Fun fact: the original Xenomorph from Alien was played by Bolaji Badejo who was from Nigeria and stood 6'10 foot, he was found in a pub when somebody working on Alien noticed him and chose him for the role due to his "very long legs".
Sadly he died in 1992 due to sickle cell disease.

I never liked the idea that the Xenomorphs race was just the result of an accidental crossover of black goo + insert dna of choice. I like the idea that they were an advanced communicative hive race far older than anyone could know. i.e. how they were originally portrayed.
Yeah I hate how he's gone and made his own universe worse and worse with the prequels nobody asked for or wanted as they just made more questions instead of answering any questions created by the original movies
Most fans don't really recognize the prequel movies. Xenomorphs should be a perfected creature that evolved from thousands of years of evolution rather than an android's experiment decades before the events of the first film

That's my lore and I'm sticking to it. "Black goo" has got to be the more boring and dull contradiction. If black goo is more effective then way even have facehuggers? It just makes no sense. Either from a "man made" stand point or an "evolution" one. The whole point of the xenomorphs is that they evolve and get better/stronger.

The Newborn has some quite disturbing suggestions. So the Alien Queen due to the Human DNA has a womb, and just so happens to have 3 male scientists tied up on the wall next to her when she gives birth to the Newborn... which upon seeing it one of the male scientists gets all 'fatherly towards it.

Fun fact: Xenomorphe’s take on the attributes of what ever species it hatches from. That’s the the human one and the dog on look different. Which makes the predator one even scarier. It also explains why they look slightly different in each film.
However royal gel can make a drone into a queen too.

That's called Horizontal Gene Transfer. There are real life cases, mostly in viruses and other simple organisms, but a few cases have been documented in fungi, fish and even humans (it looks like the Malaria parasite has acquired some DNA sequences from us that help it survive longer in our bodies).

The transitions with every design shown in these videos are stellar.
@everyone The xenomorph has a hyper-accelerated metabolism, meaning it can grow back lost limbs and appendages with ample time, somewhat like lizards. They inherit DNA from their hosts, and use those traits to maximum effectiveness. For example, if a xenomorph hatched from someone who had cancer, then the xenomorph may gain the ability to spread cancer, and the disease’s lethality would increase tenfold as it would coenside with the xenomorph’s genes and metabolism. This is truly what makes these creatures dangerous: their ability to cope and create advantages out of negative traits. I hope you liked my brief rundown, and thank you for reading.

I like the theory that David was working from a blueprint, gives the Xenomorphs more of an “ancient abomination” feeling and makes the Engineers seem like some Eldritch race
Which is actually the idea. A lot of people assumed it was the xenomorph's origins when really we see in Prometheus ancient statues depicting the xenomorph we know and love. Honestly cool idea of xenomorphs being this perfected possibly artificial species that dates millennia back after having been made in some way by the engineers.

AvP actually didn’t contradicts Prometheus or Covenant, David only recreated the Aliens DNA
@A1 RB Battles it would literally be impossible for David to be the original creator of the species even if you disregarded in AVP. Covenant takes place less than 20 years before alien and in alien you see a fossilised engineer that has clearly been the victim of a chestburster. Clearly much older than 20 years

It’s what it is a plot hole nothing it’s ever gonna seamlessly connect the Original with the new films because again it ignores the originals story partially
This fact actually makes the Alien prequels even worse.. so we're not actually witnessing the genesis of the xenomorph species just an androids attempts to replicate them? It makes the whole series so redundant. I think we needed a film in between Prometheus and Covenant where Shaw and David actually meet the Engineers and discover the xenomorphs naturally and then David becomes inspired and ultimately obsessed to create his own strain, that would atleast make sense but as it stands the whole thing is just pointless and devoid of logic. I love Ridley but I think he took too many leaps to have the franchise back in his control.
The question is: Is Ridley Scott a genius who went astray, or is he a doofus with beginners luck?

Why are these animations so satisfying.
I know a lot of people don't like Covenant, but the bloodburster/neomorph is by far the scariest one to me. The medbay scene was the scariest of the film and pretty iconic.

I don’t like Ridley Scott’s new Alien trilogy. It deliberately broke established canon that many took for granted beforehand... wait. For the first time I realize that I actually understand how some people feel about the new Star Wars movies. I like the new Star Wars, but now I know exactly how those who don’t feel. Because that’s how I feel about Alien.
It sucks but luckily Disney will forget all after Aliens (2) like what Miramax did with Halloween last year.
@@tiagoyago89 Terminator Dark Fate showed us that forgetting everything that happened after a James Cameron sequel isn't really a recipe for success either unfortunately. Disney Star Wars was at least entertaining in it's badness, with new Alien movies I gave up after Prometheus.

It's hardly a first for Ridley Scott too. He's infamous for his indecisiveness on Blade Runner, he changed it around quite a few times, even after the relase.

the story from AVP is just one mans interpretation of the murals he read in the temple which were in multiple ancient languages. So AvP can still be canon if we assume that xenomorphs existed before david created the Protomorph.

The evolution of Leatherface, from 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' franchise.
“Was David working from a blueprint or did he invent it himself?” I’m not an diehard expert on the Alien timeline, but I have seen all of the films. It seems to me that maybe we shouldn’t be so quick to dismiss the AVP films. Consider this: In AVP (set in the present day), Weyland Industries was present. I watched the Prometheus prequel web series. The various androids we’ve seen (i.e. David) were built and programmed by Weyland (am I wrong?). Seems completely likely that David would have access to that data. He may have been programmed with it. Seems like to me, it fits into continuity rather well. I actually had that thought as I was watching Prometheus and seeing the proto-X born.
AVP purposely used Weyland Corporation in part 1 then Yutani Corporation in part 2 so that it would eventually lead to the events of the first alien movie (basically saying mankind's space traveling capabilities in the Alien franchise came from reverse engineered Predator tech) where the company Weyland-Yutani is leading the expeditions into space. The third AVP movie was supposed to take place in same time as Aliens and Alien 3, featuring the Colonial Marines running into xenos and predators in another planet similar to the iconic games.
Ridley Scott simply refused to recognize this when he decided to create the abominations known as the prequel movies
I remember seeing a video that talks about this a bit. I think they were trying to put together a full timeline for all the films in both franchises. The theory was that David was trying to recreate the xenomorphs based on the ones encountered in both avp films. Basically bring them back from extinction. It could also help explain why the ones in the original movies are more biomechanical while the ones in avp are more organic looking.

The first alien movie shows a drone xenomorph meaning it just exited the chestburster phase and after they have been in the drone stage long enough, they begin to develop ridges and more defense mechanisms that stage is called the "Warrior xenomorph"
And even then scary as hell before it even becomes a warrior.
This is the most friendly alien story good job

I kind of wish he threw some references to the video games and comics in there - yeah, I know this is mainly live-action, but he was willing to reference cartoons for Robo-Cop.
These additional ones could describe other breeds of the Aliens explaining the species' unique variety, while also expositing on more information about potential life-cycles of the creatures; particularly the Praetorian Guards - if a dominant male can survive long enough, it will eventually molt its form, becoming the larger and stronger Praetorian version of the creature - these males are often attributed with guarding the Queen in the nest. However, if no such queen is present, the Praetorian will eventually molt into a new Queen to continue the life-cycle.

In the movie the Predator removed his mask for the sake of plot and got hugged for his trouble. I guess he knew he was compromised, but chose to complete the hunt anyway.
