  • 🕊️👑Bethy offers a Holy Week devotional for kids on the Resurrection of Jesus! This is what Easter is all about, We celebrate that the tomb is empty! Jesus is Alive! He is Risen! This Easter week devotional is designed to be used at home by parents who would like to make this Holy Week special for their kids. It can also be an excellent resource for Sunday school teachers looking for support for their lessons on Matthew 28:1-10, Mark 16:1-8, Luke 24:1-12 and John 20:1-10.

    🕊️👑Questions for Further Discussion:
    1) Why were the ladies going to the tomb?
    2) What happened when the women got there?
    3) Was Jesus in the tomb? Was he still dead?
    4) who told them that he was alive?
    5) who did they meet on the road?
    6) what did they do when they saw Jesus?
    7) What is Easter all about?

    Lesson Notes:
    Here are the instructions for this lesson so you can reproduce it for your kids or class.
    Materials:
    -Your Bible bookmarked to Matthew 28:1-10
    🥐-Ressurection Biscuit recipe:
    -canned biscuits (8 pack)
    -8 marshmallows
    -about 2 tablespoons of white sugar
    -about 2 tablespoons of cinnamon
    -about 3 Tablespoons of melted butter
    🪴-Potted tomb
    -shallow bowl or pot
    -potting soil
    -small pot to make the tomb
    -the round stone that was rolled away
    -small stones to make a walkway
    -the 3 crosses (sticks, hot glue, and twine)
    -grass seed
    -Playdough
    Directions:
    -Talk about the excitement! Easter is finally here! We are celebrating the empty tomb!!
    -Read Matthew 28:1-10
    -talk about what it says again just to make sure that everyone understands
    -Jesus was dead, but not anymore! the tomb is empty!
    -Choose one or 2 of the activities above to do with your kids.
    -While you work together, ask the questions from the lesson and get your class to engage by responding to what they learned. Particularly, that they would be able to apply these truths to their lives.
    All Scriptures were taken out to the NLT (New Living Translation) of the Bible.
