I subscribed to this channel because of last year's beerfest video. You make the best vlogs and I'm so happy you continue to share your experiences with us. Thanks!
So, I'm 20, legal drinking age in the US is 21, and this is what makes me excited to be able to drink. Not to get drunk, but to be able to spend time and make memories with good friends while trying these delicious flavors
I genuinely didn't a hear a word out of Matt's around the 11 minute mark mouth, not because I don't like him but because there was an adorable LeeLee and Adam in the background. :D Great video, Graham!
Beer nerdery to explain 11:25: The first beer that Matt had was a Russian Imperial Porter, while the beer Graham had was a Baltic Porter. Russian Imperial Porters are much heavier on the brown malt, chocolate malt, coffee malt, and are generally in the 9-13% ABV range. Baltic Porters tend to have less chocolate and coffee malts, and up the roasted barley, black malt, and sometimes biscuit malts, which will give it more of that roasted, burnt-bitter flavor. Personally I'm not a fan of sours, but in 4oz amounts, they are fine.
I'm allergic to beer (specifically hops) but not to gvlogs, so I knew I'd enjoy this video anyway. But imagine my surprise when Graham teaches me about a kind of beer that I CAN have! Excellent! Thanks, Graham!
Another fantastic beerfest vlog, thank you Graham for taking the time and effort to make it! As a beer enthusiast in the UK, I have been to, helped at, and even organised some sizeable beer festivals over here and it's fascinating to compare and contrast the GBCF with those I'm more familiar with. Also, as a fan of both dark stouts/porters and sours over lighter/hoppier beers, the selection was definitely wetting my tastebuds! Might have to look into a well-timed trip to BC...
G, I'm gonna level with you. I hate beer. I have never had one that I liked. I don't like most alcohol. This was entertaining as hell and I enjoy watching it because you enjoy the beers. :)
Oh, word! It's great seeing Beau's went out there. I remember when they had just Lug Tread (lagered ale) and Bog Water (gruit made with bog myrtle). They're absolute gems. I need to go to craft beer fests again.
aaaah! I saw one of the cans from Collective Arts that's made it into my shelf-collection, and knew where he was before he said the name of the brewery! Fun bit of new home (Toronto) colliding with old home (Victoria)!!!
I've only recently started doing the beer thing after a long number of years of really only liking liquor, and these videos give me a lot of inspiration in terms of things to try and stuff that sounds nice! I'm glad you had a good time!
I just went to my first beer walk yesterday, wish there was more than one sour as I have discovered I love sours. Great vlog as always Graham, loved the new intro as well!
For a slightly more in depth explanation of a gruit, it's specifically a blend of herbs and spices used to add flavor and preserve beer. Since most water wasn't safe to drink in Europe most people had to brew it into beer and while in cities you could have someone else do it anyone outside a city would often make their own beers with family recipes for gruits to keep the beer as long as possible. They fell out of fashion when Germany established beer laws defining what could legally go into beer, mostly because it wasn't feasible to tax people for gruits made with wild herbs. German Beer laws helped to shape most lagers now and made hops the preservation standard for all german beer, which eventually spread to most other european nations until it just sort of became the standard.
Graham, if you ever get the chance, you've got to come to Michigan for our fests or to Chicago for FOBAB (awesome sours and BBA's). Also, a vlog of you all doing a brewery hop in Victoria would be amazing.
Hey Graham, excellent vlog as always! I'm so glad you did another awesome beerfest one! I used to go to so many beerfests back in the day but now I'm in my mid 30's and have developed an intolerance to something in beer it's awesome reminisce about the good old times while living vicariously through you! Wish I could have tried those sours and porters!
I was hoping for another beerfest vlog! Bourbon barrel aged Russian imperial stout yeeees. I love stouts so that's right up my alley. I'm so glad I'm not the only person who describes a beer as "tasting like a tree." :D There's a local brewery here, Wild Woods Brewery, that has a porter that tastes like you're drinking a pine tree. It's great, but the pine taste is so strong it's hard to finish a whole pint. That is a nice color on the blueberry sour.
I love how you can tell how drunk by are based on how fast they shove their beers in each other's faces... Just waiting for someone to be like GET THE FUNNEL!
I'm glad you guys had some fun. You guys deserve it for all the joyful content you share. Also, it's kinda sad that I can't have any of these wonderful products because I've decided to not drink any alcoholic beverages. I think I would have liked the sour beers and the molasses drink.
Can we take a moment to applaud drunk (or at least getting there) Graham for actually remembering "dry hopped hazy sour double IPA" at 22:26. It must really have left an impression!
I have had Les Trois Mousquetaires Porter Baltique on my "massive dark beer list" for years, now it's just sitting there like "well, I guess I still have to try it." *Also, it's so interesting to see how beer trends ebb and flow in other countries. And the types of costumes at fests.
I don’t drink beer, but this was totally worth it for the pretzel necklaces. Also I wish I could find out for myself what some of those fruit and coffee beers tasted like, but fizzy drinks make my mouth hurt, so
It is absolutely fine for you to not want to drink these beverages, but if you do so choose a solid number of English style Ales of multiple varieties are little to no carbonation, or you can look at things like Nitro beers, which are pressurised with nitrogen instead of the standard CO2 which is normally what upsets people (though not always). As an example, a proper Guiness tap is Nitro, though I'm unsure how true that is outside the British Isles. Left Hand Brewing's Nitro Milk Stout is delicious if that;s a thing you're after, and that's America based if that's closer to where you are in the world.
Watching this from Germany, and it´s very weird, because more than half the beers in this wouldn´t be able to be sold as beers here and I wish I could try those.
27:30 That seems like a weird tactic "We'll take a bunch of our drinks you can buy anywhere, and bring em to Beefest." makes sense "We'll also bring a brand new brew, and it'll be a Beerfest exclusive!" ok, odd choice, but sure, adds up "Why is everyone ONLY wanting to get the exclusive beer they can only get here?" . . . I . . . did.... But also, if they wanted to test to see how well it was received, like before they go make a batch of it; I feel like that entire thing would only skew the numbers: "Well the new brew sold out fast!" "Sir it was the only thing exclusive, and not something they could get elsewhere-" "Another successful venture!"
Do they export their beer ? :| I'm in Quebec :( .. There's a lot of good beers in Quebec of course but the way you describe some of yours, they seem super good :)
Comments and possibly G, would you have any recommendations for beer? I've tried to get into them myself, and of the few (commercial) that I've had...have been mixed in reception. Of the ones I've had I like Blue Moon beers the best and the canned beers(Stella Artois, Michelob Ultra, Sapporo) have been my least favorites.
(Used to work at a beer store, and have been a bartender at beer bars, but not claiming to be an expert) If you are a fan of Blue Moon, I would suggest Allagash White. It's still a nice, light, wheat ale, but a little more crafty. It's a little more complex than Blue Moon, but not a big flavor bomb. Hope you like it!
Ah yes, the annual “Watch Graham and friends slowly get drunk” video.
The progressively drunk Vlog
Is best video. Much like.
hey, we get to listen to graham's sexy voice do beer reviews with friendos
The tol/smol dynamic is *v strong* in the background of a lot of these shots.
Leelee looks extra wee when she’s next to Adam and Graham
You have an INTRO!! It looks really sweet!
I subscribed to this channel because of last year's beerfest video. You make the best vlogs and I'm so happy you continue to share your experiences with us. Thanks!
Hey thanks!!
"It was very nice"
So, I'm 20, legal drinking age in the US is 21, and this is what makes me excited to be able to drink. Not to get drunk, but to be able to spend time and make memories with good friends while trying these delicious flavors
Come up to Canada, the drinking age is 19. Or 18 in Alberta and Quebec.
I genuinely didn't a hear a word out of Matt's around the 11 minute mark mouth, not because I don't like him but because there was an adorable LeeLee and Adam in the background. :D
Great video, Graham!
I don't like alcohol, but I do enjoy watching you guys try them out.
I don't even drink and I liked this video.
@@snoballuk same!

