    Once again, a big thank you for watching and subscribing. I hope you find this video helpful. I noticed torque steer when towing mainly is what lead me to replace the arms... has made a huge difference. I no longer get torque steer or wandering going down the highway. Everything seems nice and tight like a brand new truck! It's been a long time since I've been excited for a repair and this was it!

    Help, I’m having a weird feeling towards the back of the truck. Specially when I go into a complete stop and accelerate feels like if something moves or goes into gear. But no noise, or scraping like gears or anything like that. My mechanic took a look at the shaft, he said it looked steady not much play. He couldn’t take a look at the differential cause he would have to drain fluid and open it. One small thing he did noticed was the REAR lower and UPPER control Arms had little play. To his point of view it’s possibly where the movement is coming from.
    Did you ever had any issue close to that description!!

      Sorry I missed your comment! This is actually sounding like you have bind in the slip yoke on the rear driveline. There are a few videos and forums online about this exact issue.

    Inspecting my trailing arms and the bushings are dry rotted, I also notice play with a pry bar, do I need to uninstall to fully diagnose or is it safe to say they’re gone

      Could be the four rear control arms looks for cracks or separation in the rubber bushings. When mine went bad when I let of the gas I could feel the axle shift.

    Dave,
    I’m looking to get the tufftruck coil springs. How do you like the ride? Soft or firm?

    • @DavesBuild
      @DavesBuild  10 місяців тому +1

      I like them! They ride like factory unless you hit some big bumps.

    What problems were you having in the rear to replace the springs and control arms?

    • @DavesBuild
      @DavesBuild  Рік тому +1

      Truck rear was sagging and I was getting torque steer we accelerating while towing mainly.

    Dave,
    Question for you. I put a 2 inch spacer in the rear on top of the coil springs and now I get a rear bounce/hop at 50mph. Under 50mph or over no bounce/hop. Also, I get a rear vibration under my center console only at 70mph. Do you have this problem with your truck?

    • @DavesBuild
      @DavesBuild  Рік тому +1

      That's weird, I do not have that issue. Could be a coincidence that your shocks may have went out at the same time? 🤷‍♂️

      @Ricky Slatton are the shocks long enough? I doubt that 2 inches you would need an adjustable trailing arm. If you have stock shocks good possibility?
