I think he personally said (or the FA director) that was a request he made to them since it gives him more of a break and more time to prepare. He also can play offensive when he wants to (Dortmund for example where he came third but outscored Bayern who won) so it just depends on who he has got and who he is facing which seems perfect for us. Personally, I am fine with it as I grew up during the Sven era so I couldn't care less but we should be trying to make the FA accountable (laughable I know) and fix the issues with how we are training our coaches (like the amount of money it costs to get your license) etc rather than these stupid headlines.

pep and carlo said no. The united job will be up for jan. the FA have actually done a brilliant bit of dealing for 18 month contract.. best option to take the players to the next level. England have the tools. we just need the right mechanic
It’s unfair to criticize to Tuchel for not liking young players . He gave chalobah his debut even in super cup. He gave odoi chances but the guy was not up for the challenge. At the time he could field a team with mount, james, chalobah, odoi and Loftus cheeck but cfc fans are always quick to forget . Even pep and klopp at time only gave playing time to only anorld and foden consistently but no body complained unlike Tuchel he gets stick for everything. Even in UCL final he fielded 2academu mount and james while playing young deadwood’s in Werner and harvertz ahead of experience ziyech and Giroud. The guy always picks what’s best for the team. Even at Bayern he gave pavlovic his debut and developed him playing in big games even up until now . Gilmore was sold because we had the best 3Dms in kante , Jorginho and kovacic meaning billy playing time will be limited which will hinder his growth The narrative that Tuchel dislikes youngsters is false . Just give the guy his flowers
The international game is already compromised by players born abroad that decide to play for another country, case in point being France. Do whatever you can within the rules to win. If that means bringing in Thomas Tuchel then so be it.
There shouldn’t be restrictions on the nationality of coaches. A country should be given the opportunity to win - if that is going to be with a foreign coach. then so be it. So if a country produces great players and not so good coaches , should the players be stamp with failure all because of untalented coaches? I strongly disagree. Everybody should be give equal opportunity to win.
I understand your point but ultimately your analogy of Rodri playing for England is an off key one, simple because those rules do not apply to mangers. So, no, it’s not cheating imo. We should get the best manager we can within the current system/rules etc. I’d love an English manager but generally, let’s be realistic, they aren’t up to scratch. I’d rather win a World Cup with English players and a foreign manager than continue to fail to get across the line, if that’s indeed the option you presented to me. And I don’t want to hear about WW2 either, my dad was in the war but with respect I don’t want to hear about that with regard to football anymore… it’s a madness. Some nutter on a talksport phone in thought Gary O’Neil was a good choice. Stop 🛑 😂 But like you Rory I am excited. I want to win, dark arts, defensive win when needed… I want to win, end of. And I don’t care how. Just win. Good appointment imho
English managers are average just like their players. The top four managers for long term has always been foreign managers. You maybe have the best league but your footballers are good when they play with foreigners, but on their own, they aren’t good enough.
I'm genuinely shocked the FA found their balls and got a top coach. I was fully expecting some puff pieces in the legacy media and then Carsley being gifted the job. Then more years of mediocrity with a willful press looking the other way.
Can you please clarify something for me Rory. How long does it take to gain your donkey licence to manage the England football team? Must be a few months, maybe that is why he is not starting until after the New Year. Lol 🫏🫏🫏
I’m rooting for Tuchel to win the World Cup just so we can say the Germans have finally conquered the world! But let's be real, England will probably win a trophy before Rockstar remembers they have GTA 6 to release!
The opinion that you cant have a different nationality for manager is stupid. Many other small nations have different national managers both Belgium and Portugal appointed Roberto Martinez a Spaniard. Ireland had an Italian in Trapattoni The England Cricket National Teams best success has come with people who may have a british cinnection but arent british. Usually find more success with Aussies than they do with Englishmen and the England National Football team have already had Sven and Capello. Yeah it didnt work out for them however doesnt mean it won't work the only difference with them and Tuchel is he's German and there is hatred there based on World Wars whoever is lile that move on. By the way im Scottish and i dont want ti see England do well however appointing Tuchel is probably one of the best decisions you could make at this point.
As an Irish Chelsea fan I'm delighted I thought United were gonna get Tuchel. The Chelsea 2-0 win against Real Madrid in 2021 and away 3-1 in 2022 are two of Chelsea's best ever attacking performances
the only thing that makes england special in the footballing sense is the premier league which is based on a global labor market. theres nothing ‘english’ about the premier league. so im not sure how your argument follows. also the post-colonial decline melancholy of anyone holding onto ‘englishness’ seems a bit pathetic
The English manager should be the best man for the job, who cares if he is English or not. Being subconsciously, or not so subconsciously, xenophobic is why we never win trophies.

How many games did tuchel win at chelsea to win the cl?
The international game is already compromised by players born abroad that decide to play for another country, case in point being France.
Do whatever you can within the rules to win. If that means bringing in Thomas Tuchel then so be it.
