RIBottleguy and missdetectorist join Cathy for a day of metal detecting at the old farm. It is a 200+ year old property!! What will we find? This old place has been searched before, but continues to give up finds, from colonial to present! Hope you enjoy this collaboration video! Watch these two expert detectorists find some pieces of history that Cathy missed! (And watch Cathy find a heartbreaker!)
You will definitely want to check out these two channels (links below)

Always great to go relic hunting with friends ❤
Nice finds everyone. Thanks for sharing!
Fun 🎉😊
That was fun, some OLD stuff still on the property!
Hi There! Yes, still some great finds.. (and still sooo much trash 🗑️, which makes it difficult to hear the good stuff!)
Most of the signals I dig are trash. 😜
Let’s go, let’s go treasure and adventure✌️💕👵🇺🇸🎉🌺
Hi There! 👋😃😎 Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you enjoy the video! -Cathy & Drew
🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃
Thanks for having us! It was a lot of fun!
You're welcome! So glad you both rescued some awesome pieces of history! Let us know if you want to come back (maybe when we do some more mowing). 😁😎👍
Hi 👋🏻 Drew & Kathy I don’t believe I ever saw you detect before. I like watching detectorist it’s fun! I am very happy you have found your relics in the past. I know it’s not always easy to find good treasures all the time. I also detect, but not often nowadays. I find it relaxing from the fresh air. I hope you find more wonderful treasures in the future. Have a wonderful weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
Hi There! Glad you enjoyed it! Yes I detect, especially when the rivers are too high. We have a metal detecting playlist on our channel.. ( just a few videos, and a year or two ago) I will be posting some shorter detecting vids (from this year) this fall/winter. I don't always have enough great finds per trip for a whole video, so I may combine trips/finds. I know not all our viewers are into detecting, but it's what I do, as well as mudlarking. Hope more of our regular viewers tune in to this one! Thanks for watching! -Cathy 👋😃💖
Wow!!! I've missed a lot!!! Okay. Now I have to find time to binge watch!!! Lol!!!
Thanks Anthony! There are several people "regulars" we haven't heard from lately... I'm just checking up. 🙂 Be sure that you've clicked the bell 🔔 to get notified. I don't think it's you though.. We have also had some comments blocked by UA-cam. Anyway, glad you are alive and well. 😁💖😎👍
@@massriverpickers - Awww!!! Thank you so very much for thinking of me!!! That's so sweet!!! And yes, I definitely have the bell on. I'm just starting the metal detecting video.
Cathy that was a fun hunt, as many times you detected the family farm, more relics. Fun day with friends. Drew missed out on the detecting fun. Loved the farm door hinges.👍👏😀
Drew would be more interested in "bottle detecting" Lol We still can't find the bottle dump there! 🤔😎
Hi Cathy and Drew, fun video! I love the Crotal bell you found previously, what a beauty! You all seemed to have a good day, the buttons are lovely and I really like the 'open work' buckle. 😀💖x
Hi Amanda! It was a fun day, metal detecting... I have been trying to get as much digging in as I can, before it snows!
That large crotal bell I have had for years.. It was one of my earliest finds there. I wish that large copper coin wasn't blank... Oh well. Glad you enjoyed the video. There will be more detecting.. with my friend "prickly porky" (a mild mannered porcupine whose been keeping me company up there!) 😁🦔💕
@@massriverpickers A Porcupine?! Omg, I can't wait for that! 😀 How are all your other animal friends doing? 💖x
@@amandabell8827 Oh, I know I'm behind in backyard wildlife vids.. the turkeys are grouping together again for winter.. we had 29 of them the other day. The Chucks have gone to bed for the season. We continue to feed the bunnies, although they are keeping out of sight lately (the owls are active). I DO need to get more backyard animal vids up! 🐿️🐇🦃🦌🦉🦔🐐
@@massriverpickers No pressure lol, but I do love watching them. I envy you having such an amazing garden with such a variety of animals and birds. My place is on a main road which would be great for car lovers ......sadly I'm not one of them 😅💖x
Hi Amanda, Busy week here! (Thanksgiving) No video, just a post on our community page (Drew feeding turkeys🦃🦃🦃). I hope to get a vid up next week. Just saying hello now, cuz I'm used to our chats. 😁 Going to bed soon.🥱 Have a good week! 💖
Find of the day? Beautiful Preying Mantis!!
😄💖 I do love those beautiful bugs! I did not have my "good camera" with me that day... But you will (eventually) see some nice mantis photos I took on another day, same place. I have had the pleasure of a porcupine's company lately as well! Lol (Yes, I photographed him as well)
Thanks for commenting! 👋😃🦔💕
Sweet finds! I'm subscribed to RIBottleguy and used to follow Maia's videos, but hadn't seen one in several years. Nice to see you all digging together!
