Learning how to control your bike when things get dicey is just as important, if not more important, than controlling your bike when thing aren't. Other than bunny hops, Its funny how most mtb courses on the shore don't teach any of those fundamentals. Cheers Wade 🤜🤛

You're a fantastic teacher Wade, saw your video on drops, where without the bike you just showed how a human jumps off a little drop, crouch low, spring up and forward to travel forward, absorb the impact. Genius to me, made it seem natural. Im a bit trapped in the old school wheelie the front and drop back wheel down, which only works at slow speeds and flatish landings.I'm goin' to practice it I'm 55 so it might be a slow process to learn it now but I need it for safer drops.

Wow thanks! So much valuable info!! I've been brainwashed to think that skids are a no no but it makes perfect sense to practice them to improve bike handling. And those scandies are sick! 🤙

Great, simple explanations and how to video(s). I also use the same break leaver example with my clients and they all react in the same way saying “oh yeah..I never knew”..

I fractured scaphoid trying to do sick cuttys on an 88 Bush pilot on the way to a Halloween party. I was told, (by Aussie Mark) a real cutty was all in a quick bar turn, no brakes, no bum swing. Full gas no brakes its a scary skill to learn.
I can manual pretty good but have never mastered it with any brake control, so it's all or nothing.
It great to get skills advice from the Godfather, thx for doing this Wade.

Everyone seems to have a slightly different approach and style with cutties, such an awesome feeling when it clicks! Thanks for watching & sharing!

    Thanks for these, very handy.
Been learning a little trick, needs a smallish staircase, ideally chest height max, roll up to it fast and then pull up like your going up a roller. On my jump bike i've so far found two stair sets i can just unweight and roll up without pedalling. The scary part is commiting to the speed. You think your gonna hit the steps and stop dead but you don't, its just like going down. The faster you go and teh better your unweight timing the easier it is to just glide up short quite steep steps.

Good tips for manuals. When you lift sit back over the rear axle like your sitting down into a chair, that will help keep knees bent weight in a neutral position. Most importantly!!Focus on your breathing!! Manuals are like a form of meditation. Let your body do the work just work on your breathing.

Like the Scandi flick - classic Rally Car move. Use that in a few tight corners on seymour when your coming in really hot. Works like a hot damn

Is it called a manual because I can't do it automatically or because you have to be a MAN to do one???
