They HAVE to be experienced live. The video does them no justice. The pure energy that pours off stage is amazing. Seen them twice and each time is just incredible. If they come your way, make every effort to go. Won't disappoint.
Also, you need to keep in mind, Babymetal has been around for over 10 years. And this was one of the earliest performances and songs. They grew up and tried so many new styles, it's incredible. And the amount of collaborations! They are very well known, loved and supported by so many big names in metal music.
LOL Definitely a valid reaction to BABYMETAL! Think that's how a lot of us reacted when we first heard them. It's great to hear music / metal from other countries. Especially when their culture comes through!
I remember from an interview that they had that mashup of Jpop and Metal because they wanted metal to appeal to the average young girl or something like that. They said in that interview that it makes them smile when they see girls up front in the crowd and rocking out, copying their movements, and singing along. But there's not just Jpop really. In their discography, there's a lot of different styles incorporated into their music.
A friend sent me a link to Babymetal years ago. I was confused on first hearing, but have been listening to them since. Was surprised at how easy I was hooked.
Welcome to the Foxhole 🦊🤘 Your face is priceless, dance and metal had never been seen before and they somehow managed to make it works creating their unique own genre called kawaii-metal, mixing Jpop and heavy metal along with many more sub genres and rhythm that you'll have so much fun going through this journey. However this isn't actually live version, is studio album version over a live performance which was partially live only on the vocals and choreography with backing track band. They have their own band called Kami Band introduced later on that same show and after that Kami Band become regular at live performance. SuMetal (lead vocals) MoaMetal and YuiMetal (former member since 2018) on scream and dance roll started in 2010 when they had 11 and 12 years old. This was in December 2013 at SuMetal 16th Birthday and there was a big party there you haven't seen nothing yet. I would love more of your reaction to BabyMetal live performance, just beware of copyright blocked on official MV and live clips after 2014. You have songs like _Catch Me If You Can_ live at Budokan 2014 or Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at this same live performance at Legend 1997 at Makuhari Messe Japan when SuMetal is celebrating her birthday becoming a metal goddess queen and leaving her idol jpop form. More than 50+ songs will get you hooked with them, just wait for Kami Band, even more awesome. See you! 🦊🤘
Wait until you see ROAD OF RESISTANCE. It will be life changing. !! Please react soon!! Best version *BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)*
I’m sure someone said it, but this is the studio version played over a live performance that they used for the MV. They’re actually much better live than in studio
Great reaction ! Especially because you recognized some of the talent/qualities of Babymetal already. Most people just go WTF and leave it at that. "What made them come up with that idea ?" A producer in Japan who used to work with bands, because less interest in bands in Japan, was asked to work in the kids department and his instinct was to look for talent and he noticed one girl who had an amazing talent for singing and performing and he thought... maybe, just maybe I can try a metal project with her. It's a crazy idea, he wasn't sure it would work (she was 12 and the other 2 were 11) and the company they worked for didn't put any funding behind it, but they let him try it as part of a bigger project... thus Babymetal came to be. But that's just a very small part of the story of Babymetal... While this was a MV based on a live performance the audio is from the album. If you want a good live performance of Gimme Chocolate The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. But more important is to see them live for an other song, for example: BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance RSR Fes 2016「BS Fuji HD 最高音質」 That video title is from a festival so no editing/fix ups on the sound. You can also do the official live video, which probably does have some tweaks on the sound. It also gets more easily blocked (Japanese music industry has a different opinion than the west, reason being they still sell a lot more physical media). When it comes to performance the official one is more impressive. Only one group really tried to follow the success if Babymetal: Lady Baby. They failed in lots of different ways but their current follow up group is Baby Beard. And if you are not familiar with Japanese rock/metal or non-western/Asian in general then their are a whole bunch we can recommend as well.
Hell yeah more Babymetal! 🤘🏻😄 This is one of the groups I’ve been waiting for you to react to. Glad you finally did! They’ve been around 10 years now (Su-Metal and Moa-Metal at least. Yui-Metal left in 2018 for health reasons also one of their guitarists Mikio Fujioka died that year). They played all over the world with Metallica, Rob Zombie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest, Korn, Lady Gaga and many others. They even headlined their own concert at Wembley Stadium in 2016. You must have heard of them before if you’re into heavy metal. At first people couldn’t take them seriously saying that they weren’t really metal but they eventually won many people over. I recommend checking out Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!, Megitsune, Karate, Road of Resistance and Shanti Shanti. Also their live version of BABYMETAL DEATH FROM LIVE ~ LEGEND 1999 & 1997. It gives me the chills watching it! 😄 If you love Babymetal then you have to check out all the female rock bands Japan has to offer! Band-Maid, Lovebites, Aldious, Mary’s Blood and Nemophila to name a few! These groups all play their own instruments and are amazingly talented.
