@@seen9192 Definitely. Steam has an "under 2 hours played" refund policy, so give it a go and refund if you don't end up liking it. So much content for the standard price tag when other studios are blocking off story content as DLC or alternative costumes as expensive microtransactions.
@@seen9192 I would say yes it’s worth it, the amount of ways the game can be experienced is worth it alone not to mention it’s a damn good story and has a good bit of length to it.
Another inside joke that isn't in the game, is the skeleton with the name 'Geoff'. Geoff Keighley was a brief guest on one of Larian's panel from Hell streams. Which they were broadcasting while the game was still in Early Access to reveal new features for the game. In that stream Geoff starts hurling fireballs everywhere and ends up blowing himself up. Leaving a smoking skeleton of him.
For an idea on how versatile Neil Newbon (Astarion the vampire) is, he's Kamski in Detroit: Become Human! Also the guy who hates androids, who I can't remember the name of for the life of me. All the VAs are so, so good. I like how they ham their character traits up for these little animations. Some of the ones before missed characters out, but this has all the main crew! I did like Karlach's (demon lady) bits with melting the show and being a living heater for Astarion, as you guys also pointed out. Also good memory with remembering he was drinking Swen's blood, that you saw in the flesh in the collab video after! And yeah, BG3 really did get it's recognition in TGA. As with most people I'm a tad annoyed at how the awards show was run - still, I'm happy this game got awarded. Oh yes, The Dark Urge (as Elijah Wood so brilliantly demonstrated) is messed up. You can hack off a main companion's hand or kill a squirrel... or much, much worse. 😈
In game Gale needs to consume magic items or something bad happens, there are a lot of magic boots, too many, so most players give him the boots that they dont need, that's why he is eating one
You _have_ to play Baldur's Gate 3! You'd have a blast in a co-op campaign but also each with a solo one as well. It's just a very rich game, world, characters, story, etc. And as people are mentioning here, best voice acting and mocap to go with it * chefs kiss *
This is a new one. Still, I love it. The narcissistic vampire and the two guys (who I completely didn't know were the actors who played Sam and Frodo) giving into "darkness" were the best.
Having beaten the game twice, my favourite party is Tav (custom character), Shadowheart (healer), Karlach (Brawn), and Astarion (lock picker). I find Gale to be the most annoying but only because of his personal quest after you recruit him. I tried to use his "quest item" during a big battle and found out why you should be careful with things you don't understand. Some advice: Finding the NPC Withers in Act 1 is nearly priceless. He allows you to customize not only your character but also the other party members as well. I find Karlach MUCH more fun as a Fighter instead of a Barbarian. Also, barbarians can't wear armour, so that's another reason to make her a fighter. There's so many cool weapons and armour in the game, it seems such a shame to have a character left out.
I know many actors dislike being stuck with the label of their most popular character and I understand it. After all, when you've done a hundred roles throughout your career and only one of them is remembered it can get a little annoying. Especially if that particular role is something you'd done as your debut or breakout and you've polished your acting skill tenfold since then. However, I can't appreciate enough how Sean and Elijah just embraced it and still do after a quarter century now (if we count it from the year the filming started and they were cast: 1999). To most of the fans they will always be Sam and Frodo, but they're fine with that and are just ready to go right back to playing the respective parts on the spot. That (on top of their amazing performance in the movies, obviously) is what makes the fans across the globe still love them (alongside all the other wonderful cast members) and I have a hunch the feeling is reciprocated. I hope time allows Sean and Elijah to play Baldur's Gate 3 in its entirety (maybe even invite the two other Hobbits to the party as Dominic and Billy remain huge nerds after all these years as well). I won't say the game is as impactful to me as Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy was (and still is if I'm being honest with myself). But, when it comes to games, it's probably as close to that imact as it could've gotten. I already can tell I will be revisiting the game for years, possibly decades to come, just I like I rewatch the LOTR trilogy (extended cut, of course) at least once every couple years.
I dont know if anyoke told you guys before but persona 3 reload is coming out and there a lot of trailers so good luck if you guys are ever doing any of those ciao
Karlach melting down the snow because..she is hot. Literally. Amazing! Love her. Also to see Sam and Frodo like this.. don't get this wrong, but since i've seen these 3 legendary movies... i always imaged Sam and Frodo be a thing by the end. It fits there characters perfectley.
Hey Ken and Bethany, I just wanted to let you know that the new Warframe gauss prime’s trailer dropped yesterday and I think you both would enjoy it since you like making drafts of prime characters🤣, But before you watch gauss prime’s trailer watch Grendel Prime’s first since both trailers are connected to each other not just cinematically but Lore wise, Thank you for everything you do both of you, keep up the good work😁👍
You can’t go wrong with BG3, The voice actors for this game are extremely extremely talented in my opinion.
Do you think it’s still worth buying it? I’m still on the fence.

@@MrToastyTank just bought it! Loving it so far thanks!
Astarion, *a vampire* , being the most bothered by the cold is my favorite unspoken joke here lol
And not even Karlach's natural heat is heat him up. 😋
I truly love to see two great actors, not just as friends..but as a bunch of nerds.. just like the fantastic guys and gals at Larian Studios.
Yeah seeing their dynamic was a ton of fun 🤩
Karlach acting like a cat at the end 😆
She did. Probably a reference to the legendary "Christmas Vacation" Griswold movie.
I hope you guys play it, BG3 is long but it's worth the journey

Didn't know that! That's really cute. I love all the little eastereggs that Larian puts into their game and promotions.
I wish I'd been here since the Early Access. Seen bits and pieces of the Panel from Hell showcases here and there.
Love the inside jokes! Thanks for sharing that one 😛
I am anticipating flashbacks to this video when Ken and Bethany find the squirrel in the game themselves
😜

Please dear Larian Studios: Make a animated series like this with your amazing characters, just like Vox Machina did it.
Hope this happens 😃

We will. play. Looking forward to it consuming our lives 😛
Elijah Wood will always be remembered as Frodo but i'd like to remind you that he had a pretty evil character in Sin City.
True. But that has been his only real evil role. Feels like everything before he was such a good kid/man 🤗
I just noticed you can see santa's robe is actually green when it shows you from behind, the red front is just from blood

Three(maybe more) of the voice actors have UA-cam channels and are doing let's plays of the game.
I am soooo looking forward to see you guys play this game!! It had such a positive impact on me and it became my most favorite game ever
Oh wow! Not just game of the year but game of life! Hell Yeah 😎 🤘
Neil’s delivery of “Oh for fucks sake!” gets me every time.
Been waiting for there reaction on this one.
