Drive from Taba to Cairo, Egypt. Lunch at El Marwa Hotel. Maraha and Elim, Ain Hawarah. Mara Wells, where Moses parted the Red Sea
By noon, we were on the road again. We stopped for lunch at El Marwa Hotel Restaurant.
We stopped to view Marah and Elim, The places of Bitterness and Fruitfulness, Exodus 15:23, 24; Numbers 33:8
We drove alongside the Red Sea for some distance, and stopped the bus when the sun was setting at 4:30pm to see Ain Hawarah (Ayn Hawwarah), said to be where the Bible communities of Marah and Elim were located, which the Israelites traveled through during the Exodus. Marah is the place of bitterness while Elim is the place of fruitfulness, advancement, progress and fulfillment. You cannot get to Elim until you have gone through Marah.
We also passed through the Wilderness of Sin, one of the places which the Israelites wandered through during their Exodus journey. ('Sin' is a local word meaning 'the moon'.)
We drove by Rephidim, meaning Place of Rest (Wadi Refayid), where Moses commanded a rock to bring forth water.
When the sun was setting at 4:30pm, we stopped the bus to view the location of Mara Wells, where Where Moses’ Parted the Red Sea.
Ships pass through the Suez Canal. Whereas vehicles go through the Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel is about 5 kilometre (3 miles) long, and 28 metres (90 feet) under the water.
Dinner at Sphinx Sun2, with a view of the Pyramids!
Reach Cairo about 8pm, Dinner at Restaurant: Sphinx Sun 2 Restaurant, Giza Governorate, Egypt. Food tasted funky and bland.