YES, Band Maid! So excited to see they're coming to Philly later this year. And, let's not forget Unlucky Morpheus. Check out Quadratum doing Eruption on the violin. Mind blowing.
Great reaction, liked it a lot. Here are some fun facts. 1. BabyMetal and Black Pink are the only two girl groups to end up in the top 10 on BillBoard's World Album chart 2. BabyMetal is the only Asian group to ever hit #1 on Billboards Top Rock Album chart 3. Lars Ulrich of Metallica took his wife to a BabyMetal concert so that in his words "she could see the awesomeness of BabyMetal" 4. Cory Taylor of Slipknot was asked who he listened to at home and he said "BabyMetal" 5. They performed Gimme Chocolate with The Red Hot Chili Peppers 6. They performed Gimme Chocolate with Dragon Force 7. Brien Welch of Korn got on stage to perform Gimme Chocolate with them. 8. They performed the Judas Priest classics Pain Killer and Breaking the Law with Rob Halford of Judas Priest 9. Two of their songs GImme Chocolate and Road of Resistance have been named as the one of the most important metal songs of the last 10 years 10.The three girls, Su Metal, MoaMetal and YuiMetal were named in the list of Women Who Have Changed The Face of Metal In the Last 20 Years
Great list but Black Pink did have the advantage of being mainstream and Kpop which is huge there music is played on all mainstream platforms but even then still a great achievement by Black Pink 🤘🦊.
You finally found a fox hole. The hole is deeper than you think. If you fall into a hole, you won't be able to get out, but don't worry, because we're already in the depths of the hole and we're so happy lol. I looking forward to it.
Just wait til you watch them crucify the lead singer on stage ☺️ most metal thing I have ever seen. I fell in love first time I heard them on my channel as well
Great reaction! I'm sure you're gonna like your Babymetal journey a lot. And here are some recommendations for your following BM reactions (best Babymetal is live Babymetal): Headbanger (Live 2013 at 'Legend 1997'): ua-cam.com/video/QEsOaMbNFww/v-deo.html Catch Me If You Can (Live 2014 at Budokan): ua-cam.com/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/v-deo.html Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Live 2014 at Sonisphere, UK): ua-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/v-deo.html Karate (Live 2016 at Download, UK): ua-cam.com/video/qXF94RGYEmw/v-deo.html Mischiefs of Metal Gods [instr.] + Rondo of Nightmare (Live 2014 at Budokan): ua-cam.com/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/v-deo.html I guess it's enough to begin with, have fun! 🤘🦊
I hope your video dont get blocked, theyr company (Amuse inc) is so heavy with the blocks and strikes, i recommend you to dont react to videos of their official channel (live babymetal videos are the bests) or use a watermark
Babymetal are my favourite band in the world, and i've been a fan of them since i was 12 so i can say this with confidence - they sound even better live. this was the studio recording of gimme chocolate! but if you do more videos i recommend finding live versions of songs - I recommend Megitsune, Headbanger, Karate and Distortion! all of their songs are absolutely fantastic though, and even though they turn 12 years old this year i don't remember a single time Su-Metal has messed up a line or failed her cue!!
02:19 that look is priceless You said you're into metal music so I recommend you react to Rondo of Nightmare Live at Budokan. You won't be disappointed.
This song was my first introduction to them to. For the first 2 minutes I was like "huh??" By the time the song was over I was already doing a deep dive on pirate bay looking for every live show I could find. As for recommendations, this is part of my play list for when I'm in the car: Headbanger Papaya Oh manjni Karate Megitsune (the last one is great for doing about 85 mph on the interstate)
Here are some songs to check out among the many they have done. Headbanger ua-cam.com/video/YjjWZpf_jSs/v-deo.html Road of Resistance ua-cam.com/video/zTEYUFgLveY/v-deo.html Pa Pa Ya ua-cam.com/video/oO7Y8NsnkRg/v-deo.html Syncopation ua-cam.com/video/uZ11JUZM8V0/v-deo.html Ijime,Dame,Zettai ua-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/v-deo.html BxMxC ua-cam.com/video/ng8mh6JUIqY/v-deo.html Rondo of Nightmare (mischief of god intro live) ua-cam.com/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/v-deo.html Onedari Daisakusen (Black Babymetal) ua-cam.com/video/1dT1ywYR5So/v-deo.html Sis Anger (Black Babymetal) ua-cam.com/video/BZLZcoWZKN0/v-deo.html Megitsune ua-cam.com/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/v-deo.html There are many more that you can choose from, and I am sure someone here has already let you know that it always best to watch their live performances. Welcome to the Foxhole. #notacult
Such a dangerous first reaction. Even Su knows that this song can be divisive. You showed the appropriate reaction to Babymetal: Smiles and laughter. Have fun on your journey into the Foxhole.
