Combined with great genetics, Kathy (and probably Taylforth in real life) doesn’t drink to excess, she doesn’t smoke. She’s living testament of how not indulging in those two habits can help preserve youthful looks. Her face is a marvel.
What I note is how the heavy Cockney accents from these original episodes has become more bland and softened in the current episodes. Makes these 80s episodes look like a parodies of residents of the East End are supposed to talk
4:34 - I had to do just this when an illegitimate, born without my permission, hidden from me for all these years did the exact same. Told him he is nothing and to get lost out of my life. He was so hurt that he disappeared for good withouta trace. It takes two parents to agree on a child, not one. I applaud this storyline because Kathy was abused and was forced to have Donna against her wishes and gave her up for adoption.
You know Donna Eventually committed suicide and Kathy had to Bear that Weight on her Conscience for over 30 years don't you? I honestly hope yours had more luck!
Kathy was Born Around 1950, Ian Was Born around 1969/70, But Gillian and Adam were Born in 1955 and 1968 Respectively, so not that much of an age difference!
Kathy’s right she is most certainly no Julia Roberts thank god. What was the point in bringing James Willmott Brown back to the show 2017 the storyline between him an Kathy was dead an buried years ago there was no need to drag it all up again.
Willmott Brown coming back was to bring the traumatic moment in Kathy’s life to a full close. Wilmott Brown was rich but miserable. His nastiness uncontrolled. His return allowed Kathy to see how she’s changed since he raped her. He withered and died but she flourishes.
@@jonwiley2592 Dead unconfirmed. He had everything handed to him on a silver platter, back in 80s when he was living in Walford amongst the regulars his father never approved his choice of living in a place like Walford. Willmott Brown one the few people outside of East End who saw Walford had potential to change but the people of Albert Square don’t like change there intimidated by the Upper Class.
The whole show isn’t the same. It’s become a caricature of its former self. The clips from 1985-2000 are all believable and well acted. The 2015 onwards clips demonstrate how the show became overblown and exaggerated. Both Sharon and Kathy behaved out of character for the sake of sensationalism.
A woman that just doesn’t age. She could be 90 and still look great. Love Kathy. She’s been in the show forever.

Right! I mean Ian is supposed to be her son but he looks 20 years older than her
@@jonwiley2592 Plastic surgery and make up can also be part of it. Plus a very easy life.
@@idreeskhan8885 For some people, you may be right. But i believe this is Gillian Taylforth's natural face. The woman's a marvel.
@@jonwiley2592 Oh come one she was aged previously but now its just seemingly stuck in its tracks? Have some common sense?
Kathy Beale is a legend.
NBA?
I agree
I love this video of Gillian Taylforth as Kathy Beale a wonderful character played by a great actress!
Gillian is brilliant as kathy Beale 💯
Kathy Beale is the most iconic woman of Walford .
The most iconic is dot pat and Peggy
She practically looks the same in 23 as she did in 85. Apart from the hair and makeup of course.
Botox and fillers
Miss Pat and Kathy together 😂
Gillian Taylforth is an underrated actress she plays Kathy Beale perfectly🙌🙌
It's sad that kathy never got a chance to fix her relationship with donna

I Always Felt So Bad For Donna! 😢
Still gorgeous after all these years!

The character just ain't the same ...there's something different about Kathy and i do think it's to do with the actress and the writing
The actor is still brilliant when given content but I don’t think the writers know what to do with her a lot of the time.
