- Shopping spree at Galle Face, Colombo is a video in Sri Lanka's capital where I cross the street from my hotel Shangri-La to walk along the coast. In this video we bought some Sri Lankan street food, Sri Lankan barbecue, Sri Lankan snacks, roti and I also bought toys from the famous toys sellers at the coas and then gave them away to some kids.

Also Sri Lankans aren't really coffee drinkers, we just like to flavour our milk or water with a smattering of coffee powder. 😂 So unless you go into an upmarket café or a specialized coffee shop you are highly unlikely to find good coffee here.

What a beautiful city, what a unique city .Videos of Colombo always makes me go down memory lane and they are filled with golden memories. Never can I forget the day I had 4 aleric's cone ice-creams at galle face while walking along the beach front ,from galle face hotel end to the other end with a great friend of mine. I think there were 4 ice-cream vans on that day. The vans were parked near the main road and we were walking along the beach. Every time we finished the cone icecream we would walk to the road end buy another cone then walk back to the beach side ...we did it 4 times..when I watch videos of colombo I always remember the words from a book i read..a book written by Jack Higgins ( The title ,The testament of caspar Schultz )...it happened a long time ago and it happened in another country. Thank you Gladys for the fantastic video and I am a big fan of Chris also. Thanks.