For sure you gotta check out Karate, Headbanger and Megitsune + Akatsuki (Karate check out the normal video, Headbanger from the Legend 1997 show and Megitsune + Akatsuki from Budokan live show)!
Be prepared. The kitsunes are going to descend upon you with recommendations and knowledge. Read it all. Absorb it. There will be tests. Legend 1997 was a celebration of Su-metal's 16th birthday. Su-metal (Nakamoto Suzuka) is the lead singer. The other members are Moametal and Yuimetal. Don't worry about which is which yet. You'll figure it out as you progress. But so you know: 02:18 is Moa 02:21 is Yui 02:30 Yui is on the left, Moa is on the right. Gimme Chocolate deals with desires and inhibitions and consequences. They WANT chocolate, but they worry about their weight. Really. Du-metal has an early BABYMETAL translation blog. The opening of the song goes like: [[Give me chocolate!]] [[Give me!]] [[Give me!]] Atatata taata taatatata zukkyun. Watatata taata taatatata dokkyun. Zukkyun. Dokkyun. Zukkyun. Dokkyun. I won't, won't, won't, won't. Never. Never. Never. Check-it-out chocolate. Can I have a bit of chocolate? But my weight worries me a bit these days. However, chocolate! Can I have a bit of chocolate? But wait a while! Wait a while! Wait! Wait! Wait! So this is what is being discussed over those sick grinding chords.
it's called babymetal...because they created a new style...kawaii metal....everyone smiles when they see YUI... she is the most adorable girl that exists in life
These girls are AWESOME. They've opened for Guns n Roses and Metalica. They played at Glastonbury and best of all they were asked to play at Donnington's Monsters of Rock festival and ALL the Metalheads were completely against them.... they smashed it and sold more merchandise in a single day than ANY band in the history of the festival.
Only advice I have with BabyMetal is to try and not to look into Su Metal's eyes. The next thing you know, you snap out of her spell, hours went by, you missed dinner, and the birds are singing and your socks are missing.
I just discovered Babymetal a few days ago. And I must say that you and I shared the same facial expression when watching this! My first song was… Catch me if you can… or something like that
Hi and welcome to the wonderful Babymetal Galaxy. Great reaction. Babymetal is a japanese kawaii metal-band ”cute metal” and is heavy metal with J-pop aesthetics. The name is a pun to heavy metal Babymetal - Bebimetaru ベビメタル Heavy Metal - Hebimetaru ヘビメタル And is not about the girls age even though they started as preteens but is about giving a birth to a new genre Kawaii metal. The girls are Suzuka ”Su-metal” Nakamoto (born 20 Dec 1997) Moa ”Moametal” Kikuchi (born 4 July 1999) and Yui ”Yuimetal” Mizuno (born 20 June 1999) Yui left the BM 2018 due to undisclosed health issues. They started 2010 as a sub-unit to Sakura Gakuin (school-themed J-pop group for girls between 10-15) and became their own entity 2013. Key ”Koba-metal” Kobayashi got the idea when he saw a 10-year-old Suzuka on stage and heard her strong voice and saw her great stage presence and thought that her voice would not drown in heavy music. They have since then become one of the biggest japanese bands to succeed internationally and they have collaborated with Dragonforce, Corey Taylor and Bring Me The Horizon and singers like Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy) and Joakim Brodén (Sabaton) are featuring on a couple of songs. Their big breakthrough overseas came 2014 at Sonisphere UK when they performed for 50000-60000 metalheads of which the majority hadn't even heard of them. They have nearly 50 songs of which not one of them is like the other. /yon-metal
Road of Resistance, Karate (MV), Pa Pa Ya, Headbanger (Live), and Death (Legend 1997) is pretty much the tour-de-force for Babymetal reaction vids. You'll see them do every type of metal you can imagine: Speed, Thrash, Death, Rap. Also, when you get a chance check out Ningen Isu Heartless Scat. And yes. Su-Metal's voice is amazing. Karate (MV) is probably the best example.
You're in for a ride. Check out Karate and Megitsune MVs and the live performances of Road of Resistance - Live in Japan and Rondo of Nightmare Live @ Budokan Black Night.
