Yes, especially when you're a greedy, selfish, arrogant darksider in power who will stop at nothing to prevent or reduce diversity in your country, such as a certain army chief from a certain Islamophobic country.

Not that uncommon in history. Cognomen in Rome were both given, and taken away, by the Senate, or just assumed, for example.
Historically, names weren't the same as they are today, and we mustn't forget that.
There's a reason why so many people are called Thatcher, Smith, and so on, and that's because names were usually just a description. Caesar and Augustus are the best examples of this, where caesar means "thick-haired", augustus means majestic or venerable, magnus just means great (e.g. in the name of Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus, commonly known as Pompey the Great or just Pompey), Rufus means red-haired, etc.

There lived a certain man in *Nippon* long ago
He was big and strong, in his eyes a flaming glow
Most people looked at him with terror and with fear
But to *Nara* chicks he was such a lovely dear
He could preach the *Sutra* like a preacher
    Full of ecstasy and fire
But he also was the kind of *sensei*
    Women would desire
    *DO DO DO-KI-YO*

He ruled the *Nihon* land and never mind the *emperor*
But the *ritual* he *performed* really *sugoii*
In all affairs of state he was the man to please
But he was real great when he had a girl to squeeze
For the *empress* he was no wheeler dealer
Though she'd heard the things he'd done
She believed he was a holy healer

But when his drinking and lusting
    And his hunger for power
Became known to more and more people
    The demands to do something
    About this outrageous man
    Became louder and louder
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
"This man's just got to go", declared his enemies
But the ladies begged, "Don't you try to do it, please"
No doubt this *Dokyo* had lots of hidden charms
Though he was a *monk,* they just fell into his arms
*Then, one day some chief priest of a great shrine*
    *proclaimed the words of Hachiman-sama*
*"no man not of imperial line sits on the throne"*
    And he really *stepped down*
    *DO DO DO-KI-YO*
    *NIHON TENNO KOIBITO*
*They stripped him of his rank and title*
    *DO DO DO-KI-YO*

*he was then sent to banishment*
    *DO DO DO-KI-YO*

He's Rasputin in the ancient Japan.
in another story, Dokyo was an illegal child of Shikinomiko Prince of Emperor Tenchi. Dōkyō was given authority over religious and civil matters. It was told that there was an oracle of the whole country becoming Taihei if the road mirror was put on Emperor's rank from Usa Jingu. However, the Wakenokiyomaro did not get to the throne because it was petition that this oracle was false as the imperial court used.
When the empress died, Dōkyō was banished from Nara.
Mr. Yuge was a member of the bow-cutting division that made bows. There are some clans, but the lineage belonging to Dokoy (Yuge Muraji) is a clan of mononobe. Dokoy was a Monononebe family pedigree.

I don't know what she did nor I remember her name, but I only know she requested help from Tang Dynasty China in a fight against Goguryeo and Baekje. At that time, Emperor Tang Tai Zong belittled her just because "lmao, a woman??? Hah, as if I would help a weak bitch." Little did he know there was gonna be a karma for clinging on to that boomer Master Kong (Confucius), in the form of Wu Ze Tian.
Anyways, Taizong reluctantly agreed because Goguryeo was amassing more power. That and some general whoever he was killed the Goguryeo king, effectively usurping the throne, so the soup emperor was like "FOR JUSTIIIIIIICE!!!"

Dokyo is somewhat similar to the Vietnamese dynasty of Ly and Tran. Buddhist theocracy held absolute power in the courts, and all Imperial advisors in Vietnam were Buddhist monks. After Le dynasty's rise, Emperor Le Loi stripped all Buddhist monks from getting too much power. He created the concept of "separation of church and state", based on Confucianism. He equalized the courts with Confucianist mandarins, Buddhist Monks, Taoist mages at even numbers. The Chinese dynasties after Tang also set up similar rules, like the Vietnamese, but they are extremely favored towards the Confucianists.
In the case of Japan, Buddhism now becomes quite weak due to the rise of state Shintoism. There have been no real Buddhist statespeople getting back into real power. There is Soka Gakkai in Japan but they are largely a joke and more of an economic Yakuza laundering operation. Ikeda, of Korean lineage, also really hates Japan anyway.

@@Linfamy I got arreated last year for " improper storage of a class B medication" . Due to me screwin around and accumulating a few arrests in my teens and early 20s(marijuana distribution, minor in possession of alcohol, etc. typical teenage trouble) I was offered 6 months in jail or a year probation . 9 months into probation I violated the terms of my probation, according to my probation officer ( whom I never got along with) by being late , or as she claimed, missing mandatory meetings. as a result I was forced to serve 5 months in county jail and take a felony charge.
      Many lessons learned.
Probably the biggest being never to judge a book by its cover . I met some INCREDIBLE people in jail. Some VERY talented people, good people. Lots of good people, such as myself, can end up in shit positions and situations in life . Not everything is cut and dry, black and white. So I passed my time reading and helping tutor the guys working towards their GEDs and what college courses were available. Of course I was especially helpful teaching these guys history.
In retrospect I learned alot about myself , about how screwed up our judicial system is, how our prisons are FILLED with ( I'd estimate 89% with non violent offenders, mostly drug addicts or drug dealers). Most important of all I learned that good people can EASILY end up on the wrong side of the law(such as myself). I served 5 months, it was an experience , one I wouldn't take back(believe it or not).

    • @Linfamy
