To add to #4, if you are full on consumables and have a stalker beetle, toss it on the ground, loot the tool box and you can choose what you want to keep or trade with teammates
@@cavemanbonk8320 you need to have a full consumable bar (4 items) one of them need to be a stalker beetle. #1 drop stalker beetle on the ground #2 loot the tool box or dead hunter #3 swap whatever consumables you want with your teammates
Since you seem interested in the expansion of the extraction shooter genre, thought you might want to hear about this. A game called "Hell is Others" came out recently, and it's an interesting twist on the genre, with it being a top-down shooter rather than an FPS and the rounds are much more compact at 11 minutes long and a sort of an eldritch tone to the whole thing. It takes a lot from Tarkov with quests consisting of collection various junk from around town, but you have to physically show up to the traders during a match to turn the items in which adds a bit more tension to the whole affair. Same deal with buying things, so if you die and don't have weapons stored at base, you need to enter the match with money or use an ATM, and go to a potentially contested weapon shop to buy a new gun. Audio is, like with most extraction shooters, on point and very important. Other than audio cues like hearing somebody going through a cabinet or footsteps and gunshots in the distance, when you get near an enemy you start hearing a loud heartbeat to represent your character "smelling" somebody near by. This gives weak players a chance to escape and makes camping more difficult. It's an interesting game that has been steadily growing each day since it has released. I only heard about it because Steam recommended it to me and it seems very few youtubers are covering it. Just thought you might be interested!

re: rebind vault -- You can get most of the benefits of this by looking to the side and strafing while you jump. If you want to vault, look it straight on; if you want to jump, turn >45 degrees to either side. It's a little wonky and takes some practice but I find that outside a couple niche situations, it works perfectly. The worst way it can backfire is if there's another vaultable object to the side you looked at, and that got me killed once (level design dependent, but rare tbh)
A tip that might be helpful is that you can set off bear traps and trip mines with the steel scrap decoys. For bear traps aim for the pressure pad in the center. For trip mines aim at the larger part that contains the flare or wire.
I used to think the separation of vault and jump was super sweaty play but after doing it for a while it's really just kind of a quality of life improvement

I'm actually okay with the peeking if they made it to where you could change which hand you shoot from. I've aways been a left hand shooter in real life it would be cool to see more games use both angles.
I'm having a problem pinging the map when trying to use dark sight since they are related in the control scheme or something even though I've rebound them. Some games just have issues accepting inputs from a mouse and controller simultaneously. They really need to get with the ascended gamer god mode control scheme, puts everything else to shame.
@@Drimirin the ping sometimes has weird ass delays. I have no idea what's up with it. Either way I put it as my middle mouse button and that's seemed to work out pretty well for me.
The first tip is honestly a really good way to lose money imo, even having packmule you'll notice actually using the flares you have to loot so much more to get actual money, definitely recommend throwing axes if you want a way to kill hives quietly at range and be able to reuse the axe, so more loots can be money
@Alfred Banuelos It has nothing to do with rebuying, its about having another item in addition to medkits and consumables/any traps you bring that you have to refill completely before you can loot money from hunters
I thought the tip was about clearing the bees themselves once they've targeted you not about killing the hives themselves. Sounds super useful vs hive bombs.
-Don't crouch everywhere, especially through a damn open area. You're the first headshot of the game. -Don't just walk and run in a straight line, crouch a couple of times and sway a little bit. Trust me, you most of the time won't get hit and get to know where the shot came from. -Don't underestimate pistols. -Crouching walking can be quite loud while its quiet and don't crouch into your partner's view. My friend literally blocked my view while i had my aim onto a guy and i couldn't take a shot, extending the fight. -Rotate, don't peek the same place, you should know your enemy is holding the angle there. -Don't be scared to do the boss first and don't just do 1 melee and run away. You're wasting the 2-3 hits i do with the stagger. -Listen! play with over-ear-headphones. Earbuds and those 2 speakers won't tell you where anything is. -Separate but don't be too far away from your partner. Also don't run away a Kilometre when your partner dies, just stay close and behind cover. -Try wallbangs, just do it. But don't waste your ammo. -Don't waste your time on that one sparks sniper a kilometre away. Also stay away from high points when extracting, that weirdo will be 100% on some tower. This happened to me once. We ran with the bounty and there was this weirdo in the damn lighthouse and killed my friend. I headshot him with windfield out of range and i went closer, the entire staircase was trapped. Nobody escaped that game. Wasted my time because of this type of player.

I think the view is centered btw, and the character plus gun just leans to the right and so reveals more to that side. But your bullets don't spawn from the gun in hunt, and spawn from the center of your aim/camera/crosshair.
i wish people would leave bodies unlooted until after they banish boss and retrieve clue; i swear the only time they DONT loot bodies is after server clears.

Tip for new players, don't go in towers like healing waters or first testimonial church. You're going to get shot and I can't revive you.

If you are missing more than 1 and your teammate has a beetle. Loot it for yourself. Have your teammate get the second consumable and give it to you

Mouse in right hand controller in left is the best control setup for gaming. The only thing keyboards excel at is typing.
One glaring omission: your button layout is lacking separate vault/jump keys. For reference, I jump with space and vault with alt.

Is there someone who remapped Dark Vision button? I'm quite often use dark vision in the middle of CQC instead of pulling my knife.
I have a razer gaming mouse and I bound it to one of the side buttons. I use the other side button to stop burning / bleeding

You dont have to rebuy if you dont die. The value of clearing several types of hazards at range is useful. Barrels, ai, sound traps.

also, toss hivebomb into water, wait for enemy then shoot hivebomb (with silent weapon) and let the bbes loose with a gun already ready to go.
This also works for poison bombs
The only thing I fo way to often is that I put concealment over cover. That shit get me killed so often but I keep on doing it, nice tipps BTW.
