The E28 is back! So great to see you working back on it Memphis, loved this episode today! A full detailing episode on the car would be really awesome as well, would love to see that. Do you have any future plans to correct the paintwork? As usual though man, great stuff :)
Great content as always, Stijn. I'm myself a sucker for old VW stuff, however this E28 of yours is truly awesome. Thanks for putting all of this effort on your cars and sharing with us. Cheers from Germany
I am retired motor mechanic I have to say for doing brake lines for the first time you did a grand job, I can tell you I have seen some horrible jobs done by back street cowboys in my day very enjoyable posting :-)
Great video Memphis. I’d love to see a full detailing of the E28, it might spur me on to tackle my own classic. I’ve always thought you were the coolest UA-camr what with your incredible knowledge and skill, your patience and not least your humour. Now I know it’s true… nice Ramones T’shirt my friend 😎👍
Awesome episode man. The exhaust refresh was really satisfying. No more visible rust beneath the car. Can’t wait for your detailing episode on this car! @M539 Restorations would like this episode too 😂
Thank you, great video once again. Yes, I just love the E28 BMW, my father drove a Dolpin Grey 520i manual when I was in high school. So any video with this car brings back so many memories, please do the detailing one. I just love sport exhausts on 6 cylinder BMW 's, they sound so nice! Groete uit Suid Afrika.
Really nice job on the copper lines ! And the exhaust sounds very good. Clean rumble, no metallic echo, just a nice, throaty sound 👌 I'm getting a stainless steel muffler delete pipe in two weeks, I'm so excited haha 😂 If you need a hand for an interior detailing with an extractor shampoo machine, don't hesitate 😁
Great video, Memphis. Wonderful to see the old BMW getting love. The new exhaust sounds fantastic. Seeing you doing the brake lines reminds me of the first time I did hard lines. It was on a 1979 Ford Thunderbird. At the factory the lines were put on the frame rails before the body was dropped on. That made for some fun. More fun was doing outside with the car up on an air jack, and lying on the ground. We used steel lines, and bending then just right was a bit of a challenge. On that car, the fuel line ran right beside it, so new fuel line at the same time. Still, the end result was worth the effort. I can't wait to see the old BMW looking as great as it sounds. That will be well worth watching. I keep hoping for more Greta, too. That is the car that drew me to watching your channel, as I have a huge soft spot for the Volvo 240 Estate. That is what I drive daily, although mine is a 2.3 litre petrol backed by the AW-70 automatic gearbox. Still, at 605,000 kilometers, I cannot complain.
my first love is the BMW 2002, and my last love is the E28. i have each. As well as an E 46 ZHP and a 2007 E91. My E 28 should be on road by spring. Then its Tii time. Thank You for your content.
There are some special products for exaust - a paste for cold and one for hot (witch one you want to use) to seal properlly the "joints" of the exaust (like an adhesive), instead of the copper vaseline. At least now test it with some sopy water all the joints and be sure you don't have gas leaks on the fittings.
Good that you chose nickel-copper instead of just copper! The regular workshops/garages use just copper and it is weaker than steel. It does not rust like steel, but it is weaker in terms of holding pressure. Nickel-copper however is stronger than steel and also does not rust. As much as I have read on the internet - Lambos and similar cars (and VOLVOS!) have nickel-copper lines from factory.
Nice work Stijn! Now the E28 desperately needs to be lowered. I can recommend a set of AP springs. Mine went to -40mm at the front, -30mm in the back. No issues at the “autocontrole”. Greetings from Mechelen, Belgium.
I like this guy, compared to a few of the other you tubers with slight attitude🤥 Only been watching a few of his videos and like his presentation, his attitude etc. good going and good luck with your hobbies and projects.
Good to see the BMW getting attention. Nice job putting it all together. Check your brake lights maybe just camera angle but it looked like one was out. Have fun
Please wetvac carpets and seats. Also the faded back plastic could do with being sprayed with mid sheen black paint especially those hood air vents. Thanks.
I was thinking about the same thing. Galvanic isolation also crossed my mind with the copper grease on the alouminized steel exhaust. Keep up the good work, the e28 community is watching.
Hello, the front bumper, the driver's side, at the end is open, it must be fastened to the body, otherwise it looks great, and the new drum sounds very good
Loved it how you showed the process of bending and cutting those copper tubes for the brakes . I saw Ed China from Wheeler Dealer do the same thing and he heated the ends of the copper tubes to make it smoother for forming those bulbs at the end. Great job 👍😀
I purchased mine in Alicante, Spain and drove it home to Belgium, 2000km road trip. There are still some good, rust free examples in your beautiful country. 👍
E28 is looking lovely, good job on the brake lines and exhaust 👍. I'd happily watch any video you post Memphis, you are a hidden gem in the UA-cam world, thanks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A super video Memphis. So much done to the BMW and mega interesting. Great you have found your mojo......I lost mine years ago! Look forward to the big detailing job :-)
Great to see another video, although I was anxiously waiting for what's happening on the golf, this video was enjoyable to watch and I would love to see the full detail on this "beemer" it deserves. Starting with detailing my old golf cabrio tomorrow again.. So rewarding!
You killed me with the "Harlequin". Lol Edit: also, I laughed so hard when the final result of the painting was showed. I'm sure I would have done worse
Great vid, I like the e28 vids the most. Would like to see a detailing episode but also would love to see you tackle the paintwork again so it all matches correctly. Keep up the great work.
I would love to see more content of the E28! It is the reason why I started watching your videos and become a subscriber. I think it would be awesome if you could give it a good detail, specially in the interior. Another thing that will really help the look of the car would be to paint the windshield wipers and the bumper trims black! Love the Chanel, keep it up! Greetings from Argentina
Really enjoyed this video, awesome work dude. The production quality has come a long way from those early days, great camera work, editing, explanations etc. Impressive brake pipes, nice to see you using the right kind of nickel copper and not just the soft stuff. I was worried that the exhaust would sound overblown but no, it sounds very nice indeed and manages to retain the sweetness of that straight six which is one of the main pleasures of driving these cars, hearing the wail of that in line straight engine as you approach the red line. Great work on the brakes, seems like it would stop on a dime now and wow the old girl can really move too. Would love to see a full detail on the E28, was impressed how clean it was underneath, it surely deserves to receive a little pampering. Would also like to see you take a road trip in here eventually.
I’m 100% here for a Memphis detailing episode.
Finally the Beemer gets some copper love
The E28 is back! So great to see you working back on it Memphis, loved this episode today! A full detailing episode on the car would be really awesome as well, would love to see that. Do you have any future plans to correct the paintwork? As usual though man, great stuff :)
I agree with everything said here. Brilliant video today 👌🏻
SMURF!!!
Great content as always, Stijn. I'm myself a sucker for old VW stuff, however this E28 of yours is truly awesome. Thanks for putting all of this effort on your cars and sharing with us. Cheers from Germany
You’ve answered a question I’ve had for a while! You have qualifications in automotive/mechanics! I thought you did. Skills. Enjoying the content.
I am retired motor mechanic I have to say for doing brake lines for the first time you did a grand job, I can tell you I have seen some horrible jobs done by back street cowboys in my day very enjoyable posting :-)