As a metalhead myself, I had a similar reaction to yours. Mine was "What the hell did I just watch? I don't know how to feel about this." And then I was hooked lol
Really enjoyed the beginning to your Nightwish journey and now my favourite other band Babymetal - they were the last band I saw live pre covid at Hammersmith! One word of advice - they are VERY strong on copyright - which have led to many blocks on other reaction channels! They are wonderful - I'm 54 and have seen most bands live from AC-DC to ZZ Top. Check out 'Rondo of Nightmare' with the 'Mischief of Metal Gods intro by the Kami Band which will blow your mind! 'Akatsuki' too - plus 'No Rain no Rainbow' which is another Su Metal solo number but it's very emotional. Great content, glad 8 found you - take care of yourself 😃 😊
@@foxgodrecords2752 😆 🤣 😂 too many to name - I was very tired when writing my reply 😴 it was about 3 am! I absolutely adore Moa and Yui too I assure you 😆. I'm quite certain there isn't 1 song I dislike in their whole catalogue although one song I love that hardly ever gets reacted to is 'Night Night Burn' ,which I really should've recommended, purely because not many people do. Most people want the most popular Megitsune, ROR, Karate but never Night Night Burn 🔥 😜 😎 👌
@@thecarloschp4784 totally was, wasn't it! Only an hour long which was the only down side for me - but ultimately one of the best hours I've spent in Hammersmith Appollo for 40 years!!
I've been to their live show, a mini one, not really a full scale, but the atmosphere is absolutely stupendous! 10/10 would like to attend a full scale concert.
That's the official video of the song "Gimme Chocolate" as you could notice you can hear singing or screams of the public you should listen to the real live version, because this is the studio version look for the live version
Thank you for finally getting to BABYMETAL, as you can see from my name and symbol they are my absolute favorite band! This song was pretty much a hook song that went viral and does not really show the true talent of the actual musicians and three girls, now two officially, that are involved! Please check out more, I would suggest Road of resistance, Headbanger or Akatsuki! Absolutely dig your reactions and subscribed a while back!🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼🦊
The lead vocalist is Su-Metal⚡. The two girls on dance/backing vocals are Moa-Metal❤ and Yui-Metal💀. They have all been performing from very young ages and are immensely talented. I used to think I knew what the peak of metal music was prior to discovering them, but now I think they might be the best metal group out right now. The production quality in their live shows is out of this world! Every song from this band is a unique experience. Folk metal, ska metal, black metal, power metal, etc. You name it, they've probably done a song in that style. Their genre is known as "kawaii metal," which they pioneered. A fusion of J-pop and metal! Who would have known it would work so well? 🤘
It almost certainly would not have worked if it wasn't for the ferocious tallent of _all_ involved. Everyone who contributed to Babymetal was on top form. And although the 3 girls are amazing, this is a much bigger thing. And no worse off for it, oddly.
@@Varksterable So true! The kami band and the production team are absolutely amazing, the girls are incredible, the choreography is on point, the crowds have so much energy and passion. It all comes together to make BABYMETAL the gem they are!
Great reaction! Yes sir. BabyMetal is the real deal. Lead vocalist Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal stage name) is unparalleled in her vocal abilities. Metallica, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Sabaton, Guns and Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, Rob Zombie, Bring Me The Horizon and others respect and have either collaborated or performed with these young ladies. Their backup band (not the actors in skeleton costumes here pretending to play instruments to a backtrack ) The Kami Band -made up the Japans best session musicians are truly a thing to behold React to LIVE performances when possible as it is an experience. You are going to receive many requests for you to react to many songs but I would suggest starting out next with the LIVE performance I mention below. It will show you how LEGITIMATE they are and you can here Suzuka on all of her glory. BabyMetal and The Kami Band performing Karate LIVE at the 2016 Sonisphere Download Festival in the UK where 60,000 British metal heads sing along with the girls. Hope to see you again soon
The blank death stare of absolute confusion and then uncontrollable laughter pretty much sums up my first reaction to them too. Can't say I'm a fan but "are you not entertained"? =)
That was a really good reaction. The fact that your first reaction to Babymetal was Gimme Chocolate and it blew your mind, you're in for a continuous mind blowing experience with each song as you listen to them. Each song is different, so don't go all nuts and listen to all of them in one sitting. Enjoy and experience each song and your Babymetal journey will be a memorable one. I would also suggest you watch the video A Beginner's Guide to Babymetal. It will give you a really good look at the last 10 years of their career. Welcome to The One.
I don't know if anyone has said it below, but this was a concert celebrating Su-Metal's (the lead singer) 16th birthday. The sound on this video is the studio version over footage of the concert, but their concerts are off the chart too. It is also a concert that featured one of their cutesiest songs (Gimme Chocolate) and Su-Metal being crucified onstage in the same show.
