Thank you for joining me on this solo overnighter in a new bit of kit i have just recently got , the Dutch Army canvas tent.
In this video i will be spending the night solo with my dog in the woodland hoping to test out the tent on how water proof the dutch canvas tent is . Alone with some simple woodland cooking simple food cooked on the camp fire.

Thank you 👍 yeah alot of people don't like silent videos but alot of people also do so I do try to put the odd silent one in sometimes for those who enjoy them .
Thought the way you present is down to earth and relatable to most working folk who just want to find some peace for a night away from the stress of a frantic world. I've subscribed. Now I'm thinking of one of those Dutch army tents. I can hack the solid groundsheet but might need to replace the poles with something lighter. Great vid. More power to you. McIntyre Scotland
Thank you and it is great to get away from all the stress we all seem to be having at the minute. The Dutch tents are great bits of kit for the price but they are heavy and bulky so wouldn't recommend them for a too long of a hike also I would recommend getting a Grade A used one or a super grade one 👍

I have the Dutch tent. Just needs a good soak in fabsill and your off. 40 mph winds this week and rain. Warm and bone dry.

Looks like a great spot. If you don't mind me asking, what camera do you use and are you using a mic? The dialog was so clear, mine sounds like garbage
Its a very peaceful woodland 👍 i use a Canon 750D with a mic
Been considering a Dutch army tent for a while now. The only thing is the mixed reviews it gets, yours seemed to hold up in the rain where did you get it?.

I was the same about it because of all the mixed views and opinions, I think the trick is to keep the small length of zip in the corners outside of the tent and not tuck it inside as it will act like a wick for the water to follow hence why people get water in the corners when it rains , it was actually jim-bobs Adventures & kit who suggested to me about keeping them outside. The girlfriend got it for me so not sure what site its from .

Thank you 👍. All I can really say from experience is prepare for alot of hard work as its not easy when first starting out due to the amount of people uploading these types of videos . You will have days where you feel like your wasting your time coz you aint getting many views or subs but stick with it 👍 and also just be yourself in videos and upload as regularly as you can 👍posting to social media always helps to get more people to your channel to watch your videos .
