When I was a kid I begged my parents to let me order it as an appetizer (bc of the movie Pretty Woman) & it was awful, texture & taste--- but they forced me to eat it all. I have had escargot once a very long time ago. All I could taste was the cheese and garlic butter. Like you, I am glad to say I have tried it, but I won't go out of my way to eat it again.

Haha as a kid me and my brother would be scared of the wooden spoon! “No beat da butt da boon” my grandma would tap our diapers with it when we were bad but the sound of it hitting the diaper is what scared us not that we ever felt it 😂😂

For me escargot = I will eat absolutely anything with garlic butter. Actually love the texture, but I’m a mushroom person - similar, but chewier, which works for me.
Love a B&B, but with coffee? Great idea. Would have that for dessert ;)

My grandfather and grandmother will use the flip-flops not the wooden spoons. They would throw the flip-flops a mile away and it actually will hit you like a bullseye lol 😂

On the French dessert. The three little white cookies are actually meringue kisses normally flavor in a french vanilla or a lemon or any flavor you want now in America those meringue kisses are made with chocolate chips inside. But in France it's very plain.
