Four generations in one garage... nothing cooler than that. By far the most wholesome car channel on UA-cam.
Pretty special 🥹
I was telling my wife the same thing. How awesome is that!
Came here to say this. 😊
Thanks for the kind comments 💚
Your mom is so beautiful and when she smiles the whole outdoors get brighter. Loved seeing all the generations together.
I get excited whenever your Mom is on. She's one beautiful lady!
Your momma is the epitome of the old school generation, heck with this ppe stuff. I'd rather breathe dust! Haha I love her so much.....i really needed this today....shew....
🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️♥️
It is no mystery how Emily came out so beautiful and giving..Cathy Jo..you did a Great Job with Em !!!
Cathy Jo!! 🤣🤣🤣
And just looking at the family, she is going to live forever. Her grandparents are great love having her whole family dropping in on the video for some lite conversations. Be nice to meet Arons people if possible.
Being on a tight budget is something many can relate too. Innovation and skill allow you to make something you want. Also wonderful to see this car back on the road, being cared for. And making you mom smile that big smile.
You're mom is such a sweetheart. She is adorable. Such a lovely woman. Getting more family, hands-on in the car hobby is awesome!
Aaron's project, totally how I had to fix my 70 camaro in high school in the 90s. Nobody even made a patch panel for them back then. I asked my dad what we could do. He handed me an old Peterson "How to, Autobodyrepair" book, and in one Saturday I had three rust holes filled and patched up with fiberglass and foam. It lasted for about for 4 years until I got rid of it.
I really love seeing all the generations of your beautiful family stopping by. What a great support system .
Bet the new owner loved you.....
Thanks for the heater Aaron! I did it for the car not you: same type of banter I had with my mother-in-law!! Always had great fun.
You are all an awesome family!!!
Thanks to Emily and Aaron (Cathy too!) for providing some real down to earth content that is both entertaining and good for the soul...may you be blessed!
Oh my Goodness ! You are "model With Blank Check!" but Your mom , W o w !!! What a complement to Beauty in the Fashion World!!! I love Flying Sparks!! We're all Your Cheerleaders!!! And to think ... it all started with a BOAT you decided to rescue and LOVE ... AFTER CLETUS your channel REALLY GOT STELLAR !!!!
A Top tip when spraying wheels without removing the tyres. Get a couple of packs of playing cards and you can slot them in between the rim and the tyre overlapping them as you go then mask up against the playing cards, its miles quicker than trying to mask up tight to the rim and you will get zero overspray on the tyres, with masking tape you will always get some overspray on the tyres.
What you did is kept another old classic on the road and away from the crusher. The methods you used don't matter.
Great job you guys!! It looks great! Enjoy and be safe!
How cool to have the Grand Parents on! I learned from Grand Pa, work smart not hard! At a very early age he showed me how to blow the grass clippings off of the side walk with the mower so I wouldn't have to sweep it later. Since then I've always looked for the easy way to do things right!
Three generations sitting in the garage having fun, what a trip! I thought my mom was cool, but your mom is way cooler 😎
I did the same thing on my Triumph Spitfire on the passenger side that you can see in my video's!! It was as bad as the drivers side so I am replacing the whole out rocker sill as we speck. Love seeing mom in the garage and she looks like she's having a great time! Need to put the MG badge's back on and get the side badge's that say Midget. Looking great guys!
It is so fun to see the "mom and daughter" gestures and bigger than life smiles ! Love to hear Mom say "that was fun" Great job ya'all
@ClickOnMyProfile77 sounds good to me!
British racing green over foam rust repair, Jest amazed at what you can drive on the roads, could not do that here in the U.K.
😂😂😂 coffee has more caffeine than tea
You all are so inspirational. Love your content, the family interaction, the atmosphere and format of your videos. Makes for an enjoyable, relaxing, with laughs throughout, hour + of screen time. No longer do I watch TV shows, it's all UA-cam and a bit of Disney+, ChillTV, Prime splashed about.
Keep up the great content, thank you, and God bless.
Sure do appreciate that!!!!
I am in love with Kathy shes my age and i would buy 100 hats just to take a ride in that green machine . Foam and glass reeves is a genius !
I did the same trick with the foam on an old Mazda B2000 pickup truck when I lived in Florida, it kept the water out below the windshield and kept the water out of the cab when it rained. Between the foam and some thin flashing sheet metal, it extended the life of the truck for many years.
My mom passed away a couple months ago. For whatever reason this episode hit me right in the dang feelers.
Your mom is beautiful soul.
Thankyou for sharing your family making memories. That’s exactly how cars should be used.
Great episode, nice seeing Mom into this as well. You can put Clearcoat on over single stage paint. wet sand 400. wet coat 65psi. will help it lay down.
For a project like those rims you should get a cheap sand blaster from Harbor Freight, and a 50lb bag of play sand from Home Depot.
I have a 1974 midget it has 19000 miles from new British racing green, using it for my daughters wedding in may in Ireland 🇮🇪
Lily, "little kid" is adorable just like her big sister.
the smile on that ladies face is priceless !
