This song affirms the reality of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and of His power to raise each of us from the dead. We all will face death, and we all will be raised again to life. Spiritually speaking, we die many deaths in the choices and circumstances that so often separate us from the Light, but thanks to a loving God who gave His perfect Son to live and die and live again for us, we can be given new life over and over and over again.
This song found me at a time when I felt numb to life's happinesses; dying inside. Its words and music cut through the numbness and reminded me that there is unending ocean of love inside me, emanating from the Savior and restoring hope as fast as I remember to turn to Him.
Through Him, we all shall rise.
