    We are now doing weekly aerial flyovers depending on the support that we get. Our cost range from pilot fees to rental fees of the Cessna 172 that is used for the flyovers over the sites.

    The scale of this operation is staggering. Even if they weren’t occasionally stopping construction to launch the world’s biggest rocket, the construction project itself would qualify as a mega project. But then they also build rockets on a construction site. It’s mind blowing how they manage all these sub projects and still launch.

      @@TheEvilmooseofdoom The 3 described in the video: Actuate cargo door (failed) propellant transfer (results ambiguous) Raptor relight (skipped).
      So at best 1 out of 3, which is fine, because the only objective that really mattered, nominal (sub)orbital insertion, was achieved.

    • @Imagine_Beyond
      @Imagine_Beyond Місяць тому +1

      @maxwellquebec8675 I think you are forgetting a few. It finished its orbital insertion burn (almost orbit) and it also rentered. Those were major accomplishments

    • @Imagine_Beyond
      @Imagine_Beyond Місяць тому +1

      You also should not forget about the Booster!! It nearly landed on the Gulf of Mexico and even had an engine relight! It also survived the hot stages and the flip manuever. This flight was really successful. Starship performed everything a non reusable rocket could do and it also achieved a bit more. They are probably only a few flights away from full reusability

    • @maxwellquebec8675
      @maxwellquebec8675 Місяць тому

    The starship collection area looks like a trophy area. Appears they have 3 designs to test in microgravity. So far, they have proven the fins on starship don't work to control spin in space. I wonder if the spin of flight 3 created gravity on the starship? The changes in the center of gravity with the fuel transfer could have caused the spin issue.

    • @jamskinner
      @jamskinner Місяць тому +4

      To early to say if problems were from fins. But I doubt it.

    • @Barthhhelona
      @Barthhhelona Місяць тому +6

      The fins are not meant to control any thing in space. They are meant to help starship once it enters the atmosphere and guide it to a landing zone.

    • @cboy-ou2hr

    Emergency!!!
    Baffles will not work to prevent the slushing problem, because the tanks of the starship system are too large. That is the only reason why the starship will explode every time.
    The solution:
    The tanks of Starship and Superheavy need 2 disk valves, expanding the diameter of each tank. One of the disks, the one on top, rotates above the contiguous disk to close the overlaping holes on the surface of the disks; to reduce the Size of the tank by dividing it, before any rotation or acceleration of the rocket. This will prevent slushings and protect the plumbing, if located 10% above the bottom section of each tank. Large telescopic pistons can be attached below the bottom of disk valves to control the fuel pressure as the piston expands into the fuel tank.
    I have built a model that works perfectly. The second disk valve can be located 10% below the front of the tank, to also protect the front of the tanks from the slushing forces.
    The gridfins are too flat and too small to be effective enough and will not be able to control the booster.
    Why is Elon not using four pins instead of three to secure each heat shield tyle? Four anchor points provide far more stability to secure a tyle, not three.What is more important than securing the heat shield? Four anchor points would eliminate the problems of tyles falling off the ship every time there is an engine ignition. Please get this message to Elon. Thank you.
