Actually, it's not a very well known technique, but you can actually skate with your feet instead of your hands. Some people would even say it's easier

No instruction or comments on weight distribution? I feel that whenever I ollie over a hip I don't put enough weigh forward, and then fall back. Obviously more of a problem on steeper hips. Any thoughts or instructions on landing on a downward slope with more control? But, thanks for the video!
Aaron i learned slappys at the skatepark yesterday and when i got home it was about to be night time so i waxed a good looking curb across of the street from my house and then today i skated it and the curb was like butter and i had a 4 to 5 hour skate sesh on it and it was a good time so you need to learn it

Mostly over the top, and maybe a little to the front when popping to go higher. In no Ollie situation you lean backwards. If it's an ollie scenario you are mostly over the top and front when popping.
Every time I try to do an Ollie up the ramp, I can't seem to pop my board. I have been skating for so long and know how to Ollie while moving but idk why I can learn this

I've noticed the kid with red wheels and a live skate die deck in a lot of your videos, but it gave me an idea. Aaron, I think you should feature local kids maybe once a month with their own little parts on your channel. I think it would be a really cool thing for the young kiddos that are new to skating.

you should do some more today i learned vids. like go do some tricks that you dont normally do, or on a different feature and just show some progression on that. get a flat rail and just do every grind there is. would be a good change.

It would have made more sense to do a tute on steeper transitioned hips with coping etc. That seems more of a challenge for learners than this slightly sloping flatground.

Go when there's fewer people there i.e. early morning. As a more experienced skater I know it can be a pain in the ass to have a noob wobbling around in the middle of a session, not following the unwritten rules etc. Haha your comment was three years ago you're probably sponsored by now!

The hip at my local park is massive, its really steap and makes this one look tiny, but ive done a couple ollies on over it but this helped.

Tips on why am I better at frontside tricks rather than backside?
Assuming you look forwards while you skate, for a front 180 your eyes don't turn. For a back 180 they have to turn 360 = much harder.

+Matheus Skates I would recommend starting with adidas, emerica, or lakai shoe, vans tear incredibly fast, they are the shoes that lasted me less in all my skating(chima pro). I would also reccomend to use vulc sole shoes first, look up for that on the internet if you dont know what is that
My last two pairs of shoes have been emerica Romeros. They are really durable and last a long time but I'd recommend getting some better insoles because they have basically no impact protection

there is no small hip here, there's only a hip. Also the ramps are pretty high and it's so hard to learn as a beginner on these big obstacles :(
