They really made the Effects happen at better times, they match up perfectly with the audio, the ride looks better than ever. It been open for about 19 years and is still operating extremely well!
For it to be almost 20 years old, it truly is the best ride…ever! The perfect amount of animatronic, screens, backwards, forward, mist,fog,etc.. it’s my absolute favorite!
One time the ride broke when I was on it and we had to wait an entire hour to get recused not the safest ride but for a 20 year old ride it’s pretty good
It was stupid and boring I wish the mummy ride will be replaced with the bad guys ride replaced the mummy gift shop with the bad guys gift shop if universal allow Mr Wolf and Mr Shark and Diane Foxington in the park universal agree 😌
I rode first rode this back in 2009, and didn't quite remember it well until I rode this again in 2016. Let me just say, that launch and drop over the lift hill was completely unexpected and I was absolutely blown away by how intense an indoor coaster can be!
Definitely not true. Not only did it replace ET (massive L), it’s way less intense, and the treasure room scene was scaled back (no mummy warriors that pop up at you).
i love this ride so much :33 i typically dont like rollercoasters but i love pretty much every single one at universal, hagrids and revenge of the mummy are the absolute best ones
Loved IT! I could NOTICE the changes made and thought the pacing of the ride had been addressed and fixed, FOR SURE! A GREAT ride made EVEN BETTER!!! Awesome JOB UNIVERSAL!!!
The updates are so great! This was already one of my favorite rides but I always was a bit sore after and kinda dreaded the launch for that reason- I think they updated the track during the refurbishment because it is way smoother now in my opinion and I don't have any problems. Also, the new updates to the lights during the launch are AMAZING! :) Love this ride.
2:23 - i've never seen that projection before. maybe that's the new version, but i didn't see the animatronic Imhotep pop up, so maybe that's the B mode.
Great ride!! I rode for the first time yesterday and I went from being nervous to laughing and applauding at the end. The ride isn't too terrible. There are some tight turns where you pull some Gs. The drops are really not bad at all. The backwards part with drop is both slow and over fairly quickly. I do remember one part when I felt some good airtime coming over a hump! The effects are fantastic though and just incredibly fun overall.
I was there but i give up because i saw a sign about how intense is this ride, but honestly i dont know if is intense because it has steep falls or is flat but so fast
@@thiiareeXD It has the Space Mountain effect where being in the dark makes it feel a lot more intense. There's a lights on video for the universal Hollywood mummy ride and it's practically a family coaster without the darkness. I haven't seen one of Orlando's version but I'd guess it's similar.
The fire coming up on the roof is amazing. 10/10 ride, can’t believe it’s only about 4 minutes long. It’s very fast and intense- my butt wasn’t touching the seat for most of the ride lol
I went to the park with my family to celebrate the new year. And while this ride isn't the best they have in the park it's definitely my favorite! The fake ending and the shoot up always gets me!!
Of all the coasters I went on this past week with my wife. This one. By far was the scariest and unexpected. I haven’t been to Disney since I was 13-14(in 2005-2006). I forgot how a lot of the rides operate ride. I am someone who is terrified of coasters and heights in general. This one is one I won’t ride again more than likely. To scary haha. I enjoyed the Harry Potter bike ride more and that one was outside where I could actually see how high up we were.
I was only going to do islands of adventure this time since I only have one day but I might end up having to get a 2 part ticket so I can ride this one again. The fire ceiling and the ending fake out are my favourite parts of this ride. It looks like they upgraded everything to LED projection now which is great to see. Looks and sounds great. Can't wait to ride it again.
After IoA opened Universal was kind of "the other park" for a few years, but they've really improved both over time and I always advise 2 day 2 Park when possible bc both can easily be a full day. 2 park 1 day can work as well but you might have to have a few Sophie's choice moments depending on crowd.
I went on this a few days ago and my family were in the back of the ride. I legit almost cried at the part when it goes backwards. I thought that I was going to fall out from my seat, but I was holding on really tight. The Escape from Gringotts one is a lot like this one except you go sideways on the tracks at one point. I screamed like crazy on both of them!
