Thank you so much for these 394 videos dude. I'm actually converting a 394 to a 95. My customer brought me the newer style cylinder. But this series of videos are gold. Obviously they can be interpreted to other saws. If I'm being honest, you, & Buckin' got me into saws. I dunno, I just can't thank you enough. It's an awesome hobby. And a guy can make a few dollars sometimes eh 🤟🏼
@@stevetheriault4164 I made a good friend way North of me that's got the saw bug too, lol. We are constantly blowing eachother's phones up. He has a 394 on the bench right now also. There's just so much good that comes with this. Anyway, good luck to your projects Steve. That's awesome!
Nice grind... that's skill. I can hardly wait to hear this saw run. I personally like the ramhorn pipe the bests. It fills the opening and works. It looks professional on a saw, like it should be there. I like the UFO pipes too. It's gonna be a runner for certain. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
Ramping the piston to get more transfer duration is a good thing to try for power if it works bonus it’s better than wrecking a cylinder pistons are cheaper good video bud hope your doing well and the family🪵🪵👍👍
So you are incapable of learning how to do anything? You just bumble through everything you ever ever do, and if you ever manage to accomplish something, its only because your lord decided to just do it for you? Strange outlook, but to each their own.
Hey tinman, what about angling the transfers to create swirl? Is that desirable? I’m thinking it could be done mostly with ramp angle and a degree or two difference front to rear on the opening to assist directional momentum to the transfer charge. I know the general flow in the cylinder is towards the exhaust so maybe that’s the primary factor that would overtake any transfer work? I really don’t know. I did think of you yesterday seeing a NOS 3120 get posted locally. I think it’s gone already unfortunately. I still kick myself for not getting a 395 for $500 that popped up recently even though I would never use it besides once for saying I did.
Hey Tin. Much love from North Carolina. I have a new 562 that I want to perk up a little. Would a pipe mod and maybe smoother ports do it? No real removal of materials, just polishing what is there? Just wondering. Hope you have a great day 🤙🤙
I really like watching your videos I have a 55 Husqvarna chainsaw that has a open port cylinder piston is almost perfect if I wanted to put a closed port clinder on it do I need a different piston
I still havent raised transfers on a saw. They were always high enough. I dont do extensive machine work that would lower the transfers alot so i have yet to find a reason to raise them in a work saw. If i would want more compression i would cut popup piston and cut the base for that because it does not lower the transfers as much as cutting the squish band and base.
Quick question on this,, even though it’s not about this video. I don’t know how else to ask you this question? Is there a place or A website that I can get a T-shirt that says “SHE CUT’S EH”??? Just asking, Thks
New Iron horse and Tinman videos back-to-back? What a treat!

I am absolutely positive I have no skills that's what the spirit of my lord is for, if I do it right he did it.

How's the Tinman and family
Can you give me some safe numbers for smaller saws like 40-50cc Husqvarna clamshells?
Hey gave a bunch of safe numbers for different sized saws a month or so ago. Look for "I'm writing a porting book" or something along those lines.
@@Brian-my3gd Thanks. I've ported several larger saws but nothing that small.
Smaller saws tolerate less timing so the best thing to do is stay conservative.
