I am so thankful to stumble across your UA-cam video yesterday. This morning, up on waking, I prayed the Shama, first, then Pater Noster, and the Angelus. For the first time this morning, following 4 spine surgeries over 9.5 years, I was able to physically kneel through the morning Low Mass. Deo Gratias..... The only thing different this morning, was adding the Shema to my morning prayers
That was very good. I would love for you to put one of the whole Shema on Hebrew and English and show us in prayer book the transliteration of Hebrew to English where we can say it and read it with you. I am from Alabama, USA. We love the Jewish people. I am tring to learn all of this Shema prayer. Today there was a worldwide prayer the Jews were praying for Messiah to come. O joined with yall and also prayed thos Shema and blew the shofar. Shalom
This video is what inspired me to learn Hebrew. I've been working for a few weeks on it and now that I can recognize and pronounce the consonants and vowel markings, I revisited this video to practice writing the Shema. Now I want to learn to sing it as well! Scripture is so beautiful, especially in its original language.
If someone could share what style/tradition of voice that second one came from, I would much appreciate it. I tried searching and couldn't find that tune. I love it!
Shalom It’s 2023 and your video still makes an impact. I often return to it to review the two versions of the Shema! Thank You for you good works May HaShem always bless you!
Omg! I'm so happy I stumbled into your video. I am actually a Catholic exploring Jewish culture, traditions and beliefs. I usually call God Yahweh and Adonai interchangeably
Hi my name is Amber I just found your channel, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. While I am not jewish by blood I follow the torah to the best of my abilities and believe I am grafted into Yisra' el. Thank you for having this channel you did a beautiful job singing the Sh'ma. I try to sing this everyday when I wake up I find it absolutely beautiful and a wonderful way to start out my mornings on the right foot. May Hashem bless you!
Wow, you surprised us with the Shema chanting. As a musician myself, I don't think that was bad at all! That was amazing! I kind of like that second (unknown community) version though, it sounded like it could transport me to the Holy Land 😅🤩🥰
I was attending a Christian church ( which was the 6th church I’ve attended in search for the truth ) I kept coming out empty like I felt that something was missing. I kept praying to Elohim to please lead me to the right congregation, I kept pleading with Him to please show me the truth. And my answer finally came. About 3 weeks ago I had a dream that I was part of a Jewish family. I didn’t understand the dream at first. About 1 week after the dream I started searching ( Messianic Jewish churches, mind you out of nowhere! ) I found one, attended the Shabbat service and my life hasn’t been the same! I can’t even begin to explain how CLOSE I feel to the LORD! I stopped reading the KJV and NIV bibles and began reading the CJB and man! Things are starting to make sense! I’ve learned so much from your videos lol I’ve binge watched! GLORY TO THE MOST HIGH!!
I was looking for something like the second version of Shema, and now I found it! Thank you, very much! Be sure that from this day on that version of Shema will be used in my family in Russia every morning and every evening! I love it! I will use it! I will share it! Thank you so much!
Thank for sharing the Shema and the underlying scriptural significance. I was blessed. I had to sing along. May Elohim continue to protect His people who have followed the Torah for over 3,000 years. May it be God will to protect Rebbe Dovid Weiss as he proclaims the righteous of Adonia, Amen.
I have heard ashkenazi and that is how I have learned it but after hearing the unknown origin version I much prefer that... would love if you just dropped a 30 second video of that second one
I am gratified to learn about Jewish foundations in so much of my Catholic faith from you. I've shown some of your videos in my Bible study. What you do helps me understand and appreciate the historical Jewish Yehshua.
I am a Christian and in the lockdown the spirit of God told me to pray the Jewish creed. In the morning and evening. I had no idea wat it meant so we ask a Jewish friend in Israel wat it means. So he told us it's the shama. It must be n very important prayer if He told me a jentile to pray it!!!!. Since then I have been studying it in Hebrew I am actually Afrikaans speaking. I have listened to many versions of people singing the shama. You're voice is beautiful to listen to. Never ever say you haven't a beautiful voice. ABBA has blessed you with one!!! Shalom
I just love how beautiful the Jewish or Hebrew way of worshiping God is. The Shema song is beautiful. I’m familiar with the Ashkenazi Jewish way of singing it and I like that as well as the other one you sang. Praise Adonai
Very informative and encouraging. We pray the Shema at 9, noon and 3, how powerful, that the prayers of the faithful rise to the throne of the Most High 24 hours a day from across the world. May your names be written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
I learned this 4 months ago my pastor wanted me to say it to the church I was so nervous but I felt great saying it. But the shema prayers I learned was to love God with all of your Heart, soul and might from Deuteronomy 6:4-5 yours I never heard before.
Great presentation! I love your favorite song version too. 😃. And by the way, you have a very good voice who are you kidding? I bet 3 years since, you must song even better! Gonna check your channel. 😊
I'm christian(hoe you dont mind), and i send my son to a church-run school that teaches Sh'ma. My little son recites Sh'ma in Hebrew, but he mumbles I can't make out what he was saying and wanted to hear the authentic pronunciation and that's how ran into your video. Loved your singing, and what surprised me was how you pronunced Yisrael, because it sounded exactly like how Koreans say the word. :)
Hi I just found this today at a time when I needed to see it. I've heard both versions, but I was not raised Jewish. In fact I was adopted from Colombia and raised Catholic. Around my teenage years I on my own accord began to study the Christian bible. After much study and many years, I came to question the legitimacy of Saul aka Paul. I was living near a Shul in NYC and spoke with the Rabbi. Eventually I emailed him and asked permission to attend on Friday evening right before Shabbat. They said the page numbers in English so I could follow. I always struck up conversations with the fellas I might see outside of different Yeshivas. I had already had it in my mind that I wanted to convert, but I wanted to study more unguided. I asked some Rabbis on the subject way if the Babylonian Talmud had the Mishna and Gemara recalling the debates about them in Yental. My mother also worked at a Temple Emmanuel in Long Island so I remember seeing texts and Dreidel when I was young as she worked with kids and he friend who was Jewish got her the job because they had worked together at a non Jewish run private school with kids and a day camp. Then I got a Revelation. I did my DNA last year and found the Ashkanazi gene. Though not much, it meant everything to me.
Shalom brother which is the Book that you read ? would you help me please I'm looking for one with the transliteration either English or Spanish thank you you are a great singer.
The second version is my favorite! Beautiful! But I'm a bit confused because I read elsewhere that you cover your face with the right hand and not with the left. Can someone help me out here?
Shalom my brother. Peace be upon you in the name yeshua Jesus 🙏, where do you get your Bible from? I have the king james version. Please keep me posted. Shalom
I would love to know which prayer book you are reading from. I still can’t read the symbols but really appreciate the written out words of the Hebrew text
Where did you hear the second version? All the trope trainer resources I have use traditional Ashkenazi melodies. I would love to do a Torah reading at Shul and someday be able to bust out melodies like that.
Dear brother, My wife and I are learning Hebrew. The Shema is a natural start. Thank you for the clear explanation. I have questions: 1. About the " בָּרוּךְ שֵׁם כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד " part. Dis you say that the sages said they hear it from the angels, from the Malakim (מָלָכִם). 2. Is my guess spelling of Malakim (מָלָכִם) correct? What is the Malakim? I also have a wish: I hope that you chant the long version in both tunes as well. בָּרוּךְ שֵׁם כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד
Another wish yet: If you put subtitles (Hebrew, English, 中文), it would be super! (BTW We are studying Hebrew by ourselves, with whatever resource we can find on the Web. So, your work is much appreciated along with many others.)
Amazing, brother I am starting to learn Hebrew. I would like know what version of the Bible you got. It has the Hebrew, English and the transliteration. Please help me. Thanks.
The Ashkenazi and Sephardic chant melodies differ just as chant melodies amongst Eastern Rite Catholics differ (I prefer the Ruthenian chants bc that's what I'm used to!)
@Messianic Me TV: I wanted to tell you that you have an amazingly beautiful voice given to you by Ha Shem. I just came across your channel via the "recommended feed," and feel blessed in meeting you. Shalom

