This looks like a darker version of the original (though I haven't seen the original), much like the 2017 Saban's Power Rangers is of Mighty Morphin. If it's as good as that film, then I'm in.
If you have the time, try watching the original series or at least a couple of episodes. There's some parts in Black Sun that call back to the series and they're really cool.