Hi Gary, It was definitely a fun day, and a privilege to have both of these really skilled detectorists help to recover some long lost history! Glad you caught the video! Different personalities and different machines, find different things. I've been hunting this old farm for years! Thanks for watching and commenting! -Cathy 👋😃
There were some beautiful finds there, Cathy! Taylor is a silver magnet, isn't he? Maia's buckle is amazing! Very nice collaboration!❤
Hi Cynthia! 👋😃 Glad you enjoyed the collaboration! There's no way I would have found all those relics myself (I've been detecting there for years.. it is a huge property). No bottles though.. we're still trying to find the bottle dump! 🤔 Yes, Taylor IS a silver magnet.. you should check out his channel (if you haven't already) He finds great bottles too! Thanks always Cynthia! 👋😃😎👍
Hello 👋 all a nice double up ❤,and some really lovely finds 👍.
Greetings from England 🇬🇧 Simon and Beth ❤️ 🙋👍
Hello Simon & Beth! So glad you enjoyed the video! ❤️ From U.S.A. 👋😃😎👍🇺🇸
Did you dig those finds you wrre showing at the beginning, Cathy? That crotal bell is unbelievable!!! And that lead toy anti-aircraft truck is amazing!!! Very cool!!!!
Thanks Anthony, Yes, those items in the beginning of the video (and many more!) I dug on that property over many years.
I will show more in future videos, including a very cool lead sailor holding a 🇺🇸! -Cathy🙂
😊❤
Hi Cindy! 👋😃💖
Ox nose ring?
Interesting.. 🤔 I hadn't thought of that.
Wow, what a massive crotal bell, congrats on that! You guys had a nice little group hunt, always more fun digging with friends. Awesome video keep up the great work from your northern neighbors Jim and Mason, NH USA.
Hi Jim & Mason! Yes, the old farm has produced LOTS of great finds.. more crotal bells, buttons, old toys, coins, etc. You will see more in future videos, I have yet to edit. I have been detecting there for decades, and there are still treasures to be found. But the amount of trash makes detecting difficult. (I spared our viewers all the trash dug!) It is fun having friends along, with different machines, and skill levels. You get different results!
Just wish we could find the bottle dump/out house there.. We're still looking!
How far up in NH are you guys?
-Cathy 👋🙂😎 (& Drew)
@massriverpickers Hi Cathy and Drew. We aren't far from the Mass border. The Seacoast/Strafford County area. Wish we were better at finding the bottle dumps and privies too! We have been to over 50 cellar holes in NH and Maine and only located a couple. Happy hunting to you guys!
✌🏼💚✌🏼💚 when I get a car going again, I would love to come hunt with you folks. I'm new to vermont and still searching for some good spots. Had a killer bottle dump in NH I would years ago. 💚✌🏼💚✌🏼 from Vermont
Any vermonters read this let's get together.
🤘 What a great day of Treasure hunting! I wonder Cathy if you ever feel a presence while walking out there on your Fathers farm ? I bet you’ll find stuff out there …. forever That Colonial buckle is The Bomb ! Very cool 😎
🦃 Say Hey 👋 To The Drew-Meister ….. Oh & please pass the cranberry sauce 😅
P S - I learned a new word ; Sprue
Hi Christopher, and Happy Thanksgiving! (If you didn't already see our community page post.. Drew feeding the turkeys today). As for feeling a "presence" on the farm, lately it has just been a friendly porcupine 🦔, who's accompanying me on my hunts (you will see "Prickly Porky" in some future vids). Glad you enjoyed the vid, although you are not fond of metal detecting yourself Lol. I envy Maia's colonial shoe buckle!! But I had missed it all these years, and I'm glad it is now found and appreciated by someone. The tombac buttons Taylor found are also 1700's. (Real estate records claim the house was built in 1920 🤣) I wish I could go back further on the history of the place... 🤔. And BTW, "sprue" was a new word for me too! (Interruption)
Well we just fed Timmy, Jumpy, and friends (our flying squirrels) I tried to get some shots and vid. If anything good, I'll post it. Drew says "Hey 😎👍" 🦃🦃🦃
What # is on the bell? I sold all of mine. The largest one I had was a #12. It was a honker like the one you found. I absolutely love the great seal rosett.
All I can make out is what looks like VN above the slit, and a number 2 below. But it's pretty big! I would love to know more about it myself.. especially the "V N" 🤔
Thank you so much . I always look forward to your videos
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!🙂
The bottle caps are collected and valued
Hello Chris, How recent on the bottle caps? (Crown-top only?) Most older ones I find are rusted beyond recognition. This one was prob 1980s. I particularly dislike the screw cap Pepsi caps, cuz they sound just like coins!! 🎧 🤑
-Cathy🙂
