It was fantastic wasn’t it Michelle 👍👍👍
@@realaleguide Really was!! Definitely brightened up my dreary January 😊
Crazy how small of a world we live in.
WOW Absolutely fantastic video. Loved that my favourite beer reviewers are in it @ratemybeer @realalecraftbeer
CHEERS TO YOU ALL 🍻
❤️😎👍
@SlippersAreOn thanks, mate! 🍻
Just finished watching the Video complete pleasure Simon to do this again. March 3rd can't come quick enough. Thamks for involving us with this video. What a day that was u know we got to do it again 😊
Great stuff Simon you do these brewery videos so well.
Thank you Nigel
Another great vid Simon always loves these interesting seeing all the bars got me wanting to visit them and I have done some u have done in the past
Brilliant work team. I can't wait to get a can. Cheers
Tasty video! We miss London since we have been there filming for your beer series. Cheers from Vienna!
Absolutely mega, cheers Simon very informative and enjoyable to watch, want to make my next trip to London and enjoy their local tipple great job 👍👍
Hi Simon. I'm originally from Hackney. I'm glad that you had a great time there. Five Points Brewery and The Pembury are fantastic.
Always good to see you out and on the Road.....ignore the grumblers
this video was amazing 👌💪
Love these videos, Si. Give us some more diy videos too this year!
Cains Brewery in Liverpool has been turned into bars and a big market! Defo need to come along
Cracking video , great company too I really enjoyed this I need to go to Hackney 😊
Thank you, Simon, for this excellent trip!
That is a dreadful example of an English breakfast.
Agreed. Probably cost about £27 as well!
Si, most of the open spaces and parks in London used to be pastures for diary cattle - before refrigeration it was the only way to provide the city with fresh diary products. Great video and channel - keep up the good work, buddy.
Just wrapped up dry January (mate challenged me to do it cause he thinks I drink to much and I'm a competitive idiot), enjoying my first beer in a month with a fillet steak watching this ace video. Proper Saturday vibes.
Sidenote, people whine you don't research but I love hearing you discovering stuff and the enthusiasm in it.
This was class to watch! Definitely taking a weekend to appreciate these lovely pubs asap.
I sort of know central London from visiting when I lived in Reading, but I don't know Hackney at all .. London is so big there are endless areas and breweries! to explore, really fascinating video.
I noticed the pint glasses are stored upside down, I was sacked from a job in September for putting out glasses upside down at a wedding venue, apparently it takes time for customers to turn them up the right way.
Great video simon
Great video again , Simon . I will visit this place next time i am in London. Hackney , ere i come..
You are very welcome to London sir. Good to see you in my home town. Brilliant video. Cheers
great vid, and them prices 😍, nice job doing dry January as well mate.
I would have started at the Chesham Arms and ended up off Brick Lane at The Pride of Spitalfields. I have done that route many times via London Fields and Columbia Road Flower market. Could have included The Pembury Tavern in Hackney too.
Great video Simon. Looked like you had a ball! Thanks for doing this, great content!
Brilliant brewery video again Simon thanks for sharing it
Great video Simon, cheers 🍻
we are a frendly bunch in london
that was great simon
I love London. I think I may retrace your steps. Thanks for posting!
Chicken wrap reminded me of getting a present in ever decreasing boxes until all you had was a tangerine
Really enjoyed that one. Very informative! Would like to see RACB in their garden bar / RMB in your conservatory bar - perhaps some collabs coming in the future....? Also very jealous how you can just go behind the bar at Hackney Chruch Brew Co and pull yourself a pint!
Looking a bit Brahms towards the end Simon, nice one👍
What a fantastic day out Simon thanks for sharing
Great video. Nice to see Paul and Michelle too.
Great day out had by all. Nice one fella!!
Great watch Simon , thoroughly enjoyed !
Great collaboration with Paul and Michelle that Simon. My favourite 2 beer Chanels in 1 place.
Great vid Simon! I used to work in Brick Lane so it brought back some memories.
I love these vids - well done!
The Sudbury Cafe on Wembley Park Drive did a great fry up ! 😋
Good watch, agree with the comment that Five Points brewery tap is well worth a visit along with the Forest Road Brewery tap, had a good few lost Saturdays up in London Fields
Brilliant video Simon , very interesting and nice to see rate my beer , I love the way Paul dresses he always looks pucka 👌
I love going to the old pubs in London but getting home on the trains is always touch n go. When you’re hammered, keeping track of time and walking are quite a struggle.
Great trip and good company, cheers from Florida USA
Great vlog!
I lived in Hackney and Stoke Newington for ten years mostly in the 90s. There used to be one of the original Firkin pubs on Victoria park that used to brew on site. They were famouse for their ales Wife Beater and Dog Bolter.
QUOTE:
How was Dogbolter created?
David Bruce created Dogbolter in 1979.
It was a full-mash brew with an O.G. of 1060° (A.B.V. 6%).
The West Berkshire Brewery brewed Dogbolter, ensuring it remained true to Bruce's original recipe.
Went to the Camra beer and cider fest not long ago in Hackney...went to The Kenton after..top pub.