A brief video essay on the progression of drunkenness in precious Canadian bois.
I cant hear "category 12" without attaching "dooker" to the end of it.
Rewatching this now, seeing so many people in one place gives me so much anxiety
I'm allergic to beer (specifically hops) but not to gvlogs, so I knew I'd enjoy this video anyway. But imagine my surprise when Graham teaches me about a kind of beer that I CAN have! Excellent! Thanks, Graham!
My favorite thing has to be the contact juggler making sound effects 🤣🤣🤣
Ash! Haven't seen her in so long! And it's nice to actually put a face to Bradley after seeing him in comic form for so long.
Yeah, I think this is the first time I've seen him in non-comic form
not trying to be creepy but I love Ash's hair
Oh what a coincidence! I just watched the last beer fest video this afternoon. Marvelous
Watching graham get steadily more inebriated is great. I want to follow him and kathleen on a wine country crawl.
Ah yes, crowlers have really become a thing around where I am.
Also, Graham and I seemingly have similar taste in beer.
I can't drink anymore on account of my garbage organs, so I'm gonna have to live vicariously through this video.
Another fantastic beerfest vlog, thank you Graham for taking the time and effort to make it! Yay Beerfest Blog! Great suggestions last year as I moved into Vancouver, and a lot of great suggestions on sours and porters this year too. :)
G, I'm gonna level with you. I hate beer. I have never had one that I liked. I don't like most alcohol.
This was entertaining as hell and I enjoy watching it because you enjoy the beers. :)
I love watching all the people in the background who go from normal to silly once they figure out that they are on camera.
I was convinced halfway through we were going to see 'Little Graham'. Good job Sober Graham edited this!
Despite my state while filming, my gentleman’s area wasn’t even committed to record
The branding roll foot collage was accurate to your vlog brand. :)
Also, I enjoyed this video, despite the fact that I don't drink beer.
Man, I'm jealous that Canadian rains seem so light and nice to be out in when Florida rains are literally all terrible all the time.
I would love a series of videos of drunk Graham interacting with other drunk people!!!!
Oh, word! It's great seeing Beau's went out there. I remember when they had just Lug Tread (lagered ale) and Bog Water (gruit made with bog myrtle). They're absolute gems. I need to go to craft beer fests again.

