I keep re-watching all your videos to keep things fresh in my head. Thanks again for all the hard work you've done on these.
Thanks Iron Chief ! I should probably do that myself to stay sharp 😂 plenty more to come …
You have an incredible collection! Thank you for taking the time to educate us on these beautiful marbles! 💖🙏
Thanks for watching Karen ! 🔴
Loved the video... thanks for making it.. best wishes Kaisen Hughes Ireland
Thanks Kaiden ! Have a great weekend!
Hi Stephen -- any chance on a Vitro update? I still watch your marble videos over and over. I learn something new each time. Your videos are a godsend for the beginning collector. Hope all is well with you.
Hi Gabriel and thank you for the suggestion. I will come back to Vitro and maybe show my entire Vitro collection with identification tips. I’m currently working on a Mid-Atlantic video and Alley Agate, I can get to Vitro soon after.
I watch your videos over and thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
Thank you Cindy ! I appreciate it . Happy Holidays ! 🟢⚪️🔴
I like marbles. I started my collection.
Congratulations David ! Welcome to the hobby ! 🔵
Love the older Vitros! The vibrant colors and signature Vitro thick paintlike striations are a stunning combination
אני כשהייתי קטנה שיחקתי בגבולות מערבל והיום אני מוקסמת מהאוסף לו ,לנו אף פעם לא היו כאלו יפים כל הכבוד
awesome marbles and video
Great video I like the way you displayed them on the multi holed round flower frog and flat candle holders super idea being the marbles stay put in the holes. I am going to look for some of them in antique and thrift stores as well as yard sales to display some of my marbles. Thanks for the information clear photos. Peace and be good to each other. Stay safe stay inside flatten the curve save lives.
Thank you for the video😊
Thanks for watching Donna ! 🔵
Great video! LOVE the Aquamarines!
Truly awesome marbles! Great job informing us on the variations.😉
Well done! Great examples of beautiful Vitros and clear explanations.
Thanks for the great videos Stephen! I am wondering if you have done a video talking about the measurements of the marbles to help determine and identify them? You really do make learning and collecting marbles interesting, I have learned so much in the past couple of weeks
@@stephenbahrmarbles trying to identify the collection I have is starting to eat away at my brain, and I talk about marbles all the time now. I love getting up really early before the rest of my family, making my coffee, putting on old records , and having an hour to myself to learn, research or examine my collection. I had a collection I picked up a garage sale years ago and recently I picked up a tub at the thrift store which had big Tom bowlers in it that I had never had before and down the rabbit hole I fell. I have the tiniest sweetest little baby cat’s eye and I just don’t see a lot of littles like that.. I also have some really interesting translucent ones, deep deep teal, deep purple... so pretty and so interesting. Again thanks for your videos they really have helped me become way more obsessive..lol.
@@stephenbahrmarbles never have and never will! I am a USN military brat from way back but I live up in Canada on the West Coast of BC.
Do you have video on seam comparisons specifically?
@@stephenbahrmarbles thanks!! I will check that out with my cuppa this afternoon, throw on some Tijuana Brass and ignore the yard work in the rain! I was recently given a magnifying work light from an estate sale and it too is contributing to my obsessive interest in marbles
Quick question. When you are covering the Parrots towards the end of the video. In the same glass plate there's a blue based marble that is not the "Blue Devil". It kind of looks like a Master Marble blue based brushed patch marble. Did Vitro make a marble like that as well?
Hi Bazooka, that blue one in the middle, and the other two that I called “Conquerors” are actually very bold Japanese Pincer boulders. I hadn’t realized it at the time. Thanks for bringing that up ⬆️
@@stephenbahrmarbles ahh i see. Thank you for the info. Ill have to do a lil research on pincers since this is my first time hearing of them. I look forward to more videos from you in the future
Thank you ! And thanks for watching!
I don't use conqueror in my names for the older Vitro types. I just call them Vitro Exotics and Vitro Fancys. The names Victory and Conqueror were given to two new marble types named in honor of America's place in WWll and to the veterans that secured that place. These names should stand where they were issued. Conqueror is too hard to spell and has too many letters to type anyway. Nice video, Steve.
Thanks John , yes you make an accurate account. I’ve seen a few Conqueror net bags and they seem so historical given their place in our wartime history. Thank you for sharing!🔴⚪️🔵
Beautiful marbles Stephen. How big was the overseas export market on these?
Hi Stephanie, I’m not sure enough to give you an informative answer, but they are found outside of the USA for sure.
Thank you Stephanie!🔴
I bought a "buttermilk" not too long ago on eBay and I guess it is not a buttermilk after all. It was under 20 bucks so I think I could have done worse, right? Thanks for your videos! I'm learning a lot!
I have a lot of marbles that I got from a friend who was born around 1900 and he was from Virginia I have all his ;they are very old but I don’t know how to value them or sell them. I would appreciate any advice
Hi Alvin, you would want to be identify some of the more colorful ones. Those are usually the priciest. Go to the Marble Collector’s boards , there’s plenty on Facebook- and watch more videos like this. General values can be found on EBay when you search ended auctions. There’s alot of layers to the hobby so there’s no quick fix. You may want to keep some of your favorites. Good luck !
I live about a 3 min walk to the old Vitro Marble co in Parkersburg WV
I need to visit you !
Very Nice!! Love all the different veriations of Vitro's. Great video
😊