Loving this Video. 😂
Great vid. I thought the pineapple in the beer was because of the Agadoo lyrics push pineapple.
Fantastic
Hope you had a great day looks like wonderful footage
You should try outside central London cheaper
Like Croydon
Brilliant place, visited Bohemia place before covid when Verdant/Pressure Drop had The Experiment...I was in Bermondsey over the weekend....That should be next on your beer travels .
You should go to the beer festival at the round chapel in Hackney.
The best beer festival in December. By far .
Enjoyed the video Simon, good call to have Paul & Michelle in the mix!
and the young lad!
@@PaulJones-k3fHe was a bit lost for words lol
@@leej3415 because he wasn't asked anything!
@PaulJones-k3f of course, I thought that after I sent it, couldn't remember his name, looks like a nice chap
yes, he looks like a chilled young dude
Finally got to London, Great vid 👍
Hi Simon. I wonder if you could get an interactive map for your channel with your rating on it. Would be cool. I need to visit some breweries in London and i find the history side of it fascinating too
Brilliant Si!!
Thanks for that 🤔. What happened to the Mushrooms and Black pudding and Tinned Tomatoes 😅😅😢😢😂😂
Had a couple of Hackney Brewery Beers, they have been outstanding 🍺
Bermondsey beer mile is a great day out.
‘Dunno what kinda bird that is … a swan or something ‘. 🤣 ah please give me your brain for a year. I’d pay bn quid for it.
Brilliant 😂
great video mate!
Great vid, picked up the new Lidl Sabor (fake Madri, brewed in span). Next review???
Nice one Si best wishes mate
best video yet,may an idea for a stone crows meet up
Masala Beans? 😂 Yeah this place changed a while back. Still, was an old stomping ground back in the day, good times
Awaiting Si arrival in Hackney. A Welshman visiting a different ethnic country. He will be visiting all my old haunts hopefully.
The verdant x pressure drop tap room used to be right next door to hackney church before it closed a couple of years ago.
Seems like Hackney Church have gone from strength to strength since then
Bet that street cleaner bloke was just sweeping up them bloody laughing gas canisters on Brick Lane
You missed a trick by not continuing down Brick Lane at the start to visit the Brick Lane Beigel Bake. My friend who lived around there as a kid says it is the only place that tastes like the one he had as a kid. It has queues outside all the time and is open 24/7
First poured pint of the month I take it? Not first alcoholic drink? 😂
Oh Simon mate you were only around the corner from me.... Next time you're down let me know fella... Hackney Rules...!!
That wasn’t even half a breakfast 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️😂😂
I was expecting to see Stabbings gangs on the streets a warzone basically as thats all we see on Sly News as i call them , Hackney in reality looks awesome , well done Simon for showing us the real London and not the dystopia that the News keeps on about.
Try Chiswick-fullers, Smith and Turner:I think their still going .
If it's £6 a pint then I just saw £1.80 worth of dwindling froth in that pint pot. I'll always ask for a top up. Love it when the snotty staff get arsey when I ask.
It cost you a fortune to get there by train and we only get little over an hour of content most of which was filmed in a brewery. At time of writing only 7k subscribers have watched it .
I m sure more will later but you d have got as many views doing a Stoned Crow virtual Pub live stream .
Wow she is extremely Beautiful....❤❤❤
Love the camera confidence but shame you didn't say " cheers mate" to that street guy. Thought you were talking to him about the history 🤦
Truman Brewery is a big site, but it's nothing compared to the size of the Guinness site in Dublin. Maybe it was biggest in terms of volume produced?
Could be volume of beer yes.
Your Thumbnail is about 1/2 a mile inside Tower Hamlets not Hackney
Thought you might be in Brewdog HQ
Simon, did you get home in one piece?
Just about
Stop confusing the Londoners by stopping them randomly for a casual chat. 😂
Wrap and chips, not worth the £17 imo 🤷♂️
56:35 and sambrooks the oldest
Heineken and neckoil really
Susan Perb!
England is different country, I hope you showed your Welsh passport on the border...
Do you mean civilization and the economic powerhouse that basically funds the rest of the country, otherwise we would be f*ucked. A Welsh passport that is hilarious I am all for passpot control on the two severn bridges!!!
😆😆
Why Hackney?
I have never been
How come breweries with great beer go out of business ?
You obviously had a great time! 👍
No black pudding or mushrooms ! 👎
👍👍
I’m going to enjoy this!!!
Plural of brewery - breweries.
£6 for a pint
5 Point Brewery isnt far
🙄REALLY? A cup of tea in a pub? WTF is wrong with you Brits??? smdh
The major problem with these you tubers ( and the travel ones are the same ) is they do no reading or research so just wander round going Wow at stuff but miss most of the history or interesting stuff because they think they are the main focus
Truman’s brewery was covered in the video, that’s a lot of history right there
After The Cock Tavern it all went down hill in terms of pubs. Much better around doing more than the likes of Heineken etc. For example they could have gone to Five Points taproom which was only down the road! Or the Pembury Tavern.