You have to see more of them! They are totally amazing! So happy that ur checked them out. Maybe for later you can react to Pa Pa Ya. It’s such a banger damn ( ok all of their song tho ) headbanger is also a great one!
They are called Babymetal because this is a new genre of metal (according to the lore). The actual reason is that in Japanese, heavy metal and Babymetal rhyme, both sound and visually (ヘビーメタル = heavy metal, ベビーメタル). Can you see the difference? Welcome to the Foxhole.
Wonderful & genuine reaction , loved this! Here's a couple of suggestions,i probably wont be the only one suggesting these either! :0 1, Headbanger Live @ Legend 1997 Apocalypse 2, BABYMETAL DEATH - LIVE~LEGEND 1997 Both from the same concert as this 'Gimme-Chocolate' was performed!
I highly highly highly recommend you check out the live version of "Headbanger" from the "Legend of 1997" show. It was a concert celebrating Su-Metal's (the lead singer) 16th birthday. While they had an unusual start as a metal group, being put together after they got "too old" for other J-pop styles, they are the real deal, with a lot of respect from metal musicians. One fun thing, instead of the typical metal "devil horns", they hold their middle fingers and thumb together in a point. They have said that it represents the fox spirit that inhabits them when they perform. Cheers!
"Too old"? That's not how that happened or why. They were literally 12 (Suzuka) and 10 (Yui and Moa) when they joined Sakura Gakuin, starting Babymetal as a sub-group of Sakura Gakuin a few months later. Suzuka asked Kobayashi Kei (who became her manager when she joined SG) to find her something unique. Being a metalhead, Kobayashi created Babymetal around them because he felt Su's voice could cut through the guitars. They performed as Babymetal at SG's first show. It wasn't because they were 'too old' for J-Pop, they'd literally just started a new J-Pop group. It was because Suzuka was bored with regular J-Pop and her manager was a metalhead.
when you get a chance watch "A guide to Babymetal" it will give you the answers you seek, but yes their live performances are way better then their studio stuff, their crowd control is insane
Good evening. First of all welcome to the Babymetal universe. Currently, Babymetal is the most influential Japanese heavy metal group, capable of filling stadiums two nights in a row with more than 55,000 spectators at each concert. What you just saw and heard is simply a children's heavy metal song. The lead singer is just 16 years old (the day before) and the other two girls are 14 years old. Oh, and they're not a heavy metal group, they're a heavy metal idol group. That means they sing and dance. Forever. These girls started when they were 12 and 10 years old, when a sub-band called Babymetal was formed within a larger band called Sakura Gakuin. This group of idols (about 15 girls between 10 and 15 years old) essentially played jpop. However, one of the producers was a lover of heavy music and proposed, without even being clear, to mix jpop with heavy, so they created the subunit. The resulting genre was called Kawaii Metal and, against all odds (we all thought the first time this shouldn't work... but it does) it succeeded. Their first album called Babymetal is the album of a group of girls, aimed at girls between 10 and 15 years old. However, such was the success and its quality that it reached both the intended audience and the Japanese heavy community. And it was in 2014, already settled in Asia, that they made the leap to the West where they premiered at the Sonisphere festival in England (who said fear?) where they achieved worldwide recognition, although as usual many haters emerged. You have about 50 songs to discover their music. Some very childish, like this one, while others are more mature. But all of them, until the last one, are different and all metal.
This is just the tip of the iceberg, and this is the iceberg that sunk the titanic. Many video recommendations will come from that specific concert, and you have no idea how it ends. Don't rush, or you will fall! kitsune up! #notacult.
I may not be something I would put on the stereo when I'm home alone. But I would freaking love to be at one of their concerts 🤘😁🤘 Awesome vibes all the way 🙌
I never get tired watching people experience Babymetal for the first time! It never gets old! 😆🤘
They HAVE to be experienced live. The video does them no justice. The pure energy that pours off stage is amazing. Seen them twice and each time is just incredible. If they come your way, make every effort to go. Won't disappoint.

Agreed, I love them in general, but live is something special. Experienced this song myself life, the crowd went nuts.
I remember seeing them live at download uk in 2016 for the first time and I fell in love with them ever since
I've seen them live in Orlando back in 2019. One of the best concerts I have ever been to

I’m sure someone said it, but this is the studio version played over a live performance that they used for the MV. They’re actually much better live than in studio
Apparently to get fit they train for live concerts by running on a treadmill and singing through all the songs of their concert
Great reaction ! Especially because you recognized some of the talent/qualities of Babymetal already. Most people just go WTF and leave it at that.
