This video taught me that I too have strong frog opinions. I think the biggest thing about frogs for me that went unmentioned in this video is the propensity towards Just Kinda Sitting There. Like. Frogs don't do anything. They spend like 98.99% of their life squattin'. That's about it. They do the mlem thing to eat stuff, but that's like a brief flash of tongue and then they resume Just Squattin' except now they have a bug in their mouth. I noticed I had an affinity for extremely simple textboxes; Jump-like effects and reach because tongue are valuable but I think I actually put a lot of stock personally in a vanilla frog that don't do jack, because he doesn't owe you anything. It is for this reason I personally think I would have placed Plaxcaster Frogling at the absolute top of this list, minimum top 3, because it maintains the position of Just Squattin' while also projecting insane amounts of power into the world with that laser beam. It does not sacrifice its Fat Fuck Energy in the slightest despite clearly being able to kill god with a thought. Probably the biggest point of contention I have with the list as a whole, personally. I will say though, strongly agree with the number 1 spot. Platonic ideal frog that doesn't do anything, except it can theoretically do Anything, and it will do so while looking like That. Chef's kiss. Beautiful. Idealized.
Hey man, idk if you’re still reading comments, but I just wanted to say that I watched your Endless Ocean play through years ago as a kid and your facts and stories in that series really got me interested in ocean life. I’m now 22 and will be starting college soon and will eventually start their AA for Marine Biology. Stay cool.
I can confirM: This is the most important science that anyone can do in the 21st century. EDIT for my D&D dorkness: Slaad are Chaotic Neutral. They're terrible at it. I'd argue they were good in 4E where their whole shtick was eating reality to return it to the primordial chaos before ordering. Also the more powerful Slaad don't appear like frogs, but like, weird stuff. They made a pool to curse/gift other Slaadi to be frog-like. Despite this, they are not good at jumping. The slaadi lords are boring as hell. i don't give a damn about some winged skeleton, Ygorl, gimme that frog lord. (Now, the better frog guys are the Grippli who are the jumpy frogs, the Grung who are poison frogs, and the bullywugs who are toads) Also, the Froghemoth is technically an alien. Its from Barrier Peaks originally, the module of "Aliens crashed a spaceship and stuff is coming out of it, loot everything"
wonder if it might make sense to make a separate scientific ranking on the simic hybrids and then retire them from their respective animal lists, since they don't fit properly in any of them
Thank you for the vid, watched it a couple of times. Tho there were some parts I disagreed, I enjoyed it so much. I wonder whether you're going to update the ranking after Bloomburrow release?
I feel Frogkin Kidnapper is a missed opportunity to combine "frog" and "rogue" into "frogue". Edit: also; the Croaking Counterpart frog can copy Emrakul, the Aeons Torn with the help of Ersatz Gnomes, Moonlace, or Mycosynth Lattice; of these, only Moonlace is legal in Modern.
This video is gitrog slander and I will not stand for it. You will bow down before your frog master and give him the respect (and flesh) that he deserves.
ok i STRONGLY dislike their frog ranking conventions. wreched anurid belongs at the absolute bottom of that list. forever, FOREVER. and sporefrog is better than leapfrog
Immediately clicked on this one. Glad to have this series back
Same

fastest click I could possibly give a video
Edit: If Uurg's name comes from incrementing the first letter, that implies there was a Burg out there.

I gasped seeing this pop up in my recs
Absolutely love these videos! So very excited to see them come back!
Hell yeah, welcome back!
Woohooo! I've never been so excited to see a video in my sub feed :D
Love the video lads, generally like frogs in card games and you guys killed this one 😂 😂😂😂❤
1:49:53 is especially fitting because Fauna Shaman has a high quality frog of her own in her art.
Yes! Finally! Love this series!
we needed this
If gitrog or Yargle isn't at the top of this list, I riot.
Frogmite and Spore Frog are also two personal favs.
THE FUCKING CROAKING COUNTERPART TOKEN?!? Holy shit, Zorak.
I don't usually watch your magic videos but this is too enticing to pass up
love this series
WOOOO ANOTHER MAGIC RANKING YES
I wasn't aware of the Croaking Counterpart Token, and now it existing is my number one wish in all of magic
THE RETURN OF THE KING
looking forward to seeing a lil guy who says bep as well as a variety of fascinating artwork of people being told "draw a frog."
Woooooooo yeah baby

The best event of 2023!
Anurid Scavenger's skin is very much vietnamese mossy frog, its an excellent frog skin, how dare.
Skull tier list when
We've got two new frogs in mom
Hell Yeah important Frog Science
One day i hope you guys rank all of the zakus.
I regret to inform you that slaads are only decent at jumping.
Thank you for this highly scientific video.
This could mean real advances in the scientific field of science
From my own notes in 5e, it appears that Slaads would make exceptional jumpers due to having 20 str (At least, the gray/death ones.)
I feel Frogkin Kidnapper is a missed opportunity to combine "frog" and "rogue" into "frogue".

Finally science is back 😁🙌🧑🔬

That's just a viashino. That's all I see.
If you didn't post this on the reddit, you might want to because I desperately want this to get the views it deserves
Fr-frogs.
Frog gang go 😅
Jade Avenger should have won. Tragedy.
Froggy
Bro where are you
This video is gitrog slander and I will not stand for it. You will bow down before your frog master and give him the respect (and flesh) that he deserves.
yugioh has better frogs....infact that's a really fun video idea compare and contrast the same archetypes in magic vs yugioh
