Ahoy my friends! So today I will be doing a Banner Review | To Pull OR Not To Pull Video covering the new Sephiroth Featured Draw alongside Red XIII's stellar new weapon, the Silver Collar. Both of these weapons are INCREDIBLE, with Red's being perfect SSS tier, but the question remains . . . is it really worth going in on these with a Crossover likely just around the corner!? With the increase of Imperil weapons that Red XIIIs been getting I'm low-key wishing I went for his Canyon Costume, ofc can buff it with the proper r. ability sub-weps but do hope in the future he gets a full on buff/debuff extension costume as that one was debuff only. But with 3 collars, he's got 5 elements covered and we still need an earth imperil. I do think you're right that something big is on the horizon, it seems that every 3 months, roughly, we get something limited whether it's another fes/limit break draw or collab is up in the air. We are about 6 weeks away from Dawntrail expansion for XIV, some XIV costumes (either Job gear or Scion costumes) would be neat.
Well i dont think we'll be able to WL those weapons unless it's a LB draw banner, which i think will only happen again on the 1st anniversary and following anni's. I think the next limited will be a crossover limited.
For me I have all the half anniversary weapons at OB6, been using those weapons for everything and everything has been going smoothly for me, so I've just been saving. For me Crossover, Anniversary, and Limit break banners are the banners to pull on.
One thing to consider for those waiting for an arcanum and don’t yet have anything for wind is that we’ve gotten a lot of wind banners recently so who knows when they’ll start cycling through them again. And also, the previous Seph wind mastery has gotten me through all wind content without any of the arcanums. For one reason or another, I haven’t pulled them but I thought it was worth mentioning.
The only downside to Reds new weapon is I already have floral wand and black whiskers ob6+ for wind and water resist down, but even then it’s still moving to the top of my wishlist the next time I can pull for it. For me personally mastery outfits on one of my favorite characters are worth way more than an arcanum on someone I’m not a big fan of. As a sephiroth fan if I didn’t have the Halloween costume already I’d absolutely pull for this costume. He’s already had 2 wind mastery outfits now, so the odds of him getting a wind arcanum anytime over the next year are near 0. Someone else will get a wind arcanum, but what are the odds it’s someone I like and want to use more than seph? If I just wanted to use the strongest of the strongest I’d only pull for arcanum’s, but that’s also a hard mindset to go into with a gacha in general since you then feel like you have to pull for everything new and shiny.
I honestly think the odds of him getting an Arcanum are even higher now. So many people run Wind Seph, and that would be the icing on the cake. I have the Mastery and i know a lot of people who do, but i would def pull for a Wind Arcanum for him just because hes so setup already in the element.
Great video! as much as I was confused that Seph got another Wind mastery so much I was happy bc that's an easy skip for me. Weapons on another hand are absolutely fantastic, Im definetly gonna wishlist the hell out them! and skin for Sephiroth for me like 3 out of 5. This is the biggest troll banner lol. Everyone was expecting lightning arcanum sephiroth but they dropped a costume which is almost direct copy of the past one. Glad I pulled for earth yuffie instead and considering Matt depending if crossover is coming end of the month. I don’t have wind costume for seph and dark heavens only ob1. I use motor drive ob10 instead but no wind costume for tifa…
Hahaha yeah i feel it. The weapons, well Red’s, is insane. But the costume is a serious letdown especially considering how badass it looks. Earth Yuffie is a win 💯🙏🏽🔥
good analysis, love the sentiment at the end about looking forward to teaming with cool-looking Sephiroths in co-op after this banner! i agree, the costume looks fantastic. i’m one of those players you addressed who has Dark Heavens at OB6 without a wind mastery, but i still consider it an easy decision to skip this banner. i will either pull on Yuffie or keep saving.
@@BodhiJMSRyder that’s part of it, but also ever since i got my OB6 protector’s blade it feels like i’m missing out when i set up Sephiroth for PATK rather than MATK.
