@@MadisonMainedetecting aha Ok thanks ! They might have gotten hotter recently. Sometimes certain marbles will go up and down like that. I personally would think $40.00 is a fair price for a nice busy fancy one. They are hard to find, so the supply /demand thing will drive them for sure.
Thanks for the comment Avard, it’s always good to know what the viewers are most interested in! I’ll be uploading a new appraisal video with Bob Block in the next couple of days.
I came across some clear base peltiers like the dragon and early clear red one in this video. The ones I came across had either an abalone or metallic striations that I haven't seen before.
@@stephenbahrmarbles We only ever traded them for normals, so we could use them to roll for better marbles, so we could trade them... Just went around in circles lol
Thanks Stephen. I have a small collection (maybe a couple thousand marbles 2/3 of which are Jabo Dave M stuff from early 2000s) just done for the love of colors and memories. I’d like to learn a lot more so I can categorize them. Best references?
There’s a few books on them that I can’t recall off the top of my head. We will be filming a Jabo Classic video in about a month. I’ve been preparing for it . Great (and unique ) colors for sure!
Hi, new to yoir channel, loving the videos. Could you please tell me how you can tell if a marble has its original outer layer and not been ground to cover damage. Or could you possibly do a video about? Thanks.
Hi Vorian and welcome to the channel. I could do a video sometime. It starts to get easy to tell when you know what the normal appearance is on a marble, and then you see a polished one and it becomes obvious it was skimmed down.
I have 8 or 9 mason jars of marbles my grandmother collected, she was born in the 1920's....they are very old and in very very good condition. Where is the best place to have them appraised. I live in the Tallahassee Florida area
My dad was a collector of everything but when he died I got some of his hobbies its been 20+ years and I just can't get into it so I would like to sell all of them at one time please if anyone is interested reply t ok me
Hi Allen, you could always put them up on EBay or contact Bob Block. I could take a look at them if you like. Email me at sbahr@scarletknights.com Thank you
Visit the Block's Marble Action for their upcoming auctions here: www.marbleauctions.com/
You better look again on the Cairo Hurricane, I have wanted one but on ebay they can go over $100 easily

Hi Stephen. Your videos have become such an important resource for the marble collecting world. Very nice to see Bob Block too.
Thank you Gabriel, Bob is a consummate professional and we will be seeing more from him on this channel!
I like this type of video. Good for a beginner like me. I am in the accumulating stage and learning fast. Thanks for posting.

Hi Mike thank you and I hope you have a great weekend!
Those sparklers! I don’t have any marbles that fancy, I don’t think.😢
Maybe someday Mackey ✨
@@stephenbahrmarbles I have pencilled in the Indiana show for my first marble “convention” this fall.
I will learn a lot, I am sure.👍
Those prices are each?
Yes : for mint examples at auction. Everything here can be found cheaper in the wild .

Wow Chris that does sound very unusual, but I have seen a few oddities like that from Peltier. Nice finds!
For sure! And I've been buying marbles from Blocks marble auctions too so it was cool to see this.
I remember playing marbles at school 40 years ago. I think cats eyes and cage marbles were worth the most when trading.
Peter John yes they were popular for sure : but mass produced, and because of their abundance they hold very little value to collectors today.
