How does a gaussian beam of electromagnetic radiation travel through a metal sheet? Is it like with an electric current that obeys the skin effect? Is the radiation distributed along the entire skin depth of the sheet? Or is the radiation limited to where the beam impacts the sheet?
Respected sir can putting l=0 and p=0 in LG beam we could get results for fundamental gaussian beam and for plane wave? Also tell can LG beam expressions be converted into plane wave?

Gaussian beam is a kind of eigenstate. This is why we analyse on it. It is not that easy to get ideal parellel light.
