0:15 - I had a friend who was born the day Elvis died. His dad was a fan, and used to tease my friend that Elvis’ soul was in his kid’s body.
This special is never going to be released on home video because Elvis’ estate refuses to market footage of Elvis in his “fat” period
I saw this plus his 1977 tv concerts. I was only 5. Long live the King.
Just before I was born, but has much of the same feel as early 80s. Love these!

Frigidaire Washing Machine- I always find it fun to watch the clothes moving around in the washing machine like the ones in this commercial.
Philips’ Milk Of Magnesia- With a bottle as huge as the one in this commercial, the manufacturer must expect consumers to drink it as if it were water.
Kool-Aid- I like how very plainly designed the sugar container looks in this commercial, especially at 4:03.
5:37 - My fiancée and I are hoping to adopt a cat. Almost did a couple weeks ago, but it got claimed by someone else by the time we had discussed it. Wish the “cat distribution service” would show up and drop a cat into our lives.
11:58 - Andy Griffith missed his calling as a rapper.

Last night, I was watching Hart to Hart and Max wore an apron that said "I can't hack it without my food processor," and these commercials are a few years older than that show but close enough it is interesting there's a food processor commercial in this video. It would be fun to see a late 70s/early 80s food processor cookbook, some vintage cookbooks are great, maybe they can publish a new one inspired by the style and recipes from this time
Loved the announcer butchering Waylon Jennings as ‘Whylon Jellings’ at 19:20.
The Tender Vittles kid was also the kid in the Mean Joe Greene Coke commercial. That's perpetual To Tell The Truth panelist Peggy Cass pushing Cat Chow.
Wow the "my first phone" bell commercial with that mickey mouse phone. Yesterday I watched a video of someone reviewing the tiaras bayou adventure ride at Disney and he saw a payphone and was so surprised ("when was the last time I saw one of those? I must be getting old!"). Maybe landlines style phones are making a comeback now
Go to any major airport and there are still tons of payphones. They're actually still in a lot of places, but many people ignore them because they have no use for them.
