Hi, I really enjoyed the way you presented the device. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind telling me what software you used to make the animation at around 6:23?
So can you use this technology go get vision using just light with no electric components and transfer the data using optic cables? Example you are in a tank and you want to see enemy but you can not get out ... or in a submarine, bunker etc...
You could kinda think of it like that, but you could also think of a lens (Fourier transform) like that. Fourier transform and similar transforms are often used digitally in compression.
In the Supplementary Material for the paper espace.library.uq.edu.au/view/UQ:14a93dc There are example phase masks you can use 'as-is' to make one yourself, and there's also Matlab code for calculating your own masks.

Great ❤❤❤

does this also work as a sort of real-time compression?

What is this device? Is it being manufactured? Is it open source? Where can we get more info?