@M539 Restorations would like this episode too 😂
Yes it does need a good clean especially the cloth seats.
On the brakelines, you did a better job than 99% of garages out there
I have always loved the M20 sound.
Glad to see the e28 back being restored
Great to see the E28 back on the channel again!!!! Would also love to see an E30....keep up the good work.
Next week a new episode ? 😀 Very nice video’s, with great explanation. Inspiritional.
PUNG!!!!
I am very happy to see the E28 back!

I was getting almost Edd China vibes from this, nice work chief, 100k subs soon 👌
Excellent straightforward simple car lovely
You resisted the urge to straight pipe. I had an e46 m54 330i straight piped and the noise was glorious.
E28 is one of my very favorite cars of all time. I would enjoy watching one get a full detail.
Great to see the e28 back sounds great with the new exhaust .
Have loved the e28 since 1981,thanks for keeping the memories going 👍👍
With regard to the black plastic trim pieces, use Teak Oil to bring it back to new.
Teak oil? Will that last, or will it turn grey again after a couple of months?
@@e28forever30 It lasts longer than the stuff you can buy in auto accessory shops
Really nice job on the copper lines ! And the exhaust sounds very good. Clean rumble, no metallic echo, just a nice, throaty sound 👌 I'm getting a stainless steel muffler delete pipe in two weeks, I'm so excited haha 😂
If you need a hand for an interior detailing with an extractor shampoo machine, don't hesitate 😁
Yes, we need detail episode so much.
Memphis The Man. You gonna be big one day man. Create an international team that gathers in different countries.
P.S love your music choice.

Oh hell yes. Detail that beautiful ride.

Nice work Stijn!
Now the E28 desperately needs to be lowered.
I can recommend a set of AP springs.
Mine went to -40mm at the front, -30mm in the back.

It's about time, superior manufacturer.
Wow, the exhaust looks nice and sounds nice!
Great E28 restoration seems to be close to an and. Personally, now I'd like to watch a road trip with this car and maybe a little track day.
I like this guy, compared to a few of the other you tubers with slight attitude🤥
Only been watching a few of his videos and like his presentation, his attitude etc. good going and good luck with your hobbies and projects.
More E28 content, absolutely love it 👍

Yes please, she needs to be looking her best when she gets back on the Road 👍🏾. Full detail 🤗💙
Nice to see some work on the BMW. The E28 is just so good looking :)
Please wetvac carpets and seats. Also the faded back plastic could do with being sprayed with mid sheen black paint especially those hood air vents. Thanks.
Those new brake lines looks really satisfying!
you should isolate the clamps from the breaklines to prevent galvanic corrosion
I was thinking about the same thing. Galvanic isolation also crossed my mind with the copper grease on the alouminized steel exhaust.
Keep up the good work, the e28 community is watching.
Hello, the front bumper, the driver's side, at the end is open, it must be fastened to the body, otherwise it looks great, and the new drum sounds very good
More BMW videos, more better.

Great video my dad had a lovely e28 years ago fond memories would love to see more videos on this great car
Loved it how you showed the process of bending and cutting those copper tubes for the brakes . I saw Ed China from Wheeler Dealer do the same thing and he heated the ends of the copper tubes to make it smoother for forming those bulbs at the end. Great job 👍😀
Outstanding work
New brake lines are awesome
Love the Exhaust
Ik wilde commenten dat die wagen echt een "detail" nodig had, maar gelukkig zei je het al aan het einde. Ik zie die video graag tegemoet!
I've always liked the E28. I wish they still made them that well nowadays - I'd buy one right now.
Greetings from Spain.
I purchased mine in Alicante, Spain and drove it home to Belgium, 2000km road trip.
There are still some good, rust free examples in your beautiful country. 👍
Hi mate! Yes, I would definitely like to see an episode where you fully detail this car.

Ah the old BMW “Harlequin” 🤣
It would look a whole lot better if you repainted the door and wing with the correct colour code this time
Yeah that is definetely on my to do list
You killed me with the "Harlequin". Lol
Edit: also, I laughed so hard when the final result of the painting was showed. I'm sure I would have done worse

More good wrok. The car is getting very near complete now. Hopefully you get to actually drive it now. It would look much better with a good valet.
