GOATED GUIDE! This is the ONLY guide that was able to help me, just did Keyes Bump for my first time ever and even though it was a little sloppy I got a 3:22 which blows my old 16:07 out of the water! THANK YOU SO MUCH
It's working with controllers. Let the left stick up, stay on "yes", hit quickly 3 or 4 times A and then Y to cut the cutscene. Worked with an orange grunt.
Spend a few hours on it and there’s two things I have a problem with this. 1. Charging the plasma shot does not injure him and 2 even when I do get it to work it pushes me out of bounds.
@@Soldier12695gaming 1. If he doesn't fall down from the shot, then that means you didn't get the manipulation correctly. It won't be a receiver. That is an instant reset. See my other replies about another way to guarantee the setup. 2. If you get pushed out of bounds, that means you are knocking him down in the wrong spot or you are standing in the wrong spot.
I did it less than a week ago multiple times back to back. You're not getting the right frame. Try the pause buffer method. 1. Hold escape and start after loading in 2. Keep holding escape and start, and restart mission. 3. You'll instant pause again. Then there's a revert checkpoint button available. Let go of escape and do that option while holding forward. That guarantees the proper tick.

NOTES: 1. If you jump when restarting the mission, you were mashing space too slowly. If you just get the cutscene, you mashed it too quickly. 2. If you don't get pushed through the wall, it means you need to change your positioning on the dead body or maybe you knocked it down too far away from the wall. You can try closer to the splotch instead of the gray line, but don't go too far or the trick will not work. 3. Make sure you hit the checkpoints after the bump. The rest of the level you continue as normal. I would recommend killing all the A-pose enemies and taking the plasma grenades. Swap the AR for the Shotgun. 4. This works on all versions of the game though skipping the cutscene is very precise on all older versions of Halo CE. 5. The plasma pistol overcharge is amazing for running by all the elites. You can finish the level under 2 minutes this way. EDIT: Co-Op NOTES (copied from HaloRuns Discord): Player 2 (non-host) starts holding W and SPACE. Keep holding until the manip is completed. Player 1 (host) restarts the level. Player 2 continues holding W and SPACE. Player 1 opens the menu again to restart the level stopping at the Yes/No option. Hold ESC, W, and SPACE. CLICK Yes then a split second later release ESC and SPACE, still holding W. If you jump the manip is messed up and you need to start over. Player 1 holds W down the entire hallway without pressing any other keys or moving the mouse. Player 2 holds W and SPACE until jumping twice, then releases SPACE while still holding W. Once you see the grunt the manip is over and you can play normally. You MUST restart level twice to do the manip because Player 2 can carry over momentum from the previous restart that will mess up the manip.
Question… do the graphics HAVE to be stuttery / laggy to know the manipulation worked? Every time I’ve tried the graphics have stayed smooth. Thanks for the video!
The Flood enemy bumps you through the wall at the start when it revives. It skips the entire level. The trick makes it a guaranteed reviver (makes it stand back up to push you through the wall, otherwise it just stays dead and you have to restart the level). The rest of the video is about where you should be positioned for it to bump you through the wall since it's a little precise.
Worked, playing on X series. My issue is that after i kill every enemy and get close to Keyes, flood come to the room at the same time cutscene still running then after ends i have lots of enemys already waiting xD
Do whatever works best for you! This is the method I've always used. I use the plasma pistol all the way to the end too whereas most runners drop it for the shotgun
@@EdrianPelicano-h4z It does! The lineup might be a little different for the clip through the wall depending on the aspect ratio you are playing at. When playing 16:9, it stretches your cross hair unless you are using the Chimera mod.
I think i might be doing something wrong. My select on controller is A but skip cutscene is Y. Does that matter? I hold left stick up and smash A 4 times but nothing happens. I assume i need to press A mash Y instead?
Interestingly, it seems to have worked, not sure. But I got it not only to be a revivor but but somehow I manipulated a second checkpoint on the way to the bump spot the flood was too far behind and I think the door closed on it as the flood was chasing me and it triggered the checkpoint or that i got far enough away after door closed and then reopened when the flood tried to run away but the flood still chased me as I fired near it and then brought it to the spot. After 3 tried revive attempts and revert to last checkpoint I got the bump to work. Idk how I did that or if it even worked or if it was just a normal flood and different reverts swapped it out with the right one but it was awesome 👌 😅 😂
Like when you shoot it, it bounces off to the right? Try aiming for the top of the head. You can also kill it by just tap firing with the AR which will also cause it to fall backwards. If it helps, the scratch I line up with at 2:12, try going to the right of it very slightly. I found that works a bit better as a lineup.
I'm trying to do it, but the flood form keeps falling too far under the wreckage for me to get on his head. Hes also not dying in one charged shot, am i missing something?
If it doesn't fall after 1 overcharge shot, then it is not a reviver and you must restart the mission. If it is too close to the wall, your lineup of where it chases you is the problem. Line up with the wall scratch or slightly to the right of it before strafing around the flood and overcharging it. At the beginning of the lure, make sure you are far enough away and are walking down the middle of the hallway and then go to the scratch. That makes the flood run close to the wall so you can strafe around it easily.
@@randomstuffforfunny It means you aren't manipulating the reviver properly. There is another method I've posted in the comments to make it easier. Try that! Look at the responses of people having the same question as you.
I have tried 207 times, of those 207 times only 4 have been revivers. I have done everything to the exact pixel including restarting my damn game. Is my luck really just that shit?
The issue is likely you aren't skipping the cutscene on frame 1. I am not sure why, but MCC has been less consistent with that on anniversary graphics since a few updates from after I made this video. If you can skip the cutscene on classic graphics without jumping, it's completely consistent. Alternate method: Load into the level after you gain control of Chief. Hold escape and spacebar after pausing. Click on restart level and keep holding escape + spacebar. When you hit yes, the game will black screen and you will be paused. Hit restart level again while still holding escape and spacebar. This time, there is a revert checkpoint in the next pause menu. Just hold W and click on yes from revert and that should be frame 1.