"What made them come up with that idea ?"
A producer in Japan who used to work with bands, because less interest in bands in Japan, was asked to work in the kids department and his instinct was to look for talent and he noticed one girl who had an amazing talent for singing and performing and he thought... maybe, just maybe I can try a metal project with her. While this was a MV based on a live performance the audio is from the album. If you want a good live performance of Gimme Chocolate The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

That video title is from a festival so no editing/fix ups on the sound. You can also do the official live video, which probably does have some tweaks on the sound. It also gets more easily blocked (Japanese music industry has a different opinion than the west, reason being they still sell a lot more physical media). 😄
If you love Babymetal then you have to check out all the female rock bands Japan has to offer! Band-Maid, Lovebites, Aldious, Mary’s Blood and Nemophila to name a few! These groups all play their own instruments and are amazingly talented.
It was Wembley Arena rather than the stadium - not quite as huge but still a very significant achievement.
Oh thanks! I didn’t know there was two.
@@greggpirazzini2536 Yeah, they're sort of next to each other but where the stadium holds about 90k people the arena holds 12.5k.
YES, Band Maid! So excited to see they're coming to Philly later this year. And, let's not forget Unlucky Morpheus. Check out Quadratum doing Eruption on the violin. Mind blowing.
!!
Oh man, your mind is going to be sooo blown.
Kitsune Dao!
Long time I haven't seen a very honest reaction for babymetal.
Yes it was good to see his genuine reaction 😁 🤘🦊 there are a few false one's about unfortunately ☹
As I always say to newcomers,
"Hm (nods) ... first time?"
I've listened to them for years and they've trailblazed across the world.
Great reaction, liked it a lot. Here are some fun facts.
1. BabyMetal and Black Pink are the only two girl groups to end up in the top 10 on BillBoard's World Album chart
2. BabyMetal is the only Asian group to ever hit #1 on Billboards Top Rock Album chart
3. Lars Ulrich of Metallica took his wife to a BabyMetal concert so that in his words "she could see the awesomeness of BabyMetal"
4. Cory Taylor of Slipknot was asked who he listened to at home and he said "BabyMetal"
5. They performed Gimme Chocolate with The Red Hot Chili Peppers
6. They performed Gimme Chocolate with Dragon Force
7. Brien Welch of Korn got on stage to perform Gimme Chocolate with them.
8. They performed the Judas Priest classics Pain Killer and Breaking the Law with Rob Halford of Judas Priest
9. Two of their songs GImme Chocolate and Road of Resistance have been named as the one of the most important metal songs of the last 10 years
10.The three girls, Su Metal, MoaMetal and YuiMetal were named in the list of Women Who Have Changed The Face of Metal In the Last 20 Years
Great list but Black Pink did have the advantage of being mainstream and Kpop which is huge there music is played on all mainstream platforms but even then still a great achievement by Black Pink 🤘🦊.
You finally found a fox hole.
The hole is deeper than you think.
If you fall into a hole, you won't be able to get out, but don't worry, because we're already in the depths of the hole and we're so happy lol.
I looking forward to it.
Wonderful reaction! See you in the mosh'sh pit.
FYI: BABYMETAL does not relate directly to the age of the girls. It's a reference to a new kind of metal music: Kawaii Metal (Cute Metal).
And/or "newborn metal" in reference to their unique and refreshing approach on metal.
And, mostly that Heavy in Japanese (Hēbii) uses the same characters to write as Baby (Bēbii).
So, it's in fact, a pun.
Edit: just some grammar.
This is getting better and better first Kpop now babymetal I love it here. I also recommend checking out BABYMETAL legend of 1997 headbanger.
Why is everyone recommending the 1997 version the audio quality is just awful in that one

Ahhh, Babymetal...your musical world is about to change! Great reaction, and you have much to experience, Welcome to the Foxhole.
I love watching people see this for the first time. I was the same way lol
Check out their song megitsune!!!!! One of my favorite songs of theirs. I saw them live twice and they put on an amazing show 🤘
Oh, and they love their food songs ... check out Pa Pa Ya (papaya) when you get a chance ... big twist!
Just wait til you watch them crucify the lead singer on stage ☺️ most metal thing I have ever seen. I fell in love first time I heard them on my channel as well
Great reaction man i love it when babymetal makes someone smile :D

I hope your video dont get blocked, theyr company (Amuse inc) is so heavy with the blocks and strikes, i recommend you to dont react to videos of their official channel (live babymetal videos are the bests) or use a watermark

I reacted pretty much the same way, the first time I saw them🤘 😂🤘
I am officially addicted to watching your babymetal reaction videos. we need to see all of their songs lol. Good work and keep these up please..