Who's this Tooshal fella he keeps banging on about?
So what English manager what you pick Rory? Haven’t we waited long enough to win something?
There is no negative. Almost half of ucl winning squad was young players
Will TT open the door for a return for James and Chilwell? Or will his hands be tied and the old boys m8s club will still be in charge?
There shouldn’t be restrictions on the nationality of coaches. A country should be given the opportunity to win - if that is going to be with a foreign coach. then so be it. So if a country produces great players and not so good coaches , should the players be stamp with failure all because of untalented coaches? I strongly disagree. Everybody should be give equal opportunity to win.
The same could be said for the opposite, should a good coach be stamped with failure because of untalented players
Stop 🛑 😂
But like you Rory I am excited. I want to win, dark arts, defensive win when needed… I want to win, end of. And I don’t care how. Just win.
Good appointment imho
I think managers and staff should have to be of that country but thats not the rules
😂what about players, thats also cheating
English managers are average just like their players. The top four managers for long term has always been foreign managers. You maybe have the best league but your footballers are good when they play with foreigners, but on their own, they aren’t good enough.
Hansi flick is the one that whooped barca with messi 8-2 in 2020, now he is barca manager. England appointing german manager is not that serious.
Nicky Haley for Arsenal Women's Coach.
Rory is a marketing genius. Lol. Nice videos though
It is a different kind of job than the prem
Are you insinuating that thomas tuchel is more defensive than gareth Southgate?
He only knows Tuchel cause of Chelsea
The super cup and the club world cup are nonsense and you know it.
I think Tuchel secretly wants to be English, perhaps he should be backed to such an extent we basically turn him.
Crying about a German while half the team is African is so funny
I'm genuinely shocked the FA found their balls and got a top coach.
I was fully expecting some puff pieces in the legacy media and then Carsley being gifted the job. Then more years of mediocrity with a willful press looking the other way.
Genuinely surprised this video took so long to be posted :)
GOOD.
Better than any of the garbage "English" managers available.
Will the F.A leave him alone though?
Unfortunately England are not a top tier football nation. Hiring tuchel will not make an ounce of difference. England's records speaks for itself.
Can you please clarify something for me Rory.
How long does it take to gain your donkey licence to manage the England football team? Must be a few months, maybe that is why he is not starting until after the New Year.
Lol 🫏🫏🫏
Id rather win 1-0 than lose 5-4
Thomas Tushel ❌️
Thomas Tuchel ✅️
Let’s get behind him and bring this World Cup home 🏴
Thomas, dont call me Tommy Tuchel
Waiting for the "arsenal bottled the league" video
Who cares about messages, I care about winning like most.
Why the hell can this guy not say Tuchel’s name correctly?!?
I’m rooting for Tuchel to win the World Cup just so we can say the Germans have finally conquered the world! But let's be real, England will probably win a trophy before Rockstar remembers they have GTA 6 to release!
Tbh having a German manager shouldn't matter when u got Irish, Jamaican and African players playing for England.
England is a multicultural nation
The way he is procuring his name is annoying me 😂
That 9 year old kid on CFC fan TV has better opinions than you
The opinion that you cant have a different nationality for manager is stupid. Many other small nations have different national managers both Belgium and Portugal appointed Roberto Martinez a Spaniard. Ireland had an Italian in Trapattoni
The England Cricket National Teams best success has come with people who may have a british cinnection but arent british. Usually find more success with Aussies than they do with Englishmen
and the England National Football team have already had Sven and Capello.
Just moaning for moaning sake now
How anybody can complain about a German manager, when half of our team are African is beyond me!
Are you INTENTIONALLY mispronouncing that man's name?
As an Irish Chelsea fan I'm delighted I thought United were gonna get Tuchel.
The Chelsea 2-0 win against Real Madrid in 2021 and away 3-1 in 2022 are two of Chelsea's best ever attacking performances
Did the FA come around and run the appointment past u Rory B4 they signed Tuchel. They can't sign anyone without Rorys say so 😂😂😂
It's not 1945 mate
What’s the size of England national team in football?? 😂😂 a blip… England haven’t done shit on the international stage.
the only thing that makes england special in the footballing sense is the premier league which is based on a global labor market. theres nothing ‘english’ about the premier league. so im not sure how your argument follows. also the post-colonial decline melancholy of anyone holding onto ‘englishness’ seems a bit pathetic
The English manager should be the best man for the job, who cares if he is English or not. Being subconsciously, or not so subconsciously, xenophobic is why we never win trophies.
I m just giving you 8mnths,Rory will be Tuchel out
Potter won nothing Howe won nothing ..Southgate was best English manger out there getting to two finals and he wasnt good enough
Give Tuchel a go
I don't even know of any English people (myself included) that find God Save the King moving
No pride whatsoever, you'd do and say anything....sell your soul just for a win.
For Tuchel to win the cup yeah, he needs to let go of his remaining hair. Clean shaven=winning trophies.
