The 2023's are objectively better than these in pretty much every way, but for viewers interested in something like a PHEV that would rather avoid the fight to get one of the new ones, I appreciated the post of a previous model! This was also a great demonstration of merging onto a highway in a PHEV with a good battery charge, which isn't something you see a lot in reviews / driving videos for these. Looks like it can handle getting up to highway speeds in EV mode fairly well as long as you aren't in a hurry. Thanks for posting!
The acceleration in EV mode in the '22 Prime is VERY similar to the acceleration of my 2002 Classic Prius. VERY quick 0-30 and then it falls on its face.
@BlackElf94 also has a smoother ride over road imperfections.....15 inch wheels are smoother riding than 17 inch or 19 inch the only options on the new ones.

The Prius is an extremely different and quirky car compared to any other. It had to have a cluster like that. I actually like it a lot, pretty easy to see while driving and has a ton of options. Unfortunately the new gen Prius got rid of that and seems it's very poorly placed
I’m not. Big fan of how the speedometer is in the middle of the dash and hard to see you could easily go over the speed limit due to not being able to see your speed that good.

@@aspecreviews This is good input! It's nothing amazing, but that 0 - 30 is what counts around town most of the time.
I like that the 2022 has better headroom and visibility, otherwise the 2023 seems better on all counts

Now I want a Prius Prime just for the song 9:25 🥺
Is your 2023 Prius prime video coming out today? I’m hyped to see you drive it like a rocket lol

Why does some cars have the speedometer more in the front of the car? Like instead of a normal housing, and does that type have a name?

I love it. Not a big a focus change and surprisingly EASIER to see than a traditional speedo.
looking for 2023 Prius
🚙electric car with engine👍
hybrid??
Review almost got toasted immediately by the Hyundai driver lmao
This shouldn't be $35k
The least expensive to toyotas new cars.
Then what should it be if you think that’s unfair?
@@YallVin These cars range from 20-25k USD pretty much everywhere else except for North America for some reason.
Hence, this car shouldn't be 35k.
@@dave_riotsstill does not answer the question what do you like a fair price is then
@@dave_riotsYou’re paying for the ability to plug in your vehicle, which is a pricey upgrade
Am wondering why people still buy this car when every other toyota model already has a hybrid variant.
Cuz it's the most efficient, and also the most unique one
My commute would cost $2000 more a year for a 2L/100km economy loss going to a regular hybrid like a Camry.
Looks super outdated now, the new one is 1000x improved.
61th😂🤣🤣
Nice grammar

The steering looks too light
