I know you might not read this, but I'm really impressed by your no damaged run. but for all enemies of the game you know you can press triangle and an arrow at the same time to do a Dodge like resident evil 3? You could have essentially use this to cheese the pterodactyl portions. Maybe it was less reliable to use in your playthrough tho. You could also hit left bumper to change your target so you don't have to re ready your weapon.
@@CarcinogenSDA using the sub weapon knife animation frames to prevent damage and the side step seem to be more speed run stats, not necessarily safer. I'd love to see you do a speedrun someday if you have the chance that'd be cool.

I know I'm late for the party but I just wanted to praise you on the playthrough of my childhood's favorite game. One hint for future runs: don't kill blue raptors with the anti-tank rifle. It uses a lot of bullets and you might get in trouble trying to group the pair together. Use the solid cannon instead. They get stun locked by the shockwave and you can use that to kill them easily and without wasting much ammo at all. I've played this game since I was 7 and it works consistently every single time 😁
I think the reason I used the AT rifle was because they had too much HP and that the stun proc on Solid Cannon didn't always work for me. Either way, if I ever revisit this, I'm not farming points anymore
@CarcinogenSDA ah yeah makes sense. My issue with the AT rifle is the long recoil it has. Sometimes the time it takes you to shoot one is the time for the other one to attack you. Blue raptors only happen if you get a combo of 20+ raptors in the room before. The solid Canon is a godsend and paralyses them whilst still allowing you to move and adjust your aim, or leave a shock wave behind you if you're getting chased, so they get stunned and you have time to retaliate. It's really an OP weapon but it's not my fault the game offers it right at the start xD

*doesn't question why she doesn't do that to begin with*
This was the first game I ever completed. I died so many times but I always remember wanting to proceed in this game. I don't know why I persisted so much but i'm glad I did. I really did love this game,
Watched every second of this awesome game just so i can re-live my childhood memory of this. Glad too know there are a lot of ppl who like this game very much! Awesome!
Ps. I see DC2 i subscribe!
I'm a bit late, but finding the keycard in the river at 31:06 is actually not that bad casually. The file is there to help if you're completely clueless, but if you hang around the river area for a few seconds, you will see a leaf start to float downstream. If you follow it, it will lead you to the keycard which will sparkle to indicate it's there. I happened upon it on my first playthrough long before needing it.
Missile pod works really well with the pterodactyls since it homes on them and they try to avoid it so them crucial seconds could help
i’ll keep that in mind!

Hey Carci,
You probably won't see this but I just want say thank you so much for uploading these videos. I can't catch your stream due to work any more but in the total of the 9 weeks my wife was off work after our third child was born we've watched your videos so much and so many times. They've given us a distraction from our stress of say to day life and just helped us get on by. Even now, almost nightly we watch one of your videos to go to sleep to. So thank you! You're a awesome streamer and content creator and I can't thank you enough for both the commentary and no commentary videos you do!
The family that watches Carci together stays together, huh?
@@CarcinogenSDA seems to working that way for sure :) my 2 month old is addicted to your RE2 runs right now lol.. he gets so fixated on them and calms down it is beyond adorable. Rewatching your Resident evil series is what inspired me to pick up and start learning RE5, and in turn make my wife start to learn it for co-op but after a few runs of that I'm going to try to pick back up 7 like I did before. So not only has it kept the family together it's inspired both me and my wife to pick up more speed games :)
The first game I played on ps1 ever, so ofc it have some unforgettable memories.
Didn't know that Capcom reused sound assets for other games. The alarm that was used after the T-Rex fight was also used in the Shark area for RE1 remake.
This came before resident evil remake so remake took from them or capcom too from themselves
regina's pistol is used as one of the shotgun sounds in parasite eve.
dev of the time period probably just use common libraries
Thanks for the videos. Can’t wait for RE3 content
Love the ost of old ps1 games, so creative and full of soul
This is one of my all time favorite games, would love a remake like resident evil series. :3
