Diamond Wheel Installation on Wolfe Industries Twice As Sharp Scissor Sharpener

I decided to upgrade the grinding wheel on my twice as sharp machine that I use for sewing scissors exclusively ‪@sharpenrightservicesllc‬ I bought a 240 grit wheel from Continental Diamond Tools. The wheel works so much better than the factory wheel and produces much less dust.

You think it’s good for knife sharpening also with slower rpm’s?

It works better for sewing and industrial scissors. First of all the TAS white 100 grit stone creates a rougher edge on high quality sewing scissors along with creating a lot of dust. I went through those stones really fast also. I sharpen a lot of scissors for sewing shops and upholstery shops. The diamond stone wasn't cheap. It was $160 but has lasted almost two years now and its still perfect. I was going through a factory wheel every year. I think Wolff makes a diamond or CBN wheel now. Not sure the quality. I like the way this wheel performs. I hope that helps.
