It’s so interesting seeing the Oregon “Speed” signs instead of “Speed Limit” signs. I believe it was illegal for a long time under Oregon law to impose speed limits so the signs just suggested a speed. Now, I think technically there can be speed limits and I think they would need to have them for federal funding. I lived in Oregon as a kid so they were what I was used to, but now having spent half my life elsewhere, I have gotten used to the signs used in all 49 other states but do chuckle a little when I see the Oregon ones when I visit family.
Awesome video! Have you heard the new Donkey Kong ride in Universal Studios Hollywood? I opened on December 5, 2024, same as the opening of the Super Mario ride on February 17, 2023.
I don’t why I thought I-5 wouldn’t suffer from slow downs or near gridlock traffic. But yet here I am surprise. And yes that’s a lot of overpasses along I-405.
This part of the system dates from the late 1950's and early 60's, and it looks it's age. There also hasn't been a sizable amount of improvement. But, because of the lack of space in much of the city and the robust environmental community there, there's not much that can be done. This looks more like an interstate in Boston, Philly or New York.
Would you say Portland has the least impressive interstate infrastructure of any major city?
I-405 in Portland has so many bridges and overpasses for a small route
Never seen so many bridges n ovepasses in 1 area in my life..i mean geeze

It’s not in Hollywood, it’s in Japan

Can other Portland area freeways be signed as an interstate?
Some freeways can be signed as interstates.
Are Eugene and Salem coming up?