Now I know where you get your good looks from... Your mom.... Back in the 90's I used that spray foam on a suv... Looks good... Enjoyed!
You made your Grandpa buy a hat, should have been a gift, lol.
This is a family full of small businesses owners, we would have gladly given him a hat but he is one of those men that believes in supporting those who are working hard. It’s a principle thing for him. -Aaron
Moss Motors is your friend for this car!
They’ve gotten a lot of our money 🤣 that was the catalog mom had!
its soo nice to see how excited your Mom is about her little car . her smile makes that car priceless . great job . she will love it all summer
what a Great Everyday Family Project! We don't all do quality restorations. And You are just celebrating the fact that real life results come from doing what You Can Do with What You Have.
Totally enjoyed the revamp on your mom's car. The two of you are very entertaining and funny. I can't wait to see the final product. Mom, this is for you❤!
Pretty little car! Mom look’s happy! Good job!
I love That your family is there. And that all three daughters had MG's. I have a 1970 Spitfire in my garage. I am looking forward to getting it road worthy myself. Thanks again for a awesome video.
Well done, moms smilling and happy. Worth it. Thanks for sharing 👍
That is so cool!
The little MG is looking great!
So awesome seeing Momma as giddy as a school girl! She is such a sweet beautiful lady!
Well done guys!
Great project!!! Also, helpful hint, if you like, slide 3”x 5” index cards between the rim and tire. Works great for painting the wheels. Stickers in the bead better than tape. Used this process many times. Good luck
It's coming along great! I'm originally from the east coast and you wouldn't believe what people will use for fillers on panels. Aaron for a temporary fix it looks good dude. Love and hugs from Waco. 😁
Heyyy Ricky! I once found a patch of LEATHER and bondo on a minivan I was disassembling for a race in Michigan 😂
@@adrianberryhillI found a pair of socks once but by far the weirdest thing was an adult magazine stuffed into a front fender well!😮
Maybe it once belonged to Hue Hefner 😂@@rickydonahue1586
your mama is so excited
What an amazing family weekend y'all captured on video! You are blessed to have all those generations in one garage, good job gang.
Awww Lucas never gets any love . Lucas electronics aren't that bad once you get your head around it. Love your mom's Midget!
Damn y’all knocked it out of the park. Now it’s not an MG. It’s a OMG!!!!!
Your Mom is really Pretty! Can see where you get your good looks from 😉
Your momma is a natural in front of the camera. Keep up the great work. And i love yalls content. Much love to u guys from Maryland❤❤❤
Emily, Aaron & Mom, great Video and the car is looking great, good job.
Hey I once patched a rust hole with cardboard and metal foil tape. Then fiberglass/bondo over it. It lasted 5 years as a friends daily, sitting outside, before it became an issue again. Now I was 14 at the time, and we painted it with rattle can. It was a $900 car, with a $200 paint job. As long as you kept it polished it looked good, but it would oxidize quickly.
She looks like a little jewel. Up north we use a lot of spray foam and fiberglass to keep the old wrecks on the road for a couple more years. Especially on the Japanese and Korean cars, you can sit and listen to them rotting when they are a couple of years old or more.
This brings back memories of working on a friends MG in my garage in the 90's. I had to use the restroom and went in the house after getting it up on jack stands and removing tires so we could do the brake lines and wheel cylinders. On my way back I hear my friend let out this deep growl and a few colorful words. Thinking he had got hurt I run out to the garage to hear my friend still growling while bench pressing the entire rear end of the car on and off the jack stands in anger. Seems the line wrench had slipped off an already stripped flare nut causing him to slice the back of his hand open on some rusted sharp parts and that was his way of working out the pain.
Nice paint job, your moms car looks awesome
White Cleaning Vinegar will clean the lug nuts also. I used it on my 1977 MGB and it worked wonders.
Don’t take too long on the permanent repair, spray foam will hold water when it degrades and make your rust problem worse. You guys are still great in my book. Getting that sweet woman her car back on the road is the important part.
Now I can see where Emily gets her beauty from. Mama is just beautiful 😍
I love how you take care of your Mom. She looks like a great person. MGs are great!
I’m in salt road country. Have seen spray foam repairs plenty of time. Nothing wrong with your repair, in my opinion. So nice to see 4 generations together at your shop, working on the car. Nice lil buggy, fun video. Stay well all!
I think that it's pretty neat that 3 generations of the women of on family were working on the wheels at the same time.
Isn’t that so dang cool?!
cooles mom ever. loves you Cathy. Greatins from Norway
Pro-tip from a master of don't look too closely. When you use spray foam in bodywork cut down the hidden side as much as you can a then cover it with the short strand fiberglass puddy and give it a shot of paint ( just good enough to encapsulate it and it will keep out water) it's still not the proper way of doing it but it will last for years. I had a 89 F150 extended cab that had been smash on both sides of the extended parts and the bottom was completely rusted out, I mean you could put your fist through the holes. I used a slide hammer to pull the huge dents out, but no matter what I tried it would cave back in so my wife got something like 8 cans of triple expanding foam and then taped aluminum foil along the bottom and then completely filled the panels with the foam. This kept the dents from collapsing and gave me a way to shape the bottom panels and as a bonus it made the cab so quiet.
