I bought the Cm ALRD flatbed for my 1999 F350 Dually. It weighs 597 Lbs. and the factory bed weighs about 600. When you remove your gooseneck hitch and bumper hitch to install the CM bed, you reduce the overall weight by about 150 Lbs. I added 18 x 30" underbody tool boxes and it still weighs less than the factory was with the hitches installed. The welding is fine, but the metal work where wires pass through was not deburred. I see the same issue with gooseneck trailers: the manufacturers are great welders, but they are not electricians or they would have realized there were a few areas they needed to take care of. There was a recall including my bed because the angle supports that connect the steel frame to the aluminum bed were 1/8" and should have been 1/4". They notified me asking me to verify if they were 1/8". I responded that it was, but they never attempted to fix it. It really doesn't affect me as most of my loads are using the gooseneck trailer and the bed is not affected. You can see my truck setup on my website and UA-cam channel. Overall I'm real happy with it and highly recommend the brand.
Yes we can do some custom modifications if you would like, as of now we are looking at 10-12 weeks order time and we would have to see a list of what you would like so we could get you a quote to see if it is possible.
Want to upgrade my to a f450 chassis crew cab long wheel base 203 inches, (i think) and put one of these beds at least 11.5 feet long, the bed will need to hold at lest 2500lbs is this possible in aluminum? thanks
It depends on what style you'd like and the dimensions of your vehicle (single wheel or dual, long bed or short bed, etc). The best thing to do would give us a call at 970-874-0612! Thanks!
You can order an ER with a Big Truck Package which will accommodate this unit. Depending on the install, it can have clearance, however it is hard to say without knowing exactly how you install the camera.
I installed my backup camera on the headache rack and it has a good view of the well. I'll be doing a video in the next month or so on my dashcam which will show this.

yes 84 cab to axle beds are available in steel and aluminum. the aluminum is rated at 800 lbs per sq ft. so will easily hold 2500 lbs

i've got a couple of questions, 1. will 22.5" wheels fit with the ER bed? 2. will a cargo camera have clear view of the gooseneck well?

It varies by bed, it would be best to call and find out which beds fit your individual vehicle.