I didn't know this channel needed an intro, but now that I've seen it, yeah, it's a good one.
I've only recently started doing the beer thing after a long number of years of really only liking liquor, and these videos give me a lot of inspiration in terms of things to try and stuff that sounds nice! I'm glad you had a good time!
i have to say since last year and him trying all the sours they have become my fav beer so thank you graham for showing me the light.
The vlog channel has a dedicated intro now! and it is GLORIOUS!
Sweet intro, Graham. Thanks for the annual "Graham gets gradually more tipsy" Vlog. Apreciate your stuff.
I just went to my first beer walk yesterday, wish there was more than one sour as I have discovered I love sours. Great vlog as always Graham, loved the new intro as well!

username checks out. Thank you for that info!
Graham, I like your vlogs. Thanks for doing another one!
I don't really like beer, but this looks like a lot of fun. Glad I could vicariously enjoy it!
I don't actually drink beer, but I have enjoyed the Beerfest vlogs immensely.
That intro my dude. 👏👏👏
The montage of your feet was a lovely touch.
Love this vlog! Someday I will have to make the trip across country!
Graham, if you ever get the chance, you've got to come to Michigan for our fests or to Chicago for FOBAB (awesome sours and BBA's). Also, a vlog of you all doing a brewery hop in Victoria would be amazing.

I love the new intro!
I'm watching this while drinking
I love how you can tell how drunk by are based on how fast they shove their beers in each other's faces... Just waiting for someone to be like GET THE FUNNEL!
We seem to have similar tastes in beers (porters, stouts, wheats, and sours) and I too am thrilled by the proliferation of sours.
I'm glad you guys had some fun. You guys deserve it for all the joyful content you share. Also, it's kinda sad that I can't have any of these wonderful products because I've decided to not drink any alcoholic beverages. I think I would have liked the sour beers and the molasses drink.