Mom's smile is priceless. She is a hoot y'all.
Seeing you hanging out with your grandpa kinda got me teary eyed wishing to do that with mine.Oh well that is life!
I like to use gemplers rust converter. It also acts as a primer. And fix mom's gas gauge!!
I love watching your show. Your mom is so funny!
Sweet. Emily you are a perfect clone of your mom. Beauty, personality, even voice. Amazing!
I’m so glad you’re doing those wheels correctly! I’ve seen them silver, I’ve seen them black but not painted back to a proper Rostyle pattern
Cant wait to see this finished and its much deserved for momma. shes so cute plain to see where Ems gets her looks from ......... nicely done
Check out those wheel nuts Mom did bc she pulled the socket away before the nuts fully tightened. Good job. I remember doing body work back in the eary 70’s when a welder wasn’t available. I loved the smell of body filler as well and airplane glue but wasn’t stupid to sniff the glue and get high as some kids did.
my second car ..about 1968 was a 61 Austin Healy Sprite..
the same body as your mom's car, but mine dint have roll up windows..A very fun car, my girl friend at the time still has fond memories of it we are FB friends now...56 year old memories 😊
It's cool to see your mom working on her car great job guys can't wait for the next episode.
The only thing I would have done differently would have been to use black primer it would have made the green darker. But she looks awesome. Really have been loving the "VIDI YUZ" LOL 😁
Great Work!... Emily Family, and good for the beauty Mom`s car 👋😀👌
I've done it and VGG highly approves spray foam. it's better to have fun with things than letting it rot in the backyard
Another great vid love watching you guys and your family reminds me of how my wife and i was i built all kinds of kustom cars and we had big plans. But she is still in australia and our dreams dont look good any more
thanks again for posting your vids it puts a smile on my face🙂
What a transformation!!!!! Lookin' good. I think Aaron's next major "tool" purchase needs to be a portable/inflatable paint booth. Enjoy the process.😊
I have to say I’m watching and I’m cracking myself up!! Trying to wear that breathing (if that’s what you want to call it )gear🤣
😅
The MG looks nice, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen anyone use spray foam like that Aaron !!! Nice to have an actual video instead of 10 shorts
We still average a video a week! UA-cam just really wants creators to post shorts!! So we’ve been popping those on!
We prefer the actual episodes too 🥰
I think it's so cool how your mom helped do her car you guys are awesome love watching you
spray is a thing on quick down and dirty get it done body work. Open cell foam collects moister so most DIY ers buy closed cell foam and some even use dry wall screen. I enjoy hanging out you all. If you use a British accent while working on the car it will run better.
Had a '74 Teal Blue 'B' with a tan interior. I installed fender mounted mirrors and a luggage rack on the 'bonnet'; Koni shocks and I converted from twin 6 volt batteries to one 12 volt battery. Called her the Li'l Blue Bugger!
Right around the 57 minute mark with Aaron painting the car in an old garage gives me Days of Thunder vibes when they are building Cole Trickle's car in a barn haha - so rad!
I like watching your videos. You have a solution for every problem and are always in a good mood. The MG looks great. Greetings from Germany....Klaus
Looks fine. Garage paint jobs are always a bit of a challenge. Good job!
You two Ladies are a treat to us Old Car Guys. Great work.
Looking forward to the next video.....learning so much ....watching you paint this car.
Making life long memory's, Awesome. Starting a new generation off right.😁👍👍
Awesome video. Car looks immaculate
Great job, it looks so much better!
Can wait to the nexts video. And the car looks very good.
Love your channel very machs.
Greeting from Belgium and my Georges.
You right, Mom is cute! I saw the finished and glad to have seen this one.
Nice quickie project! Interesting shortcuts that brought great looking results.
Just me for my experience on garage painting at home is painted the coolest part of the day the cold will always promote better paint flow and of course watch what reducer and Catalyst promoter you use. At home my guess is just use the slowest promoter
TIP, you can use 3x5 index cards instead of painters tape to paint the wheels. Just slide the cards between the wheel and tire in a circle
Don't worry about the texture, it looks like a lime!!!
As always, great content guys. The little car looks amazing.
I have 1 rule when it comes to rust and metal work, use what you have that's good enough. you will be replacing them anyway. As a British man and a sprayer, I have used British Racing Green paint and yes it is great but I really like the metallic green paint you have sprayed on that car. Love y'all. ❤ 👍👍👍👍👍 ps we missed the kid in this weeks episode
Finley's a miniature Irish wolfhound 😅
Dang yall have done a fine job on that little car, well done
I never had any issues with Lucas electrics, but Italian electrics on a mc then that's a whole different ballgame.
Finally making the mother-in-law happy after all these years 😂
on the fibreglass you and use wax paper to smooth it out and it will not stick to fiberglass . i watch Derick vicegrip when her did f150 paint job the painter use on final coat with clear coat it real shined . check it out ask Derick how they did it. the paint was single stagged paint.
The coolest mom...And such beautiful smile and eyes...😘
