Sheikh I live in the UK (outside London) and we don’t have access to shuyookh like this in-person so I guess we should look at bin Baz or bin Othaymeen right? I’ve always been worried about western Muslim communities because madhaahib have split us and split us and split us endlessly.
Shaykh Bin Baz and Shaykh Ibn Uthaymin were Major scholars whom the scholars have encouraged to follow. So there should be no issue. I also recommend the living major scholar Shaykh Wasiullah Abbas (called the Mufti of Makkah by some)
By sheikh last statement better to the dead salaf. Closer to the time of Rasool. Hence verdict derived from the imams closer to time of rasool. Which is 4 imams or their contemporary.
Yes, but closer doesn't necessarily make it easier for the laymen. Sometimes you can't find quotes from very specific issues, unless you take from trusted scholars who have gone through it like photography
you mean i switched from following the understanding of the students of the sahaba to following my own understanding and interpretation of the quran and sunnah (in english) lol
On many topics i agree with the sheikh but İ also dont agree on many of his statements and belifs for example Almost everything to sheikh is Bidah and its not really right, There are Many İmams who go against this, So ya İ dont really agree qith sheikh on many topics mostly realted to İslam in İndian Subcontinent and on topics like Barelvi, deobandi and So on.....
When you find a sahih hadith reject the opinion of an imam or madhab and follow the hadith. For e.g. raful yadyn Hanafis don't do raful yadyn, but it's in bukhari sheikh
One of the weaknesses that many Salafi's are that they are good at hadith but struggle with fiqh. They teach the laymen sahih, daef and think that's the end. Fiqh is a complicated science. There are sahaba that didn't do think action, even though they narrated. What do you do when the righteous from the 3 generations did a particular action, yet they confirmed another, whilst it being sahih. There science is vast and so just a simplistic view cannot be made. Hanafi's don't forbid this action either...please do research from real hanafi scholars
Sahih hadith doesn't mean you just follow it. That's why we don't have the right to give rulings, we don't know the methodology. What do you do if a Hadith is sahih but abrogated? Do you then just follow it? Of course not. It is authentically established that fasting on 'Ashura was obligated. Yet it was abrogated when Ramadan became mandatory to fast. Of course there are sahih hadith that the Prophet SAW did raf' al yadayn. But that doesn't mean the Hanafis are rejecting a Sahih hadith. They are acting on other evidences such as reports from Ibn Mas'ud and Ali RA that the Prophet SAW didn't use to raise their hands. Its possible that either he did sometimes raise his hands but usually did not, or that it was abrogated. Or its possible that the Shafi'is and Hanbalis are correct that it IS sunnah to do raf' al yadayn. But please don't write off opinions of madhabs based on your understanding of evidences. Imam Abu Hanifa RA lived with and grew up with and learned with the students of the Sahabah. There is a lot of information in that setting that you cannot hope to understand just by opening Bukhari.
All those things she mentioned is from the barelwi sect not hanafi madhab. Dont blame the madhab for your sects behavior. 40 days is not mentioned anywhere in hanafi books.
I have came to this conclusion aswell. We (from the subcontinent) have been taught such and such is from the hanafi madhab when clearly it is not. The best we can do is teach our children the true sunnah rather passing the knowledge from our parents/grandparents. May Allah the almighty forgive us and them and protect us from falsehood and misguidance also from misguiding others. Ameen

Madhabs follow the established Sunnah that the Sahaba taught.
