My original plan with this build was to scale the new Black Cane unique, however I found phantasms without major investment to be very lackluster in spawning and staying alive. So, I ended up falling back to a a Cold Iron Point and some adjustments to make a very comfortable and powerful Poison Blade Vortex Occultist with ever so nice chaos pops that can take on all the endgame!

Hey, EE, small tip, at 6:54, the second Zana shows up, standing by her gives the "immune to damage and cannot die" buff so you don't gotta worry about elders snazz and waiting for it to go off.

Your Husky BV is still one of my favorite builds of all time (Any chance of an update to that one? :D) so I decided to try this out, really enjoying it so far, its my first HoAG build. Small tree change I would suggest is removing 3 points from the scion life wheel and putting them into Cruel Preparation. You get the same 15% life plus 5% all res and 10 int, no downside.
I was trying to build something similar as a Cyclone BV CoC. Will take some inspiration from here.
Have you considered a manastorm build? I found it earlier, didn’t even know it existed. Now I’m obsessed with it and have started making a build for it
the shield was added this league. mana stacking hierophant could be great with some aoe skill.
@@maxhax367 Played Divine Ire Totems in Legion, AoE was already nuts (aimed for 5k Mana + 60% MoM). Manastorm is self cast though.
have you thought about putting empower in with plaguebearer as well? its the one way to raise its damage cap :o

I'm a simple man, I see an EE upload, I abandon my Shaper run, lose all my portals and fire up UA-cam.
From written guide: 4 link in Helmet : Wither - Spell Totem - Multi-Totem - Faster Casting. I assume it's a mistake since not only there is not enough sockets but PoB has Curse+Aura in a Helmet which makes sense considering Diadem.

I wonder how Soulwrest phantasms would do if you could get them to proc poisons.
Have some skill spam corpses for single target (spell totem, multi totem, desecrate/unearth, faster casting) and an offering skill to recover phantasms.
Great build! Quick question, what is the grey cloudy aura that surrounds you?
It's from the amulet, the impressence. It's named Maddening Presence, which is triggered when you kill a rare or unique monster. Maddening Presence is a buff that inflicts Malignant Madness on nearby enemies, reducing their action speed and damage by 10%. It's very useful for this build which is close-combat style.

any reason why you're not using vaal bv ? does it not stack poisons ?
You can use Vaal BV, I just wanted a cheaper lvl 21 gem and forgot to get it later on

Hey, very nice guide, can you/someone explain what "since *we have a curse on hit that proliferates* with these explosions causing a chain reaction." means? Is that Profane Bloom?
The Embalmers gloves are corrupted to grant the Temporal Chains curse on hit. When Profane Bloom explodes a cursed enemy's corpse, the gloves applies the curse to all that it hits. (If that explosion kills them, they too explode) The combination allows the chain reaction.

I've also build a BV Poison and I chose to go with the Assassin. The Damage is nuts (14,000,000 ShaperDps) and 4k Hp is fine (Did all endgame content with it) cause the dmg makes up for it in most fights. But I really enjoyed seeing a more defensive version for this core idea. I'm probably trying that out too. Nice build ^^
what are your thoughts on using two cold points instead of just the 1+shield?
You loose a lot of block chance, Life, ES & space for resistances. I wouldn't really recommend it.
Is this still good for 3.10?
on the diadem i got one with "trigger socketed spells when you focus" any ideas how this would improve the build?

And loose a large amount of Life, Es, Block, Res, Cratable Mods? for +2 Levels?
@@EngineeringEternity I suppose? It was just an honest question. I was wondering if +2 more levels would be worth it since you made the dagger sound like it was very strong for the build as 1. You wouldn't lose too much block I assume since you get some from dual wielding but I definitely could be wrong.
can this build delve? i am thinking about finding walls in the darkness in between 2 nodes
what does the desecrate do? i cant seem to find any skill that cosume corpses
Feast of Flesh from Devouring Diadem consumes corpses and returns Life, ES and Mana.

Especially since I'm finding that I don't like hyrbid life/es builds. ES feels so much better utilized as a mana resource.
Did assassin version of poison BV, had same ehp, 78% resistances since i was going with apep and 80% more damage, only pain was either you had to equip obliteration wand or get explosion chest for clear that blocks out quick swap ( if you don't have two apeps for quick swap, higher budget but much more QoL ) because normal changing items could make you death animation due to self poison setup but it's not that annoying all i had to do is just either wait for poisons to lower down or get second apep so it won't get me into death animation. My budget for build was 4-5 exalts top :)

nevermind just noticed the leveling guide is in your written guide! Not sure if you mention it anywhere in your video that you even have a written guide, but if not I'd recommend just making it known for dummies like me. Anyways, great guide and i'm excited to try it out!
I haven't mentioned it recently, but every one of my videos always has an accompanying written guide. Generally, its just the script I do the voice over from.

The only thing I hate about these builds is the stutter you have when dealing with large groups of mobs. I can notice it even on your videos.

Great build! You should consider getting the Shadow starting nodes as both the physical and chaos damage increases apply for a total of 112% increased damage in just 5 nodes.
when can we have tank builds
saw a streamer get one shot (not multi hit, yes literally one shot) with 7000 HP and 70% damage mitigation. I dunno if tanks are worth it.

@@zachd1973 it should with steelskin at least. Is it at the level he said it should be in? I think plague bearer is selfcast tho.
My plans of playing this are dead anyway. They already said they are nerfing herald of agony.

Hi, do you prefer the +2 conv wand than the Cold Iron? Because the damage or Agony is scaled based on level. And can I replace Catarina helmet with +3 and reduce mana reserved bone helmet (Pristine + Bound) and hand-cast the offering from the unset ring or the conv wand with "trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill" the wand is about 4-10 ex depend and I've some on the shop?
p/s: Idk does 2-white Trial Grid better than the glove in the build?

@@JThelen1031 Eldritch battery is 1 node away from the main tree, just sacrifice 2 hp node on Scion's section. Also elder bone helmet can included life, +3 and minion damage. Only +3 and minion damage means 6l helmet. The coming calamity capped Agony reserve in 45%, that's mean extra curse or aura can be used. Also +2 conv wand with good roll can increase level of agony further.
p/s: Elder bone helmet ilvl 86 now just 70-80c for each, and the potential is unlimitless

Further note: Minions increased % Damage mods on normal jewels will boost your Poison DPS + HoG by 8% (You'll get extra dps from minion mods thanks to Spiritual Aids! Take advantage of it!), which is really good if you can't find cheap % global phys mod (Sometimes % global phys mod w/ DPS over time and chaos DPS over time generally more expensive as many people starting to play Toxic rain miner.)
Early game is very straight forward (I used zombie + blight + holy flame totem) until I reach level 38 and buy a tabula rasa: Your DPS will sky rocketted and skim through the content like a piece of cake.