BEST reaction I've ever seen.
Incredulous!
Ah appreciate you!
That laugh at 1:18 was the appropriate first reaction to BabyMetal. 🤣
Almost everyone's first reaction
Babymetal are my favourite band in the world, and i've been a fan of them since i was 12 so i can say this with confidence - they sound even better live. this was the studio recording of gimme chocolate! but if you do more videos i recommend finding live versions of songs - I recommend Megitsune, Headbanger, Karate and Distortion! all of their songs are absolutely fantastic though, and even though they turn 12 years old this year i don't remember a single time Su-Metal has messed up a line or failed her cue!!
🤘🤘❤️❤️
I believe once on the asia tour few years ago after a long tour her voice cracked very slightly in one place. But apart from that I am not aware.
Nice! I really like their song Karate
02:19 that look is priceless
You said you're into metal music so I recommend you react to Rondo of Nightmare Live at Budokan. You won't be disappointed.
This song was my first introduction to them to. For the first 2 minutes I was like "huh??" By the time the song was over I was already doing a deep dive on pirate bay looking for every live show I could find. As for recommendations, this is part of my play list for when I'm in the car:
Headbanger

Oh manjni
Karate
Megitsune
(the last one is great for doing about 85 mph on the interstate)

Such a dangerous first reaction. Even Su knows that this song can be divisive.
You showed the appropriate reaction to Babymetal: Smiles and laughter.
Have fun on your journey into the Foxhole.
I can't wait to hear more!! ❤️
For sure you gotta check out Karate, Headbanger and Megitsune + Akatsuki (Karate check out the normal video, Headbanger from the Legend 1997 show and Megitsune + Akatsuki from Budokan live show)!
They've worked with some of the biggest names in Metal, they even did a song with Rob Halford from Judas Priest
i was so confused when i first heard babymetal but i love them
Be prepared.
But so you know:
02:18 is Moa
02:21 is Yui
02:30 Yui is on the left, Moa is on the right.
Gimme Chocolate deals with desires and inhibitions and consequences. They WANT chocolate, but they worry about their weight. Really. Du-metal has an early BABYMETAL translation blog. The opening of the song goes like:
[[Give me chocolate!]]
[[Give me!]]
[[Give me!]]
Atatata taata taatatata zukkyun.
Watatata taata taatatata dokkyun.
Zukkyun. Dokkyun. Zukkyun. Dokkyun.
I won't, won't, won't, won't. Never. Never. Never.
Check-it-out chocolate. Can I have a bit of chocolate?
But my weight worries me a bit these days.
However, chocolate! Can I have a bit of chocolate?
But wait a while! Wait a while! Wait! Wait! Wait!
So this is what is being discussed over those sick grinding chords.
A passing fox left its footprints. 🐾🐾🐾🦊 See You

it's called babymetal...because they created a new style...kawaii metal....everyone smiles when they see YUI... she is the most adorable girl that exists in life
I love seeing everyone get heckin' bamboozled by Babymetal 😂
This is my favorite reaction video on youtube. By far. I can relive my first Babymetal experience through you every single time.
Yup. That was my first reaction, too. Subscribed and watching for your next venture. Headbanger live Legend of 1997.
Welcome to the BABYMETAL Galaxy. They are something unique and special. You have seen nothing yet ;) 🤘🦊🤘
Only advice I have with BabyMetal is to try and not to look into Su Metal's eyes.
The next thing you know, you snap out of her spell, hours went by, you missed dinner, and the birds are singing and your socks are missing.
But you get to keep your soul. The real warning is to not stare at Yui for too long. She WILL steal your soul.
I want that experience but i did get a smile of Moa and walked around for weeks with a smiling like a clown

Here’s a more recent concert in HD and it’s epic. Metal Galaxy Day 2 ua-cam.com/video/2HsRUZzjZkQ/v-deo.html
Thank you for showing me this group, now I have to find more of their songs. You have a great day and Stay Safe.
Hi and welcome to the wonderful Babymetal Galaxy. Great reaction.
Babymetal is a japanese kawaii metal-band ”cute metal” and is heavy metal with J-pop aesthetics.
The name is a pun to heavy metal
Babymetal - Bebimetaru ベビメタル
Heavy Metal - Hebimetaru ヘビメタル
And is not about the girls age even though they started as preteens but is about giving a birth to a new genre Kawaii metal.
