Bought this because while I really like coffee, I don't really especially carve espresso at home, it's just nice to have and I actually need espresso to make tiramisu which I'm addicted to. You can get good espresso drinks everywhere, but good tiramisu isn't that common and I like having it at home. Overall, I just don't want to spend that much for something that's going to be just a treat sometimes. Baratza encore esp, picopresso and jura frother are perfect low cost setup for good enough espresso. It's also good because it doesn't take much counter or cupboard space. Encore ofc is also my normal coffee grinder so it's not just for espresso.
Thoughts on the gauge? I like my guage on my Flair 58 fine, but I don't know how useful it would really be on my picopresso. Every video I see, the pressure oscillates so much for a majority of the shot that I am not sure what feedback you are actually getting. I feel that the pico already tells you a lot just by how it feels in use but that could just be because I haven't used the gauge. Do you notice enough of a difference to justify buying it? Thanks.
Nice video, thanks! And congrats for the cool setup. Two questions if I may: why are you not spraying the beans pre-grind, and why no puck screen? The puck prep also seemed a little excessive, but hey if it works for you, all good J
@@bryan_roam thank-you for your feedback.. I have the Breville Bambino and been looking for the right scale I currently use a precision scale but doesn't have timer and limited to 500g
I knew this was a complicated way to make coffee, but there are many easier ways to make one. I think no one would be interested in watching me make instant coffee
I know this is an older video, but you NEED a different WDT tool or push those needles out. The needs are so close to each other they are just pushing grounds around making your life way harder.
Haha, I totally get it! It's not for everyone; it's more of a niche product. Also, mornings are for simplicity, and Saeco automatics are fantastic for that hassle-free cup.
It is NOT replacing your Saeco. Picopresso is for traveling or when you want to have some coffee nerd fun at home. You can see he has a machine between his grinder and the Picopresso. It doesn't have to replace anything. I have the Picopresso, Flair Neo and a super automatic. And to that add a french press, Aeropress, v60 for the non espresso coffees. You can never have enough when you are a coffee nerd.
@@HenrikZachrau We have Aeropress, V60, Switch, Mokapots, Cowboy coffee pot, Vietnamese phin, Turkish jezva, cold drip, Gaggia Classic Pro, Espro, French press Bodum, and Picopresso. Made a stand for the Wacaco Picopresso from a retort stand for $5, loving it. Simple but great crema, pays for itself in a couple of months as it was only $93 on Lazada.
Why? It hardly gets easier/better than that to get a nice espresso with such a small thing.....if you want an espresso anywhere. Otherwise, an Aeropress, a Frenchpress and a Clever are way practical no-brainer an quicker to deliver a simple and good enough coffee.
Greetings, First of all, I liked your video. Your video is very good. I have both a fully automatic machine and a mokapot. I was also thinking of buying flair58, but many people on some seller sites say that it does not give creamy espresso like in the videos. Even though I was still thinking of buying it, I gave up. In your video, despite all this effort, the amount that comes out is 37 ml. Espresso, let's say we are sitting with 2 people, while one of them is drinking, I am still trying to make the second coffee. I also see that some parts of this machine are plastic. If you know a machine that can make Double espresso (60-70ml), if possible, please let me know. It's the only one I've seen so far. The Cafelat robot appealed to me. I think the coffee produced in the robot is 55 ml.
Also, all three of the coffee machines you mentioned are french press style, the manual espresso machine I want. Please I would be very happy if you answer.
you are right! Definitely not for everyone However, for its size and the quality of espresso that this little machine brews, I don't find any other choice. Anyway Thanks for watching

Nice, good point. I could see the appeal for someone that only needs to brew espresso only on occasion.
very satisfying to watch thx for the work!
What is the grind setting for Lagom?

Just made my first brew in mine. FOUL! Next time I'll remember to chain my grind from cafetiere to espresso!
Which mill is that in the video?
That grinder the king of static generators
I should spray before grinding sorry I am too lazy for that
Ever tried an Rancillio Rocky? Insufferable.
I’m still on the fence about getting a Piccopresso. Was also gona pick up their hand grinder too
Cool video, ever have FFFF on the weight side of your Timemore scale? If so how do you fix it. Thanks
Not that I know of
@ 1min 47s in, what is the tool you used after wdt…but before the spinny distributior ?
that is the tamper came with picopresso

I didn't bought my spray bottle yet that's why I didn't spray before grinding LOL. For puck screen may try next time
Cool video ❤☕️👍🏽
Thank you 😋
Thanks for the video, i ahve a rocket apartamento and lagom mini, do you find the pico giving a different type of a flavor?
Thanks for watching and yes they have different taste and unable to share the same grind settings, I will grind much finer for apartamento.
What type of grinder is that. Where can i get it
option o logom mini
Great Video .. 23 min to make a shot
Thanks for watching
What size are you using on the lagoom mini ?
it was a 48 mm conical burrs
Why the scale readings are fluctuating so much?
becasue my glass was accidently touching the picopresso when i was pumping.
Cool shots !
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed the shot. Cheers! 📷✨
Hows the Wacaco scale? Is it worth it?
I love the scale for its compact size. I haven't found a better option in terms of price with a reputable brand name
@@bryan_roam Thank-you I like that it uses AAA batteries does it last awhile?
It do last me few months, I use it everyday at least 2 cup of coffee per day@@adriand6477
@@bryan_roam thank-you for your feedback.. I have the Breville Bambino and been looking for the right scale I currently use a precision scale but doesn't have timer and limited to 500g

yes
Nice pull...
Thanks!
Wow! Very practical indeed. A true must have.
Thanks for watching and also leave a comment
Is the stand worth purchasing?
I recommand to buy one if you use it at home most of the time.
The original concept of an espresso was something that had to be prepared quickly; Literally translated, “espresso” means fast.
Slowsso😂
I'm giving up coffee; wish me well!

Way too complicated for me. Especially in the morning.... Hahahaha.... I'll keep my Saeco automatic...
Haha, I totally get it! It's not for everyone; it's more of a niche product. Also, mornings are for simplicity, and Saeco automatics are fantastic for that hassle-free cup.
There is a middle ground between super automatic and manual, you could just get a semi-automatic sage/breville Bambino or Bambino plus
Agree on your suggestion
