As you are in Uttar Pradesh, you can attend and film Gow-Vardhan Puja as well. Most vloggers do not guve attention to this festival. You may find the activities in or around any big Gaushala (Cow care homes) or temples.. (Not a festival like Diwali or Holi, but very different, basic and simple)

If you really want to enjoy local food of Varanasi it is highly recommended that you first go through the vlogs of Spiceler, or else you would miss at least 95% of the fun😊. He has many videos, so just fast-track through them. Believe me, he has really amazing vlogs on it.
For every ritual ( like offering flowers in the Ganges) it is NOT for money.

Why are doing UA-cam, its for money or charity? Varanasi is a tourist place so, people will try to make money and just say NO and move on. Last year 72 million tourists visited Varanasi so, there will be few people who will try to make money(it's completely normal unless someone is not harassing you it shouldn't be an issue). If someone puts flowers in Ganga, it's their belief, let them do it.

You can just ignore the street sellers. You shouldn't respond to them at all. If you keep responding and acknowledging them, they'll make another attempt to try to sell it to you. You don't need to be so polite with constantly saying the "no thank you". Remember this is not Scotland or a western country and these are street sellers trying to sell their products no matter what through any means necessary.