HALLELUYAH!
Hearing a whisper from heaven just has to be beautiful… the floating of the sounds of your second version takes me to dance of Holy land resonance.
Beautiful! I love how you sing but especially your veneration. I’m Catholic but pray the Shema daily as Jesus Christ did.🙏
why would you do as Jesus did he was not a Christian, he was an orthodox Jew

Thanks!
You bet! Thank you for your support and the kind gift. May the Almighty multiply your kindness 7 fold.
Bro, after that you can never say you’re not a good singer again. That was over the top good.
J-MO hahaha. Blessings to you and glory to the Most High. Thanks (but I still feel less than good at it)
Pls, explan more,
Pls, explained, more and tell the meaning of words
That was very good. I would love for you to put one of the whole Shema on Hebrew and English and show us in prayer book the transliteration of Hebrew to English where we can say it and read it with you.

This video has the information I was seeking, the pronunciation and explanation of the Baruch Shem. Thank you sir. Liked/subbed.
That last version (with unknown origin) was just beautiful.
Sheldon Sawyer shalom! Thank you. Glory to Elohim.
It has an Arabic sound, could be Sephardic as the Jews in Spain were at first under Moorish rule, so that influence would be there.
If someone could share what style/tradition of voice that second one came from, I would much appreciate it. I tried searching and couldn't find that tune. I love it!

Thank you, the first version I learned way back in 1991 when I was in Philadelphia with my Jewish friends. I have it all memorized in my heart.
Shalom
Me too in grade school
This is the first time i have heard the Shema sung this way and the joy in my heart is almost unbearable.

Byzantine
What is the second style called or whare was it from? Thank you
Pls could you recommend prayer books for new messianics coming into faith? I need a Jewish prayer book but something messianic
Absolutely, I used 2. One (my main one) is "Messianic Siddur for Shabbat" by Daniel Peres. The other is "The Sabbath Table" by Vine of David.
Messianic Me TV will check them out on Amazon. Many thanks
I think the last one is sefardic way of singing it out. Beautiful🤗😃

What siddur do you have if you don’t mind me asking
Not a great singer? Have you heard your voice?... truly a gift from God.
Do you have the Lord's Prayer.
Question what Sidur are you using to read the shema
I just subscribed you. Please do more and teach us. I love Israel.
So grateful for this!
Where can I get your bible?

Me too... We all do. But that is what I love about this walk :) Shalom

what kind of heb bible do you use. Can you give me name or link ?
What prayer book were you using?
Yemini. Perhaps? O you ...you sing Beautifully. You sing so well.
Wonderfully Sung 🥰
The second version, it seems a sort of yemenite chant... So, a very very ancient Jewish way, like the style of Ofra Haza who was yemenite
