I used to think I need to pull and build more weapon with different elements to defeats certain enemies. I didn't know there's also clever way like this. You've earned new subscribers 🎉.

I use the setup you describe for Glenn except lampost instead of ultimatic this way I can get phy attack to level 7 (only level 6 without it, black whisker and maritime are not maxed yet) and I boost my attack first and when cmd gau is full glen hits for 80K on the new boss without any debuffs and 120k with def down. Probably 150k if i pair with a zack sometimes lol.
I would really like to recommend everyone who doesnt care about ranking to focus first on getting assault gun/ mdef high pot weapon to OB6. It will make your life A LOT easier in the long run. I beat ifrit/bahamut ex2 yesterday but it would be a hell of a lot easier had i OB6 them! (Centipede is a good option too once its wishlistable)
Anyone have a better method of making gil? I'm constantly broke from weapon upgrades... and best method seems to just keep doing the current event and trading for gil, but not very efficient...
I always tell people auto battle and best equip will carry you through most of your content especially from starting fresh to upper mids/high low content. But once you hit high content you have to stop relying on best equip and start auto battling less
i tried rerolling and i got cloud's banner weapon + ice gloves for tifa then i am planning on getting fairy tale on the free exchange weap. is this team good enough to advance through the story? thanks!
Hey man, just started playing this, is there any point doing any pulls from the get go? Or should I atleast play the game before deciding what to pull for? I literally just got out of tutorial and I’m a F2P player
Yea pulls from the start help with clearing harder content sooner. Especially these banners that are on now. Focus on one of the 6 month anniversary banners if you can and pull all 3 pages to get the guaranteed weapons. So either choose Cloud Glenn banner or the Zack Sephiroth banner. Change the stamp card to only 1 characters weapons so you can grab 7 copies asap.
What if you’re not a new player but you want to pull for Cloud’s ice arcanum? How many copies of the weapon (minimum) should you want in order to make the weapon relevant and viable? And should you get one copy of Glenn’s as well?
Yes get at least one copy of Glenn so you can put it on a seperate character for 14% boost. I would aim for OB6 so you can get that huge Ice potency hit on the c ability. Then weapon part the rest. If you have the resources grab more so you can get closer to OB10 but not necessary.

22:50 you only get half the point so it would be level 3, 30% physical ability, still better than silver staff because of the stats of the weapon

We also want to diversify stats because of diminishing returns and to maximise the return on R Abilities vs flat stat points, sounds complicated