@TeamSteelSky nah you’re not, Protector’s blade isnt as effective in certain content. For example it was unuseable in the earth trial of battle ranking
i dont have any costumes so i went for matt and seph's (since i have dark heavens at ob3) got both of their weapons and costumes at 21k crystals each. so that's 42k crystals. i got lucky enough that i got the shinra military weapon at ob2. which left me 9k+ crystals. time for me to save up 💃
I'm going to wait for a uniform so Glenn can get over that monster, it's complicated because every surprise that appears in story mode makes me even confused 😂😂😂😂
2 problems for me, the weapons look great for some people, really happy with them as it's the first all heal on red 13 and interesting stuff for sephiroth (multiple buffs and works well with floral wand for aerith) but myself I have already summoned for diner plate on yuffie for the wind arcanum. It would be hard to summon for this and for sephiroths other wind weapon (necessary to make it really worth it) as that's two weapons you need to make him reach his potential. Bit rough and doesn't seem like I'll want to risk the crystals at this point. As there's not enough to roll on all banners and it's definitely stepping on the feet of my other wind users (ob 6 falchion for zack, ob 6 wind gloves for tifa, ob 2 diner plate atm but wishlisting it for future) that is just a fresh hill to climb compared to easier choices. It having the same wind damage as the previous sephiroth costume is surely a bit of a bummer for those that pulled on that one already as this now doesn't add anything much if you roll to costume. I do see it being a pretty awesome weapon for anyone who already has the wind costume and weapon of sephiroth though. As for Red XIII they made a cool weapon for him, can be used in more than one situation and an all heal. Pretty slick, but no costume? Makes that one something you just want to wishlist as there's no benefit to rolling now vs rolling any time on a wishlist (and having the opportunity to get other weapons / costumes). For me personally they are both great weapons and could be wishlisted for anyone investing in these characters but I find the Matt and Yuffie banner much more useful. It's not phenomenally better, it's just much more useful in that you can get 2 costumes, they matt weapon can be used in almost any hard fights and the Yuffie one gets you the arcanum costume and a weapon with 850% max damage and 1.2x damage when above a 70% hp on a very rare element. They're both good banners but I'd definitely wishlist the wind stuff and pull on the other one.
Wait, do you already have Yuffie's Wind Arcanum costume? If you do, i highly recommend skipping this banner. Wishlist Seph's weapon later on, but having already a Physical Wind Arcanum and getting a Mastery on top of that doesn't make a lot of sense. Save for a Magic Wind Arcanum now and definitely wishlist these 2 weapons later on. And yeah, the Matt/Yuffie banner is better to pull on but for both i recommend waiting to see what comes next.
I do need a wind costume for sephiroth but I don't use his wind weapon much and it's not even ob6 yet. I'll go for Matt since I don't have a costume for him yet and it will be useful in any battle.

Waited until yesterday and it took 7 pulls to get to Matt's costume, and every one included a 5 star that wasn't guaranteed. two copies of both banner weapons. unfortunately no wish listed floral wand but I did get an umbrella instead so it wasn't a total bummer. first time i've gotten 7 hits in a row on a banner. No EX3 for me but I was still carried for crash so I didn't miss out on much.
Hi! Asking as a newbie player with a fresh account with only 15k crystal should I be pulling on featured banners or should I just focus on the regular banner that doesn't expire. I don't think I even have enough to guarantee pity on the custom before it ends.
Crossovers are overrated. Most of the weapons aren't useable unless you have them at least OB6. Getting cortumes like Matt or universal weapons like Red's is worth more than an OB1 Amarant Claws or Tifas Guide Gloves. Have both at OB6 and still don't use her because Zack is a better DPS with OB10 Ceremonial.
Yeah this can be true. But i wanna point out that no one should be going for a crossover banner weapon that needs OB6 with only enough crystals to OB1 the weapon. Thats just wasteful imo. But then there are things like Kuja Spirit Blade which i found to be very helpful even below OB6 and also Garnet’s Rod which was perfectly fine at OB1 or even Base 5*. I think imo its better to be prepared than unprepared and considering weapons like Zack’s sword are wishlistable, its easier to skip unless the costume is incredible. So for me, id rather not be caught high and dry and miss out on a weapon that will never be wishlistable. But yeah i see why you feel the way you do. Tho i have a feeling next XO will introduce a new mechanic. I dont pull on those Limited things unless i can basically assure myself of OB4. 400 specific parts is doable. Hmmm…..I guess you can say they are different characters, because one is good (YS). That we have now, and the other is evil (AS).. but I think we should get the evil AS too as a stand alone toon. Great idea…..AS or evil Sephiroth will get the gear of the 1 winged angel. Yes….yes……give us Evil adult Sephiroth as his own character
So red x has 5 debuffs elemental weapons, lightning too, just needs earth. Then you have Matt , Red x and Aerith as healer. I love Matt over all, but red x is second best for me. Aerith with the 2 healing LB is great for if you need that double heal. All you need is Dgs. So redx ( debuff/healer). Matt, ( healer/ buffer/dps). Any dps in last slot.
i skip but just one fact.. they add x9 or x12 stamina feature but the stamina giving at day is the same of old QOL ... this create again an issue for all players base and i m not the only one thinking this i heard I have One simple solution to this.. take out the expired date of stamina in gift box and increase the stamina rate giving at day....
@@BodhiJMSRyder at least the remove at expired date maybe can help but for sure don t solve the situation for who start the game later just for normally play the event (without counting the summon in the equation) or for who don t buy the stamina pass.. dunno what can be the real fix

Easy skip for me. I already got Yuffie's outfit and her weapon to 8 stars at the same time. So yeah, I'll keep my 25k gems for a future banner.