Adam swaying at the end while walking is a mood.
The beerfest vlog was great this year and last yr!
Excellent fare!
Also I really need that blueberry sour in my life. Or _a_ blueberry sour. I'm not that picky.
Yo Graham, has anyone come up to you and say
"i don't feel so good Mr Stark"
I am jealous of all the sours and gose you tried! Also had no real idea how "gose" was pronounced before this. I just enjoyed them :)
I neither drink beer nor watch vlogs.
Yet here I am watching a vlog about drinking beer.
I want to travel to Canada just for this beerfest. All the flavours, hop humping tastebuds everywhere.
An intro! Really nice Graham!
Dang, i wanna fly up to canada just to attend this beerfest. I love sour beers so much!
I have had Les Trois Mousquetaires Porter Baltique on my "massive dark beer list" for years, now it's just sitting there like "well, I guess I still have to try it." *Also, it's so interesting to see how beer trends ebb and flow in other countries. And the types of costumes at fests.

Loved the vlog! I need to look and see if there are any beerfest-type activities near me. I do live in "beer city" after all.
Free bus ticket. That's fantastic.
Hey, there should be no shame that PoGo is your first Pokémon game! As a massive Pokémon nerd I’m happy it’s your gateway drug :D
Anyone else who has watched every single vlog on this channel? (A lot, I'm guessing)
i had to watch this twice because i got distracted by the people behind Graham
Watching this from Germany, and it´s very weird, because more than half the beers in this wouldn´t be able to be sold as beers here and I wish I could try those.
10:47 background LeeLee making faces... We see you, ma'am! 😂
im gonna drink a bottle now...
im drooling!!!
I do not drink beer, but that looked like a lot of fun.
I say unto you in the words of Matt Wiggins. "Nice" (but actually, these vlogs are amazing :) )
3:44 it's a big burly boi!
If you would ever be in the Netherlands. I would love to have you try some traditional beers from Belgium, Germany and ofcourse the Netherlands
I feel you didn't get AS drunk as last year. The rain possibly helped? (Does not know how intoxication works)
Love the intro!!
Every time someone says "salty and sweet" about a beer, my teetotaler ass gets a jonesing for chocolate caramel pretzels
The intro is sweet! :D
It's okay Matt, Nice just means "a Pint would work for this." Also Quart cans are a thing for Micros in the Greater Seattle area.
*hobbit voice* It comes in quarts??
Watching this in 2021. Watching everyone drink after each other is so worrying lol
I get so hyped evrytime i see a vlog from g
Hey! :D The G-Vlogs have an intro now! That's cool :)
So the 2019 beer fest will be released soon? And we can expect the 2020 one in the near future?
Probably not the 2020 one any time soon :(
Porta potty for line, free bus tickets on entry, later on 10 tokens on entry
Its got it all!
Beer Fest has a good understanding on how to run things
Yay, another Beerfest vlog! And I don't even drink beer.
Yes let's all watch Graham and crew get drunk XD
I was quite dismayed when a wild Adam appeared and did not immediately offer the traditional greeting of "We're here!!"
27:30
That seems like a weird tactic
"We'll take a bunch of our drinks you can buy anywhere, and bring em to Beefest." makes sense
"We'll also bring a brand new brew, and it'll be a Beerfest exclusive!" ok, odd choice, but sure, adds up

"Well the new brew sold out fast!"
"Sir it was the only thing exclusive, and not something they could get elsewhere-"
"Another successful venture!"
that was lovely.
That intro is very good
5:19 "That's *terrible*, and I want it" is my phrase for that
I, do not drink beer.
I still enjoyed that vlog.
Oh man the people in the background are hilarious.
Wait, I'm a Belgian Blonde... *blush*
What a nice video.
Do they export their beer ? :| I'm in Quebec :( .. There's a lot of good beers in Quebec of course but the way you describe some of yours, they seem super good :)
I wonder if that raccoon in the first floor made it through covid. IanLafTracc, obviously, will be fine.
Inb4 "Why new comment on 2018 beer fest?" Because UA-cam won't stop suggesting it to me.
I said it last year, and I'll say it again. Drunk Graham is best Graham.
I doubt any of this will ever be relevant to me, but it was very entertaining.
And I want to know how everyone's mon-poking turned out.
Comments and possibly G, would you have any recommendations for beer? I've tried to get into them myself, and of the few (commercial) that I've had...have been mixed in reception.
