Review about recently released tamil movie master which has vijay, andrea, malavika mohanan and many others playing the lead role. The movie is directed by Lokesh kanagaraj
Vijay has to accept movies with different kind of stories. We've been seeing Vijay doing almost same kind of movies in the last 20 years. He's got skills but a change is required.
He will not as long as movie goers make his movies a hit/blockbuster. But if people dont support and make his film flop for at least 4 films back to back, then he may start doing new roles..........

@Sam Thomas No one will call U a hater ! I am a Vijay fan myself and hv no problem with him doing commercial movies cause his performance in these films is undoubtedly great ! But I am dying to see him play a challenging role ( experimental ) , something I saw in Kannakulle Nilavu, under potential directors !! He has to balance both the ends !!
@Sam Thomas I can clearly understand what ur trying to say but you know what even in commercial movies there are certain simple moments which define the potential of an actor but usually gets overshadowed by the so called mass moments ! I mean its not that I donot enjoy these mass moments but sometimes I am like “ Do we really need this now ??”
One major Example of this is the film BIGIL . the film has a lot of flaws but the way Vijay presented the character of Rayappan was simply 🔥 I’ve seen only certain great actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan playing father son role with this level of perfection ! but again the character of bigil was sooo Massy and had so many punch dialogues that it felt a little cringy when compared to Rayappan’s character ! I somehow felt that Lokesh kept the perfect balance of acting amd mass movements in the master ! But again why do u need Mass moments when u hv a good actor ? Vijay’s eyes are damm powerful !! 😒

As its own, master is amazing. The reason why people are disappointed is because of Lokesh's previous films, Maanagaram and Kaithi. These movies raised the bar of expectations and master didn't really match the level of these two films. But it still was an AMAZING film alright. Definitely worth watching.

It's a 70:30 vijay- lokesh film. Everybody is telling it's an average entertainer, only because lokesh has given us MAANAGARAM and KAITHI. If u don't keep lokesh in mind and just watch the film , according to my opinion, this is the best commercial movie for Vijay after thuppakki. Lokesh has given us a well crafted commercial entertainer which has all the elements in right balance, which most of the directors fail to do , with a huge star cast.

@@JunaidKhan-ft7gb I've seen a lot. Open pannaa review is extreme spoiler. Filmi craft review was a good one, but every reviews approached it by comparing it to previous works of Lokesh kanagaraj. Which is not so ideal imo. Prasanth handled it in a better manner. According to me, this movie resonates with u the way u go to it. If u have hype of kaithi, this would seem like a bad movie. If u went in expecting a vijay movie , this is a surprise. If u went in fresh, this is a 7/10 good movie.

This review is extremely accurate! I’ve been waiting for this movie for such a long time! I’m a fan of cinema and after watching kaithi last year, Lokesh became one of my favorite directors. I came out of the movie today, and was feeling like something was left out. It didn’t feel like a Lokesh movie. However, he is only 2 movies old and like he said in interviews, he couldn’t have experimented with such a big actor like Vijay. Maybe if he had experimented, it would’ve turned out differently? I don’t know. For example, Andrea is such a powerful actress, what was the point of her? What was the point of Malavika? Why couldn’t they be the same person? As part of the audience, this is what came to my mind. However, this movie should be celebrated, because of the effort the team and has put in! Keep striking harder Lokesh Kanagaraj!

Vijay didn't even act like a professor for 1 minute come on. He is living in his own world. From start to finish just build up without actually doing anything. 🤣
And I almost got heart attack when the villains was suddenly going in the lorry and boom Vijay and Andrea came to attack 10 lorries with just a bow and arrow, this is 2021 what a shit scene was that. Maybe a 15 year old kid could have thought better.

The reason is managaram and kathi is a film setup in one day&night... But master is different from other two films, it is about the life and clash of two characters. The screenplay needs some time to build in.. Every film is a different genre and it can't be a racy one....only thing is it should be interesting. In that case, master is interesting.
