCP, Static IP and PPPoE. I selected PPPoE put in my internet service name (Spectrum) and password. It checked and came back to the same screen. Tried DHCP but it just tries again and comes back to the same screen. I cannot find an answer to what I am missing nor a video of any who have worked through it, though I have read many others asking the same questions. Any ideas what I am doing incorrectly?
My google nest wifi router wont connect to wifi network but for some reason, its already "connected" to google wifi on my phone but my router was never set up. Now if I try to connect to that same network on my labtop, it asks for a password but i never made one. I dont understand how my phone is already connected to the wifi when I never put in a password. I'm so confused
It was a very difficult video to follow since the phone cannot be seen from the camera angle that was chosen. Reconsider making this video over please.
@@sellgooddeals-DIY no it didn’t fix issue. I spoke frontier my internet provider and they sending me a new router and hopefully that will fix this issues.
AMAZING, bought a used one and could not for the life of me find anywhere else that told me how to use the button on the bottom! Thank you!
Great to hear!

Reset through app did not work, second method really worked !!! Thank you.
Good to hear!
Simple and a short video. Nailed it. In hindsight you should have reversed the order of the options. Thank you
Thank you!!! You should have shown the button underneath as the first option though!
I didn’t even know it had the button! The google help docs are worthless. Thanks for your help!!!!

Great video, helped me talk a friend through troubleshooting over the phone!
Hey man, can you leave a link to the video where you explain how to set it up afterwords?
Were you ever able to find the video on how to set it up again after resetting it ?
Very helpful. Thank you for sharing this information.
You are so welcome!

@@instantvortex3429 hi! it's alright! it's been resolved already. Thank you very much!

Did you ever figure this out
Just setup the 1 device again after reset and name it the same wifi network and password you had before. It will all reconnect automatically
Thanks dude, needed that button!
No problem 👍
Very helpful.
Yes, it reset the password along with all of the other settings.

I would definitely reset the router. Are you using Google Home app to initially set it up?
sellgooddeals DIY yes!
Omg mine did the same
The QR code scanning process hooks the phone in. Look closely you will see the ssid and password embossed.
@@sellgooddeals-DIY once I reset the router how I I set it back up?
I can’t find the video to re-setup the Nest Router
Will this enable me to rest the password?

I tried to reset my nest WiFi router now I can’t reconnect to it on the google home app
Unplug the router plug it back in, wait 15-20 min try it again. You should be good to go.
Unplug the nest router or my main router? I unplug the nest router yesterday for the whole night already
Ever get it to work again? I’m having the same issue
