I bought a 2010 Corolla LE as a graduate school commuter last year. It’s incredibly bland, but I’ve grown to love it. Its never given me a problem, I don’t care if it gets dinged in a parking lot, and the ride is surprisingly smooth.
Love the 10th Gen Corolla. Have the 2010 S trim in white which I purchased new in early 2011. It has been garage kept all its life and just clocked over 61K miles. It’s a family hauler/daily driver. I’ve kept it stock with the exception of the Altis LED taillights and bike roof rack. It’s such a great reliable car.
@@OliverXAlice_fpe Let me make this simple. If a car is named a Sample Car 2013, it would’ve been made in 2012. They usually push the cars out before the next year starts. That’s why 2023 models are due to come out while it’s still 2022
The first time I fell in love with a Corolla was when this gen came out in 2009. I was 12 and I remember I was always looking for them on the streets. The design was simple but stylish at the same time. I definitely prefer the pre-facelift.
This model year is what I consider the last of the 2000's era toyota corolla. The model that came after this, my firstt car had a more integrated touchscreen, throwing away the standard double DIN, climate controls with LCDs, and a much more modern look. Also the 2014 was the first year with the CVT, although you could still get a manual in the L base trim and S Plus trims.
@@zsamps The XRS is a really great car. If I'm not mistaken, the 11th gen Corolla did have a XRS version in Brazil. Here in Mexico, we got the 10th gen Corolla XRS from 2009 to 2013, 3 years more than the US, and the same years as Canada.
I used to drive a 2012 toyota corolla le during my time in high school, university, grad school, and first 2 jobs. The car drove terrible and I had to floor the gas half the time to get anywhere. The suspension was terrible because the car would get unsettled around corners even when the inside wheel hits a bump. Top speed was 110 mph and car would sway beyond 75 mph. Had to replace the rotors and brakes 3 times a year. However, this car provided so much memories and opportunities that I would not have otherwise. Now that the car is gone, I am finding myself looking for POV videos on UA-cam to reminisce the good old days.
This car is not meant to be driven over 85mph. I read the manual. Also it’s a safe car, meaning it’s not meant to go fast in a short amount of time. Stepping on it immediately turns the rpm to red. Not recommended for experienced drivers
Man I wish I could have found a clean old Corolla like this, it seems like most used Corollas have been abused so I gave in and bought a new one (that I’m very happy with).
This is hands down a perfect example of the best corolla generation IMO. Its combination of design, comfort, economy with that unbeatable Toyota reliability and build quality. It does sound like it needs a wheel bearing tho.
