Gegard not only " legend" but a top 5 middleweight all time and could've been perhaps the best ever if he didn't rest on his stand up success and also refusing the " steel sharpens steel " adage as he always remained comfortable training with his people.
Best chin & best jab led to him not fixing the one shortcoming he had in the stand up game as he has fought flat-footed over 2 decades .It's absolutely amazing that he's never been knocked out ( tko vs Uriah and he turtled a half second too long as he was making his way to knees).
Incredibly smart over all these years whether a cage or a ring. Never took damage ( outside of schlemenko fight ) which is crazy cause his stand up was flawed but his bread & butter at the same time.
