All I carry with me is my Onerwert bag with Q2, extra batteries, and a few other small items. Just returned from shooting street photography in Paris. This is all I took on the trip. And this bag is really great in the rain. The water simply rolls off it!
It looks like your point of critique about the Leica halfcase is not remedied by the new one, which also seems to block the bottom ridge of the flip screen, no? You did not shiw this unfortunately.
It's hard to show that in a video. But I can assure you that it is much better in comparison. Also, the Oberwerth one is open on the left side which makes accessing the screen easier as well.
That brands quality seems horrible and the price is crazy! Rather have a bag off of Amazon. But if I’d spend that money I’d get another Billingham. That half case doesn’t even sit flush on the sides of the camera. Interior of the bag seems sloppily put together, the edges seem unrefined. For $600, I’d expect better.

I tried out the Q bag, but I found it was too bulky and heavy. I sold it and got the oberwerth Bayreuth, which is a much better fit for my Q3.
Shame that you cant use this charging grip. But maybe the soft grip makes this redundant?