The girls are Suzuka ”Su-metal” Nakamoto (born 20 Dec 1997)
Moa ”Moametal” Kikuchi (born 4 July 1999) and
Yui ”Yuimetal” Mizuno (born 20 June 1999) Yui left the BM 2018 due to undisclosed health issues.
They started 2010 as a sub-unit to Sakura Gakuin (school-themed J-pop group for girls between 10-15)
and became their own entity 2013.
Welcome to the foxhole. Greatest live act in the world. 50+ songs to go through.. have fun!!
The statue in the background is for an homage to Metallica's "...And Justice For All".🤘🦊🤘
You're in for a ride. Check out Karate and Megitsune MVs and the live performances of Road of Resistance - Live in Japan and Rondo of Nightmare Live @ Budokan Black Night.
Live is even better.
As a metalhead myself, I had a similar reaction to yours. Mine was "What the hell did I just watch? I don't know how to feel about this." And then I was hooked lol
Road of Resistance Live in Japan next please. Shows their crowd interaction.
All three of your recommendations are Su solos. Why do you hate MoiMoi? LOL
@@honorarythamesman5732 And here I am with Brand New Day on repeat. You think NNB gets no love. . .
Was at that concert too.. Fantastic show
@@thecarloschp4784 totally was, wasn't it!
That's the official video of the song "Gimme Chocolate" as you could notice you can hear singing or screams of the public
you should listen to the real live version, because this is the studio version look for the live version
Ah okay my friend! I will 🤘
Thank you for finally getting to BABYMETAL, as you can see from my name and symbol they are my absolute favorite band! This song was pretty much a hook song that went viral and does not really show the true talent of the actual musicians and three girls, now two officially, that are involved! Please check out more, I would suggest Road of resistance, Headbanger or Akatsuki! Absolutely dig your reactions and subscribed a while back!🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼🦊
My favorite song by them is Headbanger 🥰
Thank you for another fantastic video!!! This is actually one of my favorite songs by Baby Medal!!!
More Babymetal!
Check out BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance Live in Japan next! Nice Reaction!
Sounds like the closing credits of an anime series from 10-15 years ago.
Nothing beats the overwhelming experience of hearing Babymetal for the first time. Thanks for your wonderful reaction. Welcome to the foxhole 😁
I got to see Babymetal in Dallas, TX House of Blues a few years ago. Absolutely amazing.
This was the first song I listened to also and was hooked
Great reaction!
Yes sir. BabyMetal is the real deal. Lead vocalist Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal stage name) is unparalleled in her vocal abilities. Metallica, Slipknot, Judas Priest, Sabaton, Guns and Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Korn, Rob Zombie, Bring Me The Horizon and others respect and have either collaborated or performed with these young ladies. Their backup band (not the actors in skeleton costumes here pretending to play instruments to a backtrack ) The Kami Band -made up the Japans best session musicians are truly a thing to behold
React to LIVE performances when possible as it is an experience.
Don`t forget Archenemy
Absolutely
this song was my first time listening to BABYMETAL and i have been a fan for life.
Saw them in concert here in Chicago back in 2019…it was an amazing time!
" Live BABYMETAL is Life "
Cannot wait until you get to experience Queen SuMetal in all her glory on stage live. Also, let me get this out of the way #NotACult :)
#NotACult No matter what you see in BABYMETAL DEATH videos.

You should really watch Headbanger, my first and most favorite song of babymetal
Wonderful & genuine reaction , loved this! Here's a couple of suggestions,i probably wont be the only one suggesting these either! :0
1, Headbanger Live @ Legend 1997 Apocalypse
2, BABYMETAL DEATH - LIVE~LEGEND 1997
Both from the same concert as this 'Gimme-Chocolate' was performed!
My first time seeing Babymetal was their first performance on American TV on David Letterman
Cheers!
yes. yes. yes.
Japanese culture doesnt have a devil creature. But it does have a mischievous fox spirit that fills the role for the band quite well.
That was my exact reaction when I saw this! I was like wtf?? What is this? Its perfect is all I can say.
when you get a chance watch "A guide to Babymetal" it will give you the answers you seek, but yes their live performances are way better then their studio stuff, their crowd control is insane
I knew you'd have that "WTF?!" look in your eyes. It was inevitable.
😂
This is just the tip of the iceberg, and this is the iceberg that sunk the titanic. Many video recommendations will come from that specific concert, and you have no idea how it ends. Don't rush, or you will fall! kitsune up! #notacult.
I may not be something I would put on the stereo when I'm home alone.
But I would freaking love to be at one of their concerts 🤘😁🤘
Awesome vibes all the way 🙌