I went on it today (first roller coaster EVER) and I can say it was SO FUN! of course scary and shocking, but really fun and exciting, definitely recommend
I went on this ride back in middle school and the motional sickness really got to me. When the ride stopped at 2:23, I could tell it wasn't the end, but I really wish it were because I wasn't doing well at all. But when we started moving at 2:36, my dad then shouted "YEEEEAAAAAHHH!!" with his arms up. Because of how sick I felt after the ride, we decided to head home early. I literally didn't feel well until the moment I got to our driveway.
I missed this ride when we went to Universal last month. I found out weeks later that it was temporarily closed at the time of visit so at least I didn't miss it. Seeing the video of this makes me anticipate the next time we visit back here, by the time the new park opens up hopefully.
This is the perfect ride for someone who’s new and trying to get into roller coasters. It’s basically a mixture of a simulator and a roller coaster and still gives you that adrenaline of a REAL roller coaster!
This ride was so good! We went in after hearing it was not the best ride and it eas so awesome! Great surprises and effects - the perfect amount of cheese! I'll definitely go on it again when we go back!
Wonder how I would enjoy the ride now that I'm older. I rode this when I was way too young and I hated it. Now that I'm older though, it doesn't look that bad. Might try it again if I go back to Orlando someday.
What happened to the second mummy that is supposed to shatter the glass and send us off to our doom. Did he break down or was he removed completely. -edit after watching another video that was most recent. He is still there. So I guess they threw a tarp over the scene. Interesting they still play his audio que.
“Are you insane?!” “Get out of here the curse, its real!” Classic. I was in Florida 2-3 weeks ago and i still remember the line perfectly, its a great ride its just really fast the made me scared, i kept saying the ride was scary to my parents but it honestly wasn’t
This ride is probably the most intense rollercoaster I’ve been on including Mount Everest but this ride is gonna get me into cosmic rewind and Hagrids😁
When I went on this it got stuck on the part you go backwards but it was fine we continued the ride and I had a blast! My favorite ride at Universal by far
For dark rides I’m just holding on for dear life cause idk what to expect? Can you see the track. Other than 2 drops are there any more or is it just twist ls and turns
What did they do to the final scene? The mummy no longer appears behind the broken glass, and they cut his dialog (“death is only the beginning”). Edit: Looks like the animatronic just wasn’t working when this was filmed. But the dialog is still missing.
I remember a time my mother told me this ride was not a roller coaster and we went in until I realized the structure of the cart being coaster and I wonder why mom came to this place... I had my hat with me and i never hold something so tight in my hand than this moment at that point I closed my eyes after that ride my mom said "That was fun" despite being not into rides my legs were shakey i was trembling after that. I'll be honest that was my first ever ride despite having a fear of rollercoasters
so glad they didn’t remove the clip of brendan at the end screaming about coffee
So are we!
So many people would be upset if they did that lol
I wouldn’t have been upset myself if I had GOTTEN MY COFFEE!
I'm glad they didn't get rid of the Ihmotep animations.

I love how “re-rideable” Revenge of the Mummy is. Definitely the best indoor coaster
Yeah! Definitely worth a ride!
Imo guardians of the galaxy cosmic rewind at Epcot is the better indoor coaster but this coaster was my first so I love it too
Cosmic Rewind needs more practical effects, but it is a very cool ride.

This ride is AMAZING!!! If you go in person, you can actually feel the fire heat (and it’s really hot!)
the first time I rode it in 2019, I was screaming "THAT'S REAL FIRE!!!! THERE'S FIRE ON THE CEILING!" haha

Yes, that version of the Ride Operator is a B Mode, in this video the Imhotep animatronic wasn't working so they had to use that.
@Norman Osborn I was gonna say I’m totally disappointed with the updated version if they removed from that window
I don’t understand why Imhotep was removed from the fire scene before the big drop at the end. Everything else looks incredible though.
They removed some of his lines too.
