In this video Dagan shows us the awesome tones within the G5622T Electromatic electric guitar.
This intermediate-level guitar features the smaller, late-50's headstock, a Master Volume control with Treble Bleed Circuit for tonal clarity and a set of powerful Super HiLo'Tron Pickups so you can play the big chorus lines or scale it back for something quieter.
Vintage style appointments such as aged Inlays and Binding, a resonant Graph Tech Nubone nut and Bigsby B70 vibrato have also been included. The Chambered Spruce Centre Block also offers added resonance and helps stem that unwanted feedback whilst retaining the hollowbody feel and sound. The awesome Georgia Green finish is now available in limited quantities.

Good god Gretsch makes beautiful guitars.
Love these gretsches. Absolutely beautiful piece that go way beyond their pricepoint.
These are the ones man. New best guitars under $1000, just AMAZING.
Very nice🤗 Killer sounds🤘🏻
Thanks for video, I'm really into this one, great color plus all the components area THeRE, Electromatics are terrific!!!
When I heard the difference between the super hi-lo tron (discountinued) and the black top filtertron I started looking for the older model, last new one had sold eight months prior. Picked up a Georgia green used. Big difference from strat when fast picking but it has fantastic tone. Played it two weeks straight, had a hard time going back to other guitars.
Hilotrons sound so good. Better than the filter trons but it’s harder to get the gain out of them. I want to slap some in a 5410 trifive and get some 6118 vibes going.
The Church’s Steve Kilbey used to play a bass version of this, in a slightly different green shade. Lovely!
The Church? You must be an Aussie Cober?
It's actually a Laurel fingerboard.
That Gretsch!!! Wow!
A great review and amazing guitar, my only concern is he did not show off the bigsby while playing
After watching this video I decided to purchase this guitar. I'm looking for something that's relatively cheap. This is a guitar I will used for open mic.
I won't have to worry about it getting scratched, dinged, or dented (or even stolen).
Of course, I wouldn't want that to happen but there's no way I'm going to take a $2,000 USA made or the $5,000 custom-made guitar to open mic.
I did try out the G2420T. I found a used one for around $400. It's a great deal and also a great guitar. It's got a really nice binding for such a cheap guitar.
But it's a big guitar. It's kind of like holding a 57 Chevy.
I only started playing a little over a year ago and I've taught myself all the pentatonic and diatonic shapes. I'm in the process of trying to understand modes. But I love hearing you jam.
How has the guitar been since you bought it?
@musicjuly3415
I've been using it for open mic ever since.
People love the Gold dust finish.
I get great distortion using an MXR super bad ass distortion pedal.
@@lamontprospect9974 Thanks for the reply
Hi man! Is there neck dive problem? Thanks
I keep licking my Gretsch but I can’t taste the maple. Maybe mine is defective?
Play at 0,75x speed and it's normal :D
I'll be buying one and the amp and speakers in less than 365 dsys. Gotta save up some money and write some songs in the meanwhile! 🎼🎶🎵🎸🎷🎺🥁
Love it, but why does the lefty version not have a bigsby?
no clean sounds in this guitar?
Hi.bro,' I see, on the classic movie films, almost had show, plays this kind of guitars. Feels great.slow rocks , music ...good looking .....
dude what about feedback problems? do you think it can be a problem playing small gigs with a big amp and an angry drummer?
First person I’ve seen who isn’t totally dwarfed by the size of this guitar
Does anyone know of a hard case brand other than Gretsch that will fit this model Electromatic? I got a Gator E-335 - case solved!
Thanks for sharing that tip Mike!
Thank you!
weight?
What's the difference bewteen the 5622 and the 2622?
3000
I'm torn between getting the bigsby version or getting the non bigsby and adding a real bigsby to it
Wdym a real bigsby ?
@@TDB4 I’ve been reading reviews from owners and they say the bigsby versions have a lower quality bigsby not the original one
@@sirlost94 never knew that, thanks for the info
@@TDB4 lookup the bigsby website. They have the OGs that have “bigsby” or “patent n#” on them. But they also have a much cheaper line (less quality?) that have “bigsby licensed” written on them. That’s the ones on those 5622
Shame these have really bad neck dive, which is surprising considering the heavy bigsby at the bridge end. You can see the neck drops every time he (almost, but daren't) lets go. Why can't these guys do a proper rundown instead of trying to show of their playing skills, which don't suit the guitar in this case anyway.
No they don't. I have it and it's incredibly well balanced and lighter than my Les Paul. But I agree it's not a great demo
Used to own one. No neck dive what so ever. Not even remotely. Loved it but had to sell it for financial reasons.
Beautiful guitar made to sound like cheap garbage by a horrible amp.
Yeah my dad has this exact amp is he said it was a piece of shit 🤷♂️
I do speed also..but slow down mate
Lol. Old boy here isn't fucking around lol
What a waste of a Gretsch.... cheaply overdriven sound, tacky styles and too much talking/barking - sorry!
Can you say China.
Korean.
